Ogene001: Something that you have floated you want to defend it again? CORNfusion The floating was to merge the rates and get the true value Now it can be defended |

mrvitalis: U want to defend floated naira? Lmao Nowhere in the world does the exchange rate dangle up and down. The idea of the floating is to determine the true exchange rate and then peg it. Another reason for floating is to make all the rates as close as possible. Of course, some pained saboteurs are at work to frustrate the policy. I trust the FG to outsmart them |

GoodGovernance: Another big lie!
Very reputable research and statistics organizations globally, have all agreed that Nigeria is now the largest producer of rice in Africa.
Importation of paddy rice is a very BIG lie. Continue deluding yourself |
Politics › Re: FG Okays Re-Opening Of Seme Border For Vehicle Importation by Dotherightthing: 9:54am On Jun 22, 2023 |
GoodGovernance: Expensive does not remove the fact that Nigeria is the largest producer of rice in Africa.
That foreign rice is cheaper than local rice ,other than Ofada,is a big lie.
Ofada is more expensive because of its limited production. Foreign rice is more expensive because of difficulty in its importation, and very high custom duties. Our local producers are also importing the paddy. |

Nigeria is now the largest producer of rice in Africa.
What comparative advantage are you then referring to? Yinmu Why is local rice so expensive |

malali:
There is no reason we should import a grain of rice. Same people that want dollar to come down to 160 naira These are the same people that want to import rice, toothpick and matches. I have NEVER seen a rice farm in my life! Nigeria is NOT good in rice-production!! |

Politics › Re: Southern Kaduna Celebrates The Appointment Of Musa As Chief Of Defence Staff by Dotherightthing: 1:47pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
Gospel2Day: In the Nigerian context, a Chief of Defence Staff is not that powerful. Soldiers don't answer to him directly. They answer to the Chief of Army Staff. The Chief of Army Staff in turn answers to the Commander in Chief, Mr President. In Nigeria, CoDS is somewhat a figurehead position. But if the CoAS cooperates with him and truly respects him, both of them can stop the killing spree in North Central. The solution is to have a division or battalion that answers to him directly, without the interference of the CoAS. He can use the soldiers in the division or battalion for special operations anywhere he sees fit. CDS Badeh was more powerful than COAS Minimah Also, the CDS is a full general while the COAS is a lieutenant general |
