Culture › Re: Why We Cancelled Yoruba Cultural Ceremony, Isese Festival – Emir Of Ilorin by Dotherightthing: 12:37pm On Jul 09, 2023 |
iamrealdeji: I'm a core Yoruba from ancient city of Sakiland where Ogun got consumed by the earth with the chain in Ogidigbo Saki. But the ancient devil worship they call traditional religion is what we Africans should abolish. Isese religion is what has ruined our environment to this extent. It promotes money rituals, black magic and human sacrifice, etc. In ancient city of Sakiland,Egunguns(Masquerades)were once beaten black and blue by the good Alisunnah brothers and since then they know their boundaries and they even hide their Isese name. No Saki woman wants to marry them,no Saki man wants to marry from an Isese family. They get forced to adopt Islamic names and hide their Isese religion, many of them convert to Islam. ISLAM IS GOING TO RULE THE WORLD. That religion from Arabia is the world's fastest growing religion. Isese religion has no place in our society. The religion from Arabia is from God,Isese is from devil. That's why they don't even mention Olodumare in their incantations. They would rather mention Ogun lakaye or Sango. Isese is a religion of the past,Saki people are Muslims to the core now even though our grand parents and great grand parents practiced Isese but many converted to Islam. Family masquerades and Idols are been burnt by the brave boys in families in Saki everyday. If you dare come to Saki trying to rise Isese again, you might get beaten or worse might happen,Saki people are good muslims. Ilorin is now following the steps of Saki in being better Muslims too. Kudos to Dr Imam Ali Again,Dr Oloun Oyin and the great Sheikhs and Islamic scholars of Ilorin for urging the King to take action in banning Isese festival. I believe most Yoruba kings will start banning it now too. Oba Tijani Abimbola of Saki was the first to ban those ancient Isese festivals. The present King of Saki is now in Mecca in Saudi Arabia practicing that beautiful religion from Arabia and the best gift that could be given to any one,Islam worshipping,Allah. Isese religion is dying so fast,Islam is the way of God,Isese is the way of Satan, vengeance, rituals, human sacrifice, etc What does Islam tell you about where you will end after death? |

What concerns pigs... with this matter sef Every reasonable person knows ILORIN was conquered by the Fulanis. Islam was used to bind and unite all the indigenes of city together with Yoruba adopted as the general language. Isese would be seen as Yoruba domination of the city. The lady shouldn't have made noise about the festival at all. Just do it low-key. ILORIN is NOT Yorubaland. That said, the emir gave no coherent reason for cancelling the festival. |

maasoap: This is what I'm yet to understand. A lot of masses are really speaking in support of subsidy removal as if they were not benefiting from the oil and power subsidy, as if they had something to benefit from its removal. Many people can't go out anymore with their private cars. How can we borrowing money to fund subsidy for chrissake |

maasoap: Government has responsibility to make life easy for her citizens. The countries that your fellow Nigerians are japaying to don't leave their citizens at the mercy of economic hardship. Nigeria is a uselessly corrupt country with very unpatriotic and selfish citizens. Subsidies will NEVER work in a country like Nigeria |

Styluss: You are right, refinery wont be functional till 2025 or so. There might be a railway before then not sure if the existing ones are built to support cargo trains We expect the refinery to commence production in early August 2023. But it appears Dangote may have other ideas. All the same, a cargo train will save Lekki from the impending chaos. |

DeLaRue: The Op twisted the man's word.
The retired army captain was in favour of the President's action.
He said in any other country retiring over 100 major generals would be alarming, but that Nigeria 's 300 or so major generals are simply too many.
He went on to say he was not aware of any other country in the world that had over 300 major generals.
He was very unhappy that we have ended up with that many.
But the Op has twisted the Captain 's word to form a headline that suggests the man is worried that Nigerian army would collapse.
The Captain never said or implied anything of that nature.
Social media is very dangerous o. You are correct! |

oyatz: There are two ports at Apapa, Tinn Can and Apapa Ports. Let say these two ports handles 80 ships that berth in Lagos per week.
Now with this new Port, 30 out of the 80 ships that come to Lagos go to Lekki Port, will it increase congestion at Apapa or Lekki? Lekki is already congested in terms of traffic jam on the Lekki-Epe expressway. Anything extra no matter how small will worsen it. Apapa may improve. But more people may go into importation on the long run... |
