. . . ..CONAKRY, Guinea (AP) — The medical school professors no longer want Kadiatou Fanta in the classroom. Her boyfriend has broken up with her. Each day the 26-year-old eats alone and sleeps alone. Even her own family members are afraid to touch her months after she survived Ebola.

Long gone are the days when she was vomiting blood and wracked by fever. And even with a certificate of health declaring her as having recovered, she says it's still as though "Ebola survivor" is burned on her flesh.

"Ebola has ruined my life even though I am cured," she says. "No one wants to spend a minute in my company for fear of being contaminated."

The Ebola virus is only transmitted through direct contact with bodily fluids of the sick, such as blood, saliva, urine, sweat or semen. When the first cases emerged in Guinea back in March, no one had ever confronted such a virulent and gruesome disease in this corner of Africa.

The current outbreak now has killed more than 1,000 people, according to the latest figures from the World Health Organization. The fatality rate in previous Ebola outbreaks has been up to 90 percent, though health officials say this time up to half of victims are surviving.

While there is no specific treatment for Ebola, patients can be given supportive care such as intravenous fluids to keep them hydrated. If they can live long enough to develop antibodies to the virus they can survive, though they could still contract other strains of Ebola in the future, medical experts say.

But some within his community are reluctant to have any physical contact with Kemokai. Those released from treatment centers are no longer contagious, though Ebola can still be present in men's semen for up to seven weeks.

Kemokai will have more family support than most: His older brother and sister also have survived Ebola, while the disease took their mother's life.

She tried to re-enroll with her medical school courses at Gamal Abdel Nasser University. In a sign of just how entrenched misconceptions are of Ebola, though, even the instructors did not want her in the classrooms, even though she handed them her certificate of health.

"I still haven't taken my exams while my classmates have moved on to the next level," she laments. "The professors said they were going to grade me by telephone."

Now she's living off what money her parents can scrape together to send her from their village, and still dreaming of when she can resume her courses.

"I want to take care of patients," she says. "The reason I am alive today and speaking to you now is because doctors saved me."

All these 5 points must be put into perfect consideration when building a child mentally. Am happy I later changed as my mum played a serious role with those point listed above. Now am a graduate working with one of the best organisation in Nigeria am proud of my self and all thanks to God and my mum. So no child is dull when it comes to academics for the child in question he will later change just put all listed in consideration and pray for him.

my husband helps me cook sometimes, like yesterday evening, I prepared all the ingredients down and texted him asking if he would want to cook the okra soup, he prepares his in a special way and I still haven't gotten it, he replied affirmative and came home.

I would never approach him in front of a friend to ask him to cook because the friend might read funny meanings into it and I don't just assume he'll do it, I ask because I know he might be busy or not in the mood.

Is very funny yesterday when i make visit to a family.Though i went to the husband's office and from there he said we are going to his new house he just moved to.Getting home we met the wife and jokingly they said they will give me a good meal and i said i will prefer pounded yam since am just coming into their new apartment not knowing i don cause kasala . After the wife finished putting the yam on fire and the yam is done she called her husband for the pounding the hushand responded with eheeennnnn wetin? i should come and pound what? is like you are sick, is it because i sometime help you in pounding yam?.the woman responded with " how will tell me that is it my duty as a woman to be pounding it after i put it on fire? where do you want me to see the power? is that how uncle seun use to do to his wife?'. for my mind i know i don cause wahala so i said they should not worry i will do the pounding since i get power. lol.

Worried by the socio-economic challenges facing the country, especially the nation’s state of insecurity, witches and wizards in the country recently held an emergency meeting at Afuze, Edo State

Making this revelation in an exclusive interview with Saturday Sun in Lagos on Wednesday, leader and spokesman, Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria, (WITZAN), Dr. Okhue Iboi said the emergency meeting held by his members was not only aimed at discussing the various challenges confronting the nation but also to chart a way forward.

“Witches and Wizards in Nigeria are deeply worried by what is going on in the country especially Boko Haram insurgency.  As stakeholders in the Nigerian project, we can no longer afford to fold our hands while  the nation burns.  Enough is enough”, he declared.

While saying that the Boko Haram issue was one of the key issues discussed at their meeting, Iboi said it was witches and wizards from Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states that urged the association to convene the emergency meeting.

According to him: “Our bi-annual meeting was actually supposed to come up in first week of October, but our fellow brothers and sisters from these three North eastern states made passionate appeal to our general assembly imploring us to discuss Boko Haram matter.   Witches and wizards in Adamawa. Borno and Yobe states want us to intervene, to help cage Shekau and his blood-thirsty lieutenants”

Speaking on the outcome of their deliberations, the 55-year-old wizard said the days of Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram leader were numbered.

According to him, Shekau will be captured before the end of December, and paraded on the streets of Abuja and Maiduguri for the whole world to see.

“We witches and wizards in Nigeria have sealed the fate of Shekau. His days are numbered.  He will be captured before the end of December, and contrary to the image and impression he has been  creating that he is a warrior, after his capture, he will start singing like a canary bird.”

Not done yet, Iboi, further said that Shekau, upon his arrest, will mention some powerful people who are his sponsors.

“An ordinary eye can’t see what we are seeing in the coven world.  Witches and wizards have put Shekau on our radar.  There is no peace for him again until the day of his arrest,” he said.

Urging Nigerians to remain steadfast and not to panic, the witches spokesman added that the parents of the missing Chibok girls will soon have cause to smile. “Those girls are coming back home.  They will be rescued, but it is sad that I have to say here that not all of them are coming back. They are not  being held in the same place, some are in Niger, and some are in Cameroon while others are in Chad and Nigeria” , he added.

Iboi, who said Nigerians should not doubt the witches’ declaration or revelations on the state of affairs in Nigeria, said: “This is not the first time we will be coming out to speak about the nation. Five years ago, this was in 2010, when Nigerians were preparing for 2011 general elections, especially the presidential poll, we came out to warn General Ibrahim Babangida and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar not to contest against President Goodluck Jonathan, that Jonathan will floor them. What happened after these two eminent Nigerians disobeyed us, they lost in a disgraceful manner to Jonathan. Our warning to IBB and Atiku came out in one or two national dailies.”

Continuing, he said: “In November last year, during one of our meetings, it was revealed to us that former CBN governor Lamido Sanusi would be unceremoniously removed from office, many people then labelled us fakes but what happened thereafter? Sanusi was ignominiously removed from office without completing his tenure.

“That time we also said that some PDP top notchers that decamped to APC would come back to PDP, did this not also come to pass?  Witches don’t speak  from both sides of the mouth, and what is not revealed to us in our meetings, we will never say it was revealed to us.  We seldom speak out on national issues, we only speak when it is necessary to do so, and we do so out of patriotism”.

On other national issues which they discussed, Iboi said the newly installed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido should not rejoice yet.

According to him: “What  we see before Sanusi is myriad of woes. His road will be rough.  Turbulent days lie ahead of him, he should not rejoice yet.  He will experience trouble within and outside the emirate.  His enemies are many, and to make matters worse for him, he had stepped on powerful toes.  He needs all the prayers in this world to survive the turmoil looming before him.”

On the nation’s political landscape, Iboi said Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole was standing on a shaky ground. “ It appear as if Oshiomhole is a master political strategist but the crisis currently happening in Edo State will snowball into a bigger crisis that may see Oshiomhole being swept away from office. You can call it a political tornado or Tsunami.  Comrade governor should be vigilant,” he said.

For APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the witches said: “Tinubu will be betrayed. He will be sold out by those he trusted.  This betrayal will affect his political empire.  Tinubu’s political dynasty is under threat of crumbling.  Tinubu is a good man, but the bitter truth he must swallow today is that APC is going nowhere. Many top notchers of PDP that are in APC now will go back to PDP. Witches said so in November last year and it happened.  I’m telling the whole world again today that many former PDP leaders that are now in APC will betray Tinubu and other APC leaders, they will go back to PDP this year, and before 2015 general elections.”

On the anxiety over 2015, Iboi urged Nigerians to remain calm. “Nigerians should rejoice. This nation will not break up.  Witches and wizards carried out some intercessory spiritual work in Arusa, Tanzania, and New Delhi,  in India over this issue, and luckily our brethren, that is fellow witches there, joined hands with us, and it was resolved that Nigeria should not break up.  Forget about any American prediction, Nigeria will not break up. There may be pockets of crisis here and there, but they will be election related violence.”

On 2015 general elections, the witches said President Goodluck Jonathan will win. “Jonathan will win re-election.  Although there will be pockets of violence, Jonathan will win.  I will also have to appeal to Buhari and Tinubu, they should not waste their money, time and energy on the poll. They should go home and rest.  They should forget about becoming President or Vice President of Nigeria. APC will still lose more governors to PDP before this year runs out”.

Asked why other witches and wizards don’t come out or hold their meeting in the open, Iboi laughed, cleared his throat before blunting out. “You speak like a small pikin. Witches are like spirits. We are invisible.  It is only those that operate in the spiritual realm that can see us either when we are meeting or going for assignment.  I was born a witch.  I inherited witchcraft from my mother when I was in her womb, from the age of 7 I started seeing unborn babies in their mothers’ womb, and I could predict with precision of sex of an unborn child whether it is a boy or girl. When I was born, I was born with a leaf in my hand, and starting from the age of 5, I started healing people like a grown-up herbalist.”

On the issues of witches being blood- thirsty, and suckling blood, Iboi said: “Those are bad witches, in our own association; we are white witches, and white wizards. We are here to save people. We don’t  kill, we counter bad witches and neutralize them whenever they are on their evil mission.”

While saying that another meeting of witches and wizards is slated for Damaturu the capital of Yobe State in October, Iboi said the meeting will review the outcome of the one held at Afuze, so as to enable witches to know what action and steps to be taken next.

“To add to that, we are also converging on Damaturu as a sign of solidarity with our members, and also people and government of Yobe  State that  we are with them in the hour of crisis.  The Boko Haram insurgency has become an open sore, and we are also joining efforts with government and other stakeholders to contain Shekau and his fellow blood-thirsty followers.”

Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate has reportedly been tied with funding the Islamic terror sect, Boko Haram.

The role allegedly played by Senator Ndume in the death of Major Timothy Fambiya, who led the operation that led to the death of the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, has also been brought to light.

Ndume is currently standing trial at an Abuja High Court over links with the infamous terrorist sect. He is accused of providing phone numbers of some government officials to the members of the Islamic sect.

The Nigerian Airforce in Borno State recently bombed Senator Ndume’s convoy of vehicles on his way to his village on suspicion that he was attending a meeting with the insurgents.

Acording to reports from PointBlankNews, the senator was angered by the deployment of Major Timothy Fambiya, an indigene of Gwoza in Gwoza Local Government Council of Borno State to eradicate the sect members and halt their activities in the area. The area falls within Senator Ndume’s Senatorial District and is predominantly Christian.

Ndume, who happens to be a Muslim, could not come to terms with a Christian soldier routing a sect he sympathizes with. He believes a Christian soldier sent to lead the Government forces against the sect is war against Muslims.

There are many accounts of the circumstances surrounding Shekau’s death, but he is believed to have been killed in Gwoza Hills by a contingent of Special Forces led by Major A.T. Fambiya. Fambiya is reckoned to be one of the best Special Forces officers in the Nigerian military, who grew up in Gwoza and understood the rocky terrain.

Further investigations revealed that it was Major Fambiya that delivered the fatal shot that sent Shakau reeling in Gwoza Hills during a fierce battle but the Boko Haram leader did not die immediately. He was severally moved to Mali and later Cameroon where he gave up the ghost. His aides, who sought to create the impression that he was still alive to sect members, hurriedly buried him.

Following Shekau’s death, an infuriated Senator Ndume had allegedly contracted the second in command to Major Fambiya, Captain Ibrahim Jamare, to eliminate him. Captain Jamare, who had briefed the Senator on the circumstances surrounding Shakau’s shooting , was allegedly paid N60 million by the Senator to eliminate the major.

While on a return mission to Gwoza Hills still in search of Shekau, Captain Jamare had shot Major Fambiya at the back of the head while he was observing something with binoculars.

The military had in a brief ceremony at the Nigerian Military Cemetary in Abuja declared that Major Fambiya was one of the best special forces officer in Nigeria. “He was killed in action on June 26, 2013 in a fierce encounter with Boko Haram terrorists”.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today arraigned the Taraba State Accountant – General, Joel Joseph Lenbang, before Justice Donatus Nwabueze Okorowo of the Federal High Court Jalingo for defrauding Taraba State Government to the tune of  N1.56 billion. He was docked on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretense, offenses contrary to and punishable under the Advanced Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.

When the charges were read to him, the accused person pleaded not guilty.
The malfeasance came to light following a petition received from a concerned Taraba State indigene, sometime in February 2014, alleging massive looting of Taraba state funds. The petition triggered investigation of the lifestyle of some of the officers mentioned in the petition and who were believed to be living above their means.

The investigation uncovered systematic withdrawal of state funds through a scheme mastermind by the accountant - general of the State, Joel Lengbang. Withdrawals were allegedly made under the guise that such monies were used for sundry payments on behalf of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), as well as payment of Bank Commissions on Turn over (COT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) which became a monthly affair. A total sum of N1,567,226,557.081 (one billion, five hundred and sixty seven million, two hundred and twenty six thousand, five hundred and fifty seven naira, eighty one kobo) was discovered to have been looted from the state treasury between January 2012 and December 2013.

In view of the plea of the accused, prosecuting counsel, Al Qasim Ja’afar applied for a date to commence trial. Counsel to accused, Abayomi Akamode, however, informed the court that he had filed a motion for bail this morning and urged the court hear it. But Al Qasim told the court that he was just served the motion on notice in court and would need time to peruse and respond appropriately.

Justice Okorowo adjourned the case till July 11, 2014 for hearing of the bail application and remanded the accused in prison custody.
