RichyBlacK: I hereby submit that the peacetime massacres (large-scale coordinated pogrom of Igbos outside Igbo land) and the wartime atrocities (flouting every conceivable rules of war) of the Nigerian side made it very difficult for Ojukwu to surrender. Hmmm. . . . |

Literature › Re: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by doyin13(m): 4:20am On Feb 19, 2010 |
Tatase: @ doyin 13, Not really. At least not right now. In the past, I have, but I've been burned by quite a few depressing and pessimistic stories so I'm kind of off the African lit for now. I'll probably go back at some point though. . . Oh well. . .lemme recommend two books far removed from pessimism as you can get. Wole Soyinka's Ake and Andrea Levy's Small Island/ You will literally Roll on the floor by the time you are done. |

Tatase: Lol!! Leave me jare. . . I'm currently in a "reading 'orgie' " phase right now where I can't stop. It's kind of out of control I know. Reading is giving me insomnia. Impressive all thesame. . . Do you read much African literature? |

Tatase: I I don't think abstinence is easy (for guys and girls); in fact, I know it's hard, and I know for guys the peer pressure to have lots of notches in the bed post is more than it is for girls, so that's why for a guy to abstain till marriage, it speaks of a strong character and a lot of self-control. Both of which, I think are admirable. Kai. . .All these praise addressed to me. My head will explode o Ori mi wu o. . . E lagimo Men, I am about to start my own movement. I shall call it VIRGIN-CHIC. putting the abs in abstinence. hehehehehehe |

H2O2: Lol don't take umbrage at my inclusion and usage of those words. They are byproducts of useless, expensive standardized tests. Just inculcating for purposes of GRE preparations. Dear, through mere observation. But of course I don't expect you to believe that tarradiddle.
Umbrage ke. . . Far from it. I think your penchant for bombast though is a symptom of the peripatetic state the Nigerian phenomenon has transformed our teeming youths into. (Me sef I try na) Now back to matters of a virginal nature |
