so long as you agree he needs a shrink. |
The Balotelli dude seems like a nutcase. He needs a shrink. |
American Productivity is not low oo. . . I find it difficult to imagine a situation where reasonable increases in demand would outstrip supply even for a medium term cycle. Possibly short term but definitely not long term. It is for this reason I am surprised there is so much opposition to Bernanke's stimulus on grounds it could lead to inflation. Even during the recent years of excess liquidity, inflation only rose because of commodity prices, and that was because of China's appetite for everything with a chemical symbol. So Bernanke. . .PRINT PRINT PRINT ![]() |
his beloved bears gave him a perfect send off. . . . They beat the favoured Eagles and Vick. And Cutler threw no interceptions. Mehn. . .talk about clutching at straws. Such a great great kid. |
Like an earlier poster said, the kind of tribal bashing being aired here is antithetical to the liberal spirit he was. Lets just celebrate the great kid. . . .Emphasis on great. |
Mehnnnnnnnn. . . .My worst fears are almost certainly confirmed. Some things just don't fit. This one is one of them. Don't sound right. Guy man. . .rest in peace oo. Whatever will Cutler and Rose do now. |
Mehn. . .It really really stings. Too smart. Too unassuming. Too cool. And I never even met him. RIP Dude. Rose and Cutler will be poorer without your support. |
Mehn. . . .I saw something on a newspaper recently. I fear the worst. I hope I am so wrong. I really really hope I am wrong. |
I think KLAS has raised some pertinent issues. I am very alarmed that Aganga would point to the payment of salaries as a sign of some kind of success when our biggest problems lie in the capital side of things. And he should desist from defending the government by all means available and level up with the country. Things are not working. |
I find it hard to believe this story. . .Maybe the Brazillians are trying to ingratiate themselves with us for some other reason. Or else why this weird arrangement. Their film industry is hardly struggling and they have had many successful exports, film and personnel. Most recently Fernando Mireilles who directed ''The Constant Garderner''. In fact they have been exporting talent as far back as Carmen Miranda in the 1930's. I suspect the journo misunderstood what was said. Its quite Nollywood actually. ![]() |
Its not new, these politicians promising Earth to Mars in six months. What I am concerned about are the journalists who don't seem to be able to question them at source when they make these outrageous claims. |
I guess if you want to show something to university kids, you will want to avoid the usual Nollwood romantic fare. Overlong, overwrought and over the top. Thunderbolt is a good movie. Its cultural with good production quality. |
No one screwed anyone. . . Alonso played it cautious. He thought he could do it by being cautious and tracking his closest challenger. He let Button pass him at the start and came in when he prolly shouldn't have in order to cover Webber. But to come and start having a go at Petrov. That's just low. He is old formula 1. Expecting everyone to bow to his own ambitions. Did you see Petrov threaten to bash him when he was yapping his mouth off ![]() |
Alonso is a disgrace. . . .he is having a go at Petrov. ![]() Imagine that. . . the guy is absolutely abominable. |
Vettel is sobbing, . .So cute. |
Its Vettel's race to lose now. Webber is the biggest disappointment. He came up well short in the crunch, Alonso not winning is priceless ![]() |
Like someone said earlier: The question is what we have done with the debt we accumulated. The Answer is : NOTHING. ZILCH. NADA. This is almost a repeat of the late seventies and early eighties when our debt profile ballooned and after all was said and done, we had only a bloated government to show for it. Thank God much of the debt is in Naira sha. |
The law is irrational. Obviously any defence worth its name would claim the presence of the police in the photo was inadvertent. And they also have to prove the photos are intended for ill. What I don't understand is this quick recourse to, ''Britain does it'' or ''America does it'' so we should do it . We have a particular problem with corruption in this country and the police as an organisation is implicated more than any other in this regard. Should our laws not be used to solve our own problems rather than ape the practices done elsewhere, for vanity's sake? |
A front to siphon funds they called Candy Floss Ltd. ( If it wasn't so tragic, I might have seen the humor in this). Paid this front over 300 million naira to organise a sham event. Paid for 190 million naira worth of Rolex wrist watches. Half of which have not been accounted for. The clincher. 1.9 billion naira for overseas trips in a single year. It makes for absolutely dreadful reading. On this evidence, one might as well be preparing for thesame nightmarish report that would inevitably come out of the new Asset Management Company in a few years time. |
If Weber takes out Alonso tomorrow, I will become a honorary Aussie. Anybody but Alonso. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Dora Akinyuli is an Igbo hater. She is trying to pull an Igbo hero down. Or perhaps she is a self hating Igbo. |
This rail line actually runs through the middle of certain roads. |
I think it just shows how sad so many of you are that at a time when the fate of 15 innocent kids was in the balance, the thing you are most concerned with is scoring tribal points. It really is pathetic and unfortunate that the misfortune of an erstwhile vibrant and important commercial centre is being celebrated. |
I would please like to be acquainted with anyone who is intimately knowledgable about the Lagos state government and its inner workings. Especially the Office of the Governor: The principal officers. Location of the office, etcetera. This would greatly aid some research I am currently undertaking. |
I hope Vettel is at his destructive best tomorrow and takes out alonso. I just hope Hamilton calms his natural aggressiveness and just makes sure he finishes. The track is treacherous. |
lol. . just as i had my last post, Hammy turns it up. Alonso just seems to have all the stars aligned at the moment for him. I reckon Vettel will still take it |
More likely Button than Hammy in my opinion. It seems Button has gone up a notch or two and their side of the garage is tuning the car better now. |
So I see there are people who rate Wahlberg as highly as I do. His choice of films at times leave a lot to be desired, but even then he is still often the best thing in the film. The boy is good as an actor jare. |
all this lie lie people. . . it is either they don't like food or they are on steroids. shior how person body go be like that? |
vescucci:wow. . . what a world changing philosophical discovery ![]() |
. . .just saw LA Confidential like for the twentieth time. That film just gets better and better. Right up there amongst the best I ever seen. |
I am not one for cutting and pasting but I will try to address each of the issues you raised. There was no contradiction regarding civil service pay. I never argued anywhere that their pay was too low. I argued that any increase would do nothing to help their plight. If anything prices will probably rise to negate the effects of any salary increase. What would reduce prices and actually help is a reduction in transport costs for food and other essential items. On the issue of raising levies. My argument is cars should essentially be taxed off the road. Tax until people don't feel it is viable to have cars on the road anymore. This should in any ''rational'' environment occasion an expansion of the public transport system either through the taxes raised or the huge demand for transport if people do dump their cars. Lagos has the option of having fewer cars or simply more roads. If ''budgetary limitation'' militates the latter then surely we should resort to the former. Patronage of one midsize bus is equivalent to probably having two dozen or so cars off the roads. I acknowledged the governor has tried, but it is clearly not enough. Trying simply isn't good enough. It is a testament to the very low standards Nigerians are used to, that they deify a man who still rules a state where you spend half the year in traffic. Spreading the pie too thin will not make any remarkable change. There has to be priorities that would impact and help other sectors, and relieving the pressures on the roads would markedly improve the quality of life of the average lagosian. |
