This is how it got activated on my account;

An upwork client hired me for his startup, the first month was paid via upwork and the next month, I was added to his company payment via payoneer.
Then payoneer emailed me to verify what I do and other things like that.

That's probably because they don't know. I think the increase is relatively recent and not the same for everyone. Just contact support for clarification.

NB: I have recieved $158 from Upwork (global market thingy) and $240 from a client directly to payoneer. Yet, I am still having issue using the payoneer to payoneer link.

I don't want to use direct bank withdrawal for $240, the exchange rate is too low.

When I opened my account I had to receive $200+ from fiverr before I could transfer to other Payoneer account. I don't know if that has changed. If you have your Payoneer card you can buy USDT/BUSD/USDC from binance and sell/exchange via their P2P platform. Just make sure you pay in dollars and not naira (I hope you understand what that means)

How were you able to receive directly to your Payoneer account. I still don't have that option

Nope. Binance stands in as escrow, He doesn't have to send first, and only has to release the funds when he has confirmed he received his money.

If you have your card you could buy a stable coin from binance and withdraw via P2P. The rates are better.

As you may have seen on the news, Wirecard AG filed for insolvency on Thursday. Your Payoneer Prepaid Mastercard® Card is issued by its subsidiary, Wirecard Card Solutions Limited (WCSL) in the UK. Today, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) which regulates WCSL, issued requirements on WCSL, freezing all prepaid card activity for the time being. We believe that cardholder funds are properly safeguarded and that the freeze will be temporary.

What does this mean?
The FCA has communicated that they have taken these measures with the primary objective of protecting the interests and money of Wirecard customers. Pending further actions from the FCA, you will temporarily be unable to withdraw the funds on your card, nor receive new payments onto your card.

Any funds that are in excess of the maximum balance of your card are held by Payoneer and are therefore not impacted by the FCA’s temporary freeze.

How can I get paid during this time?
Any future payments that you receive from marketplaces, platforms and clients will not be affected by the freeze. You can sign in to view your funds, and you can now add your bank account for withdrawal of your future incoming payments.

The bank matters. First bank gives #361 to $1.

I am referring to withdrawing in Naira from your Payoneer account. The money is paid to you in Naira by Calibre Consulting, they are the ones responsible for the conversion not the bank.

I opened a new transfer account and selected Naira. When it arrived on my account next day, it went into savings at N366/$. (Though on payoneer it was written it would be at N359/$)

There is an option to choose to either receive your money in dollar or Naira. You select an option when adding your account. I think you chose dollars that is why you had to do all that to get your money.

I think you have to select Naira as the currency you withdraw in when setting up a withdrawal account on Payoneer, that makes things a lot easier.

GTB exchange rate as at last week is $362

Payoneer charges 2% per withdrawal, takes less than 24 hours to get to Dom account

You then proceed to the bank and write a letter of authorization for the forex sales. Takes about a day. Sometimes, GTB might hold on to the money. Once you complain to their online help desk, you get your money. After doing this once, it shouldn't happen again.

You have to show a transaction proof of the Payoneer funds if you want to make forex sales from Dom to Savings/Current. You can get this on the transaction details page. That small 'note' icon, click it and you will see a download link below. Download the pdf to phone and take to bank.

Pays a lot more than using Payoneer exchangers that want to but at 340/$

E.g a $100 tranasction using exchangers is N34,000 (final rate 340/$)
Using GTB, you receive $98 in dom which converted gives N35,476 (final rate 354.36/$)

Why go through this process when you can withdraw in Naira to your Naira account? The rate is about 355/$, using the same Payoneer.
