Sunnystooth: Hello, how are you sure that they need just twenty people... Can you throw more light on that please? . Even if they need only FIVE people, it is still worth it to try. So far the process will be free and fair, I would have even registered for one slot vacancy. The people that will be employed do they have double heads? Abuonzone: mine is still under review. please has anyone from Electrical/Electronics Engineering been contacted. It seems that they are doing it one category/department after another. I chatted up a friend who applied for mechanical engineer position and he told me they haven't contacted him. So you have every reason to be hopeful and on the lookout also. Hope this helps? |

Some of these critics actually had a good deal of confidence in both the information and the informants. But after the deadlines have been shifted too often, they start to rethink their position. They start to feel may be people are taking advantage of the situation to post whatever date they like, thereby blurring the line separating information from a trusted authority and a mere WISH. Others (myself included) have analysed the situation and come to the conclusion that though some informants may have been quoting trusted SOURCES, and others not, but the bottom line is that none seems to be working in any which way at the moment. Among these groups, some may wish to keep their thoughts to themselves, while others will voice theirs out. And most of these criticisms were more of complaints out of frustration that the information is not functional than that the informants were not well informed or are peddling lies. My humble opinion is that we allow them to express their discontent as it is part of the discussion. Only, they should do that with politeness. Hope you understand where I'm driving at? |

You quoted a Theodore Roosevelt's school of thought which is one among millions or even billions of schools of thought that there are. That Roosevelt made a statement doesn't mean I must agree with it. If truly critics do not count, why is it that great authors would submit their works for criticism? What is the work of supervisors, if not to criticise (appraise) the work of the subordinate for better output? When we criticise and disagree on an issue, we eventually reach a new and better consensus, thereby moving the standard up a notch and every party will be better for it. Firstly, anybody who is sourcing for info regarding this recruitment is doing so to satiate his/her curiosity first, and to share the info comes secondary. Also, those who sit at home criticizing is definitely doing a great job, because they want the best. Even by mere saying that they criticize, in itself, negates the notion that they don't do anything. That someone shares info here or not can never affect the outcome of the recruitment process. So can we just stop the info/update mantra of a thing. And by you using the word 'despicable' shows your shallow mindedness and aversion to alternative arguments, which has no place in a civil discourse setting. |

I have been following this thread anonymously for some time now.
I would say that I have not really been impressed by our overtly emotional reactions in this thread. Why is it that people would not be allowed to disagree with some opinion or information in a polite manner? I believe users of this platform are mature minds which can analyse and accept information they deem accurate and disagree or reject the others. Why is it only people who accept information are tolerated and people who disagree are condemned? If every opinion here are accepted, then where is the dialogue? Where is the spice of the discussion?
Even a much bigger question is: what singular information since the interview has turn out to be true, or rather has come to fruition? People may have sources or not for all I know, but the bottom line is that their information have not been realistic, hence the skepticism.
Again, this is an open forum where people come and go. NOBODY is too important that his/her exit or otherwise of the thread will disrupt the balance in this thread. For those who choose to go, farewell and we may eventually meet in the future. For many others who choose to remain, well done and may we keep the discussion going in a mature rational way.
Lastly, I appreciate the likes of Mankoko and Hammer for bringing refreshing humor to the thread and also Smartgrid, not so much for his updates, but his narrative prowess.
