I suppose the DPR should be the ones sending the list to FCC. The FCC will then accept or reject the list for non compliance to the federal character statutory. If they accept it they will issue a COC to DPR to go ahead with the other processes of the recruitment. On the otherhand, if they reject it, the list is sent back to DPR for adjustment.

Please, which Chairman are you referring to? I'm a bit at a loss by this post.

I can confirm the list isnt with FCC. As the chairman has travelled for a funeral.

For the list to be sent to the FCC, does not require the physical presence of the Chairman. But you can say the list has not been deliberated upon as the Chairman travelled for a funeral. Although, he can assign any of his men to function in his capacity.

Thanks for creating an alternative thread.

But to be frank, I am less than impressed by this latest development. For someone like me who joined this blog because of the recruitment, it feels like a slap on the face that adults will be discussing, out of the blues someone shuts them up.

I know my existence in this platform, when considered exclusively, may not add much to it. But it takes an addition of 1 to an existing 1 to get 2, and another addition of 1 to get three, and so it goes.

The Admin in charge should be more advised, next time.

From what I learnt, the group discussion is nothing more than a platform to test your ability to interact in a group settings. You simply need to comport yourself and contribute meaningfully to the discussion.

I wish you all success in this next stage of the recruitment.

Go back and read through FIRS forum you will know what we are talking about, how many candidates get the job on merit. May God help us. We are all worried but let keep fate.

My brother, forget FIRS : they never showed any sign of sincerity nor fairness, right from the inception of their recruitment.

Comparing FIRS to DPR is like comparing a 1970 model beetles to a state-of-the-art 2018 model Rolls Royce.

There is no special info in these 11 points.
Anybody that doesn't know Nos 1-8 is just a loafer. These are known even before the test.
Nos 9 - 11 are not anyone's business.

For those dragging whether list is in FCC or not, note this: any time the list reaches FCC you would know and at least 15% of those here would be able to check if their names are there or not. It is usually not a secret.

Don't even pretend you know nos 1&2, unless you have direct contact of the people calling the shots in this recruitment.

Also, number 7 is almost impossible to ascertain, as it will mean comparing this recruitment to every other recruitment that ever has being in Nigeria or in the world.

Remember, rumors/feelings (or opinions) don't always translate to know-ledge (or certainty).

The stuff is complex. Honestly, I don’t know which takes more priority, scores or state quota.
But I think it’s a competition between you and people from your state.

Let's leave it with them, as I believe they should have a well-structured algorithm for the final selection.

No I don’t but what I heard is that State quota is another factor. Like when a fellow geologist scores more than you, you might still be picked by the virtue of yu being one of the highest scorer in yur state and the fellow who scored more than you could have people who scored more than him in his state.

What of a scenario where you are the highest in geology, but in your State many candidates scored higher than you, howbeit, in different disciplines.

My bro, you need not be restless. If you have done your level best and you are meant to get this job, then definitely it is yours. Otherwise, just look away from dpr and you will see an even bigger opportunity awaiting you.

Moreover, at this stage, who got the highest number of slots does not matter as much as who made the cut.

That is what makes his trolling so nauseating.

I understand the feeling 100%. But and if what you have stated about him is true, then I'm appealing we don't aid him achieve his objective. Shut him off. Don't react to his posts. Then he will use his tongue to count his teeth, as my people would say, to know what he is doing has lost its effect on the genuine hopefuls.

Because when you react to him, he has succeeded in dragging you down where he wants you to be and at the same time he will be emboldened to continue.

There is a saying that says "treat people the way you are, not the way they are". In other words, operate in the level you are, irrespective of the level every other person chooses to operate in.

I strongly believe we can do without all these insults and names-calling.

If somebody appears to be an unserious folk, then no need to take him or his word seriously. And if we must react, we should condemn the act not the person. Or better still, move on as if we didn't read his posts.

Moreover, it doesn't take a fool or stupid person to have come thus far in this kind of recruitment.

However, this is not in support of any uncalculated attempt at fun or whatever it may mean to the person, but that we should give everyone a chance to express himself in the level of understanding he/she operates in.
