Go back to school and go igbo!! Stop skipping igbo class!!

Now tell me what is Akara okwu and njiko okwu in igbo??
I must say you are quite impressive with your written Igbo language. That been said, the person you quoted is 100% correct. We Igbos say 'ikuzirim', and not 'ikwuzirim'.

You are good already, but there s still room for improvement.

While waiting for your final decision? Buy Dollars with the 2MN considering the oil slump. Do it sooner than later if you want to gain from the oil wahala.
I am not into investment at all, I just tried to be logical, I may be wrong.
It is actually the other way round.

Slump in oil price entails shortage of dollars in the Nigerian exchange market. And when there is decrease in supply against a constant demand, then price hikes. In other words, more naira Would be chasing the few dollars available.

Oga, you are the one to read that and comprehend.

When the MET police officer returned, she was interviewed to know her defence for her actions, and was subsequently cleared. Moreover, her actions was not done while on her uniform. Life when on uniform or when out of it are two different things.

What the NIS is doing is also interviewing their defaulting staff, albeit in writing. They are not sacked yet, okay. But they need to defend their actions. Simple.

Their actions if not checked, may set a bad precedence for the paramilitary outfit.

Biafra will definitely

This is, hands down, the most sensible and objective submission here.

ABCthings:
Why are you dividing by two? huh

@Op
I did all in a few seconds.
Too cheap.
I divided the remainder into two so as to have equal values. Subtracting equal values of a number gives zero, thereby leaving us with a difference of 1.
EducationRe: Take A Shot At The World’s Shortest IQ Test – But 80 Per Cent Will Fail by dprpikin:
Shibaraba:
Kindly explain why it should be divided by two.
The law that binds division also binds subtraction. To the minimal. As long as the end result is still greater than one. This bat can be from 1.01 to 1.05. An exact figure wasn't given.
The difference in there costs must be equal to one, that is what the question says.

If you put 1.01 for the bat, for instance, the cost of the ball becomes 0.09, then difference in there costs becomes:

1.01-- 0.09 = 0.92

And 0.92 is not equal to 1.

Hope you get it now?
EducationRe: Take A Shot At The World’s Shortest IQ Test – But 80 Per Cent Will Fail by dprpikin: 10:18am On Apr 19, 2020
Shibaraba:
1.10 bat and ball. Bat is 1:00 more. That means there must be a difference between the price of bat Nd ball. I chose. 09 because it gives a difference of 0.01

Even if 1000 machines are used it's still the same time

Patch doubles in size everyday that means at day 47 it was at half the lake, at day 48 it doubled to fill it. Shey you get
I think that your number one is wrong.
The bat is N1 more, hence subtract one naira from their total cost: 1.10 -- 1 = 0.10
Divide the remainder into two equal halves: 0.1/2 = 0.05

Fancy yourself as a bit of a brainbox? While these three questions might seem easy enough to confirm yourself as being a genius, the answers might make you think again.
THREE questions separate you from being of average intelligence and full-blown brainbox – but are they as easy as they seem?
The Cognitive Reflection Test has been hailed as the world’s shortest IQ test because it features just three questions.
These three questions are much harder than they seem
Each one is designed to assess your abilities to identify a simple problem that might actually be harder than it first appears.
Not only do boffins claim that getting the right answer is a sign of genius, but also the time frame in which you come up with your solution.
Take the world's shortest IQ test

1. A bat and a ball cost N1.10 in total. The bat costs N1.00 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

2. If it takes 5 machines 5 minutes to make 5 widgets, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

3. In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size.If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?

Now you’ve had a crack at the questions, the chances are you answered 10kobo for question 1, 100 minutes for question 2 and 24 days for question 3.
If you did, you are wrong.

Click the link below to see the correct answers to the test, and the workings behind each.

https://clacified.com/en/education/news/short-and-sweet-take-a-shot-at-the-worlds-shortest
1) N0.05

2) 5 minutes

3) 32 days

Modified: 47 days should be the correct answer for number three.

My grandmother used to say that the cut from words does not heal unlike the one from blade that heals with time.

Only words bleed can also mean that only words transcend ages. Written works of Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Eliot, Chinua Achebe, Woke Soyinka and co come to mind. Those are bleeding words that keep bleeding forever. Same goes to good songs.
Exactly. It bleeds also in the positive sense as you stated.
EducationRe: Anyone Know The Meaning Of This Phrase? by dprpikin: 1:44am On Apr 19, 2020
In my own understanding, it means only words have the ability to continue to hurt (i.e make the heart of the recipient bleed) even after many years or centuries it was spoken.

In other words, only words can leave a metaphorical incurable wound (bleeding) that may outlive both the speaker and the addressee. While physical bleeding, at most, ends at death.

On the contrary, numerical approximation methods like newton-raphson will give you the two correct answers(with some help on how continuous monotonic functions work). In my case, I was trying the graphical method and I found the first derivative of the function f(x)=2^2x-8x and equated it to zero to get the value of x which is 1.264. Then I found f(1.264) which gave a negative value of -4.34. This gave me some other information-The function has two roots which lie on the left and right hand side of x=1.264. I also found the y intercept by f(0) which gave 1. I abandoned the more complicated graphical solution in favour of the easier numerical approximation since I have known the nature of the function. The newton-raphson's method gives the two roots i.e x=0.155 and x=2.
Ok. I'll try the graphical method with the little I know.

smeag0l:
You cant leave the answer as a function because that is actually not the answer. You have to evaluate it with a program like wolfram alpha. The Lambert W function usually has two solutions for all negative values greater than -1/e. The result is usually a product logarithm and if any of you had left the answer in the form a a product logarithm you would have gotten it. The last four lines of your solution were incorrect while mathslord's solution had the last two lines of his own solution as incorrect.
With what you wrote here, it means it cannot be evaluated ordinarily without the use of a computer program. In that case, graphical method remains the easiest way to solve it.

What the person you quoted was trying to relate is that whether a person is tested or not, if the virus overtakes the immune system of the person, the person dies.

In essence, we should have being seeing many dead bodies in the morgues across the country than usual, even if we don't know the cause of the deaths. You can hide disease, true, but not death.

EducationRe: Can Anyone Please Explain The Use Of "AN" And Not "A" In This Sentence. by dprpikin: 10:07pm On Apr 07, 2020
cingelai:
The use of 'an' in that sentence is correct. 'a' is used in words starting in consonant words/sounds, while 'an' is used with words starting with vowel words/sounds.
In this sentence, SMS is transcribed as
/es-em-es/. When pronouncing it, vowel is the first sound being pronounced.
Another example, honour /ɒnə/ we use 'an' when pronouncing honour. eg; It was an honour to be here.
Op, you can take this to the bank.

I've been thinking of that too.
If you remove that, you'll have to put in place a method to know who is online or who isn't. Because when one is discussing or debating with another, knowing the person is still online gives one the push to keep on with the chat.
PoliticsRe: We're Going To Crash Our Economy On A Virus That Has A 97% Survival Rate. by dprpikin: 1:41am On Apr 06, 2020
Everybody is focusing on only the severity of the said virus. Nobody is saying anything about the millions of lives that stands to be starved to death, if no proper provision is made for them.

Coronavirus is deadly, no doubt about that, but hunger is no less dangerous. Many families are already feeling the heat, let alone when the lockdown would be extended a few more weeks.

So when arguing in favour of the lockdown to contain the virus, never forget the most basic need of man for survival-- food-- which the lockdown has disrupted for many homes and the government seems not to be doing much about it.
