I recently read a CNN article that discussed at length the relentless need for Trump to be noticed or talked about. He doesn't care if he is insulted, hated, revered, all he needs is for him to constantly take up the greater portion of our thinking faculty. This way, he establishes a psychological connection with you which over time can blossom into a potent love-hate dynamic similar to Stockholm syndrome.

Additionally, his absurd actions are carefully curated to desensitize us, making his future but 'lesser' crimes almost acceptable. It is a calculated strategy-effective and dangerous.
