Politics / Reasons Why IPOB Are Fighting A Just Cause by draftmaster: 10:10pm On May 29, 2017 |
I keep hearing a lot of talks about Biafra. Biafra this, Biafra that. I started asking, who are the Biafrans? Who and who is willing to fight for the cause? What freaks me is that the IBOS are not even united as one to fight a just cause. An IMO state man thinks he's better than an ANAMBRA man. An ENUGU state man thinks an ABIA man is inferior. Just imagine this, IMO state would not accept an ANAMBRA man as the Bishop of MBAISE. There's is absolutely no bond of cohesion between the IBOS. So I start to wonder, a house divided amongst itself cannot stand. The IBOS should spend more time putting their house in order. Until this is done, Biafra will continue to remain a mirage and an avenue for peeps to come and play the hero. The first movement by Ojukwu was jeopardised by the same peeps he was fighting for. So what exactly are you guys fighting for? I really think you all should spend more time building Nigeria rather than trying to disintegrate it. God bless Nigeria and happy democracy day to you all ! |

Politics / The Gospel According To The Book Of APC Chapter 1 Verses 1 - 12 by draftmaster: 7:46pm On Nov 03, 2016 |
APC 1:1-12 Our Reading For Today Is Taken From The Book Of APC Chapter 1 Verse 1 To 12 .... 1. And it came to pass, when the Lord would punish Nigeria, that he gave them a president under whose hand they were mightily oppressed. . 2. Before he ascended the throne, he made them hope, with all manner of promises, that he would bring them to the promised land before the coming year began. . 3. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria grew restless with their good condition, and sorely vexed the president under whose hand they had prospered, so that he would not have the office of the president again, but rather resented it. . 4. In those days also the Boko haramites laid siege to the north, and slew of the people three and twenty thousand, intending to set up a kingdom which would be ruled by Islam. 5. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria remembered not the good deeds of Jonathan, but thrust him out of the throne, and made Buhari president in his stead. 6. Buhari was seventy and two years old when he began to reign. He reigned one and a half years in Nigeria, and the land became impoverished under him and the hausites, the igbolites and yorubites began murmuring against the President 7. But the President continued to persecute also a few of the people, accusing them and casting them into prison. Thus, the opposition was subdued, the people could not find bread and rice to eat and there was hunger in the land. 8. And the end became uncertain as there was wailing and gnashing of teeth and as soon as the president heard this he began to travel around d the world and in the middle of his reign he launched a campaign to say to the people "Change begins with you. 9. And in those days, there came a disagreement between the president and his household. And the woman of his 'old age (not youth)' chastised him in a proverb saying 'he who the gods want to remove from position he first makes deaf', as he no longer listens to her. 10. In response to her, while in a far away land with the Germans, he rebuked her and reminded her of her duties as a wife, saying "while he belongs to everybody and nobody, 'she belongs to the kitchen, the living room and the other room'". 11. And these sentences caused uproar and division in the land, which greatly caused division in the land among its inhabitants.. 12. Tell it not in Germany. Tell it not in the streets of Abuja, how art the mighty fallen? Knoweth thou not that Sai Buhari has goofed and it's now "to your tents oh Nigerians! 5 Likes |

Politics / Who Is The Most Active Minister At The Moment? by draftmaster: 7:35am On Apr 08, 2016 |
Good day my fellow niaralanders. I raised this question because apart from minister of state for petroleum, Kachiukwu ( if at all he is even working actively) I haven't heard of any minister who's active in his/her various portfolios including the minister of petroleum which we all know who he is. I might be wrong though, but I need those who thinks they are working to tell me who's currently working and what has the minister implemented. The is why it took the President a very long time to Name his ministers cos he knew from the onset that they won't do anything. Minister of labour and employment, James Ocholi (RIP) who is late hasn't been replaced yet. Does that mean his portfolio wasn't a sensitive one that needs immediate replacement? May God help us in this country. Meanwhile I need some answers. Thank you 12 Likes 1 Share

This touching letter was written by Ireland-based Nigerian, late Mrs. Omodolapo Yetunde Jagha(Nee Olotu) also known as Dolapo GoodGod who was buried in Ireland few weeks ago. I read it and felt it will be wrong of me not to share it with you guys I am grateful to God that I will rest in His bosom and I am more grateful because I have always wanted this opportunity to speak my mind even unto death. I guess you are surprised that even the dead can air an opinion; in my case I really wanted to because I knew that God was preparing a place for me and that is where I will be. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10156471866705603&id=656720602

Crime / Female Driver Crushes Eight To Death In Lagos by draftmaster: 4:24am On Feb 02, 2016 |
Tragedy struck on Ilaje Road, in the Bariga area of Lagos State, after a female motorist in a LandCruiser Sport Utility Vehicle crushed eight pedestrians to death. Our correspondents gathered that among the dead were a pregnant woman, two siblings, an old woman and a man returning from his place of work. Several others were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries, including fractures and broken limbs in the Saturday incident which happened around 9pm. Our correspondents gathered that the driver of the yet-to-be-identified woman had left the vehicle for her near Majok Filling Station on Ilaje Road and had left for his house. The woman, said to be staying on Adebisi Street, had barely taken the wheels to drive the SUV home when the incident occurred. The vehicle reportedly surged forward, crushing pedestrians and killing four of them on the spot. A set of nine injured people were reportedly taken to the Gbagada General Hospital, among whom two died; while another set of seven casualties were later recovered. It was learnt that two more corpses were found in the gutter on Sunday morning. Angry youths were said to have gone to the scene and dragged the woman out of the SUV and beaten her up. She was about to be lynched when some policemen from the Bariga Police Division intervened. Our correspondents learnt that the suspect was to celebrate her birthday on Sunday and was going home to make preparations for the event before the incident. When our correspondents visited the area on Monday, about 20 okada riders (motorcyclists) besieged the police station to demand the corpses of two of the people who were killed in the accident. A resident, identified as Iya Oyinbo, said the vehicle seemed to have had a brake failure. She said, “The woman was driven to the Majok Filling Station by her driver after which the man left for his house and the woman moved to the driver’s seat to drive the vehicle home. What we saw was that the SUV suddenly surged forward and hit a pedestrian at the filling station. “The vehicle also moved from there to hit some pedestrians by the roadside. It was three stationary faulty cars at the end of the Ilaje Road which eventually stopped the SUV. “Four persons were crushed and they died instantly, including a woman, who was pregnant, and was taken inside a Keke Napep. On Sunday, two other hospitalised victims died.” Another witness, Raheem Banji, said the corpses of two motorcyclists were found the following morning in the gutter where the SUV had flung them. He said, “There were two okada riders who fell inside a gutter on that day. It was on Sunday that we found them. After the accident, youths gathered and began to beat up the woman for being careless. The mob wanted to destroy the car, but for the arrival of the policemen who saved her.” A Keke Marwa driver, Laide Olakune, said he was lucky to have escaped, adding that his tricycle was badly damaged by the vehicle. Olakunle said he was taking four passengers to the Ebute area, when the tricycle was hit and they all fell into the gutter. “Although my tricycle was damaged, neither me nor any of my passengers sustained injuries. The police wanted to take away my tricycle as part of evidence, but I refused because I need to repair it and put it back on the road so I can make a living,” he said. A police source said the female driver, who was rescued with injuries, was recuperating in a private hospital in the area. He said, “The woman is wealthy, and she was to celebrate her birthday on Sunday. The mob stripped her to the underwear and beat her up. She is recuperating in a hospital; her husband has showed up at the police station. “There was no pregnant woman in the incident. The victim had Fibroid, and looked as if she was pregnant. The police will invite the driver after her treatment.” The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Mahmud Hassan, said he was not aware of the incident. He said, “The LASTMA officers on the ground said they did not see anything like that.” The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the matter was under investigation. She said, “I am aware of the tragic incident. Three people died on the spot, while four others were in critical condition as of Sunday. We are investigating the case.” http://www.punchng.com/female-driver-crushes-eight-to-death-in-lagos/ |
Romance / Why Does Ladies Act Mushy And Surprised When A Man Proposes To Them? by draftmaster: 12:13pm On Jan 31, 2016 |
To be honest I don't understand why women act surprised and mushy when a man proposes to them. I mean you have been dating and in all of those two years you guys didn't discuss marriage? If you did, why the overly histrionic displays when a man goes down on one knee to stain his trousers with Naija dust? I don't know how relationships go, see I am a Pope but I would think if I were ever going to get married, I would have discussed marriage a hundred times with my prospective wife. Type of marriage, prospective period of marriage, number of kids, kind of education for the kids, honeymoon location, choice of city to live in, number of palmwine glasses I'd get per day, who gets tv rights when it is Arsenal vs The Promise. I mean the whole gamut. So point is, if I am getting married to a girl she'd know a full year before the proposal. So why the surprise package? Abi she no believe me before ke? Why the occasional tears sef? Are you shocked that someone you dated for years is asking you to marry him? Anyways, before I started dating Chinenye, I asked her, will you marry me? And she replied with a sweet smile on her face, draftmaster, of course you know I'd marry you, you leave me no choice. See? Me I done skip proposal and engagement ring o. I have even done the math in PKE - Palmy Kegs Equivalent. 72 Likes 3 Shares |

What can I say? Well they are Nigerians so I will say it's a good signing. But let me just speak my mind....this is absolute nonsense. Wenger doesn't even know what he wants. He has no strikers yet he keep on buying mid fielders. Where's the abumeyang he said he wanted to buy from dortmund. Wenger I have nothing to say to u but a heavy disgrace to my club. I will simply advice u to resign cos u re no more adding value to this great club. |
