I have a Nokia N900 phone the firmware does not upgrade to the latest Maemo 5 each time I try to update it over wifi. and of late I mistakenly pulled the charging port out when I wanted to remove the phone from the charger in the middle of the night. Now it doesn't charge again and can be used with a USB cord. Many phone repairer have turned it down because the feel it is complex and they say the charging port is directly connected to the panel. So the phone has been unused for a while now.
I love the phone because of its unlimited functions. Any engineer in the house? that can repair it please drop your number and I will call you.

@arowolo, friend, u cant ping with your xpress music but u can do something with it that is better than pinging, Pinging is a propietary of blackberry. It enables bb devices to communicate like to chat, Buy they still pay, what ordinary ebuddy can do, So pal lets say so called pinging is 'chatting'. The generation of it is over, believe me. Pinging is a test carried out on computer networks, And theres notin special in that your so called pinging,all still relies on monthly subscription, then why dnt i use y! Mssgr or skype? I had inserted another sim card into d phone. It stayed switched on 4 a while, say 2 - 3hrs b4 the screen brighten up, showed "NOKIA" b4 it switched of by itself.

My Nokia N95 keep showing "insert sim" or it just switches off by itself without me knowing dat my phone has been off. When it happened d first, i thought nothing of it until it does d same thing over and over again even when i had repeated d process of removing d battery, re-adjusting d sim card and coupling it back together again. Pls does anyone have an idea of wot could be wrong?

Try a different sim in it, report back here, then we'd tell you whats next

Most of them are installed on the phone and i have some on the Memory card. I have once formatted my memory card when i couldnt play music on the phone. But even without the memory card in the phone, those applications are still not opening.

Gud day! I've dis nokia phone, supernova 7210 phone. I think it is virus infectd. At first i could see some of my mesages,When playin music via media player, d music somtimes scratches (unusual). It neva botherd me much until files were bein deleted! Even the phone's protectd themes,games n al my apps! I tot dat was a minor issue as i wil download more softwares. Bt i was doomed when i cant play music via media player, it says,"not enough memory" even radio too. Tried updating software, it says,"software updater not found". @dragnet,i back up my data and format the phone as u recommened,but the problem have not been solved.i still cant install jar files, and i culdnt restore the java apllications i backed up,pls i really need help.my n95 is becoming useless

check ur app mgr settings, confirm that software installation is set to all,
wuld've been able to make some definite checks, but due to distance, d next best thing I'd advice is an upgrade of the fw,

There are a lot of apps that support 'pinging' or IM these days, so if you are uninformed, then hold your quiet.
The best on all versions of Symbian is 2go which costs close to nothing to use. Then there's Social, FourSquare, Fring, Whatsapp, Nimbuzz, Skype, shmessenger etc etc. Visit Ovi Store and you will literally marvel. Check out the list for Symbian 3 and you'll rethink your position.oh, and if your partner isn't on RIM you can ping him all nightlong, right?
