ultravires: Hi ogas in the house, I keep getting the error message "We're sorry, something seems to have gone wrong. Please try again. This is at the point of opening a paypal account... What could be happening? It could happen at any point. It happened to me at the point of withdrawal. Try again later, preferably the next day on a fresh Internet explorer/Microsoft edge web browser. By fresh I mean that you clear all cookies, internet history and all then restart your PC and router. Try to use a new IP on your next try |

nwafresh: Is the UBA prepaid card same as Afri card? If yes, what am I supposed to go with to the bank so as to open one/get a card. How much will it cost me and how do I get to make the payment?..Will I link the card to my bank account in order to get my money or I'll have a UBA account for the card.. Help please. hausadreturn just took pain to break it down just a few posts before your question. Guys pls let's always try to read up before asking because it could be tiring for we that are offering help too typing the same thing all over again just a few minutes after. That's why we have the resources here and not on WhatsApp. Any intending transcriber can read from the first page and be guided through the whole process as most of the questions that may arise would have been answered in previous posts |

Itznekky: It's my debit card that am talking about, do you mean I should open another PayPal account, but honestly this is my first time of opening a PayPal account. That card has already been used either on this your present account or by someone else. Check your cards to see if it is already there if not use another card. Don't use that card on your new account |

Itznekky: pls someone should help I tried linking my card to my PayPal account but it keeps telling me that my card has been linked to another PayPal account Have you linked the card to another PayPal account? If yes, I wld advise that you also ditch this one because PP don't forget. Clear your browser history and all and register for a new one on a fresh internet connection. Don't go ahead with this account, a flag has already been raised |

Have you tried Transcribeme?
Alot of these other names are just too strict, sometimes i feel they are rejecting jobs on purpose. Transcribeme too has a cumbersome onboarding process. Will try them again if I see that their pay is better |

JustSomeDude: Why do I always get calls of 1 minute. At what time did you do the job? It's because of your rating on your last 10 jobs or because you just joined. If you have refreshed three times and can only see maximum of 2 audio minute jobs, then knock the above two out of the pack and na you go taya for long calls |

BabaIbo: Someone should answer this question, please...
I have been asking similar questions since but nobody has been providing help. It's unfair, all these people feeling like boss cos person dey ask for una help inform of guidance Calm down. We have discussed this earlier that Visa cards work best and prepaid cards are even better. I could not withdraw to my GTB MC and Access Visa when I tried. I had to get the Prepaid card. The exchange rates for settlements is another thing |

somehow: Who is on scribebay here? No job for 3 days now. Always uploading job, try again later eish That's the problem with other transcription companies that recruit globally - lack of jobs. QA still has the most jobs. Since I joined, I have never for once lacked a job and their rules are not as strict as others, well, at least the other one I tried. Scribie has rejected my work twice now and the folks speaking were even Ghanian so I could hear them well. When the corrections came in, I saw that they were wrong. It would have dented my self esteem had it not been that i've had nine 5's in my last ten jobs at QA. I'm still looking out for a better company as Rev dey do their own company like say na kingdom of heaven. What's Scribebay's payment like |

thorrvik55: @ drawnobet how helpful has downloading of the audio been?
From ur experience, is it worth it? It's been worth it. Especially for long audios with a lot of missing audio in between the timestamps. Using Esc does not produce as clean an audio as if you have the full clip |

sosowater: How can I do that please? I'm using chrome. Please tell me. I want to learn how to download it with chrome. Thanks To get/extract audio from sites that have some form of audio embedded such as on our transcription site, first open the job an click on next statement once then you do CTRL+SHIFT+I on Chrome on PC to open Inspect elements, then click on F5 to refresh page then go to Media under Network to see what is happening. You should see one two or more audio files there. Right click on the largest one and open in new tab, it will either open in new tab or start downloading. Once done open the audio file with VLC or some other strong audio software because the file will not be in a recognizable format for the baby audio software. For those of us that want to run the clips on Otter or some other AI software. Please, please and please, delete after its transcribed and do not share. Remember that you signed a confidentiality agreement and any leaks can be traced back to you. Interpol and SARS no be mate. |

samsard: What did the rating notes say, did you thoroughly read through the FAQ? it goes beyond typing out what you hear, it has to make sense to the reader and be readable. E.g Rep: I was gonna, uhmmm, I was gonna tell ya about, about the new product we launched. What they need: I was going to tell you about the new product we launched.
Punctuation: Hello, Philip. It's Emily calling from CLH Group. How're you doing today? Cust: I'm fine, thank you. And how are you?
Longer calls will be more complex in terms of punctuation but for a start A comma before and after a name in mid sentence. A comma before or after a name in salutation. You're also allowed MINOR corrections for making clear transcripts. Anyway, read through the FAQ and regularly Consult it while working at least till you acquaint yourself with it's detail Now this is gold guys. These are the major floors that lead to low rating solved by our in house Prof. samsard. P.S He might also be a QA agent , so lets abide by the rules...ehen Will add this to first post since we no fit pin for NL |
