Unknown to many, not all the Igbo aborigines of Ife followed Prince Chima, later Eze Chima out to their Anioma/Benin axis/ was sold into slavery to make up today’s Lucumi of the Americas/ assimilated into the culture of the Yorubas.

Some remain today in Ife, and are known as Iwinrin, Oluyare or Igare.

Kudos to the Yorubas who have encouraged peaceful coexistence with the Oluyare Igbos.

These Igbos live around Iwinrin, which has been described by Yoruba elders as Igbo town, and their chief is called Obawinrin.

They still play a very important role in Ife culture today, including in the famous Itapa Festival.

The Obawinrin is appointed by the Ooni of Ife.

Remember we have told you a lot about the Olukumis who followed Prince Chima, and we have also told you about the ones that were sold by their conquerors into slavery. We have told you that some of them remained and assimilated into the Yoruba race. These Oluyares are the ones that still maintain a presense in Ife till today.

AG really doesn't have a fixed salary structure for their pastors, you are paid according to the amount you can generate from your church. So if you pastor a church of 50people that pay N50 offering, don't expect a salary of more than N6k for that month. Funny but true.

It's a pity that Paul Emeka and Chidi Okoroafor have continued to drag the name of this great church into the Mud. Is this the AG Rev. Oyakhilomen and Rev. Ezeigbo fought hard to build. Op I think the issue you currently face is boils down to the current fracas facing the church and to be sincere with you, it looks like this will be a case of running around circles.

How can we make this trend all over social media...so that if it is true or not proper investigation will be made. More than a dozen of people have confirmed this story.

I read comments here and I weep for the future of Nigeria. A President goes against THE CONSTITUTION of the Federal Republic which he swore by oath to uphold, Falana points it out and we all want to crucify him. The President should follow due process to sack the man and not through Twitter. Btw, this same Falana called out the sacked IGP when he went against the constitution during the Tambauwal saga.

Money saved from corruption may not mean the sum that will be recovered from corrupt politicians alone but also money that will be realised by blocking numerous channels through which politicians syphon. On a serious note that interview was not it...No clear cut plan on how to handle the economic mess we currently find ourselves. I was thinking he was going to talk about diversifying the economy and reduce the dependence on oil instead he was talking about the money recovered from corruption.
