Ajax think say 18yr old and a declining midfield go save them this time
The players are not the problem, the coach Schreuder is. His bias towards playing Blind and Tadic is ruining the team, both are slow and toothless, and position themselves so badly as to create opportunities for the opposing team.

Iwobi's assist yesterday was so satisfying. What pleased me the most was the intelligence he showed in quickly running into the space behind the CP defence and beating offside. The back heel was sumptuous, a rare delight that only tantalizes our imagination as to what would have been if we had qualified for the WC.
Iwobi understands space better than anyone in the Premier League not named Kevin de Bruyne, a result of his long upbringing in the Gunners academy.

I owe Haaland a lot of apology.
I thought Dessers and Osi were better players or on the same level grin.

No one is close to dreaming of being on the level of Mbappe and Haaland. Those guys can potentially even beat Messi/Ronaldo records considering they are not even 24 yet and already on 200+ career goals.

So also, did Ivan, Tomori, Carvalho, Elliott, Watkins, Tega, Eze, Olise, Ssegnon, etc, etc come direct from the Championship.

The Championship must have astounding quality look at how many players have gone from the Championship to become too players in the top five League in Europe.

Anguissa from Fulham to Napoli, Jude Billingham from Birmingham to Borussia ( arguably best young midfielder in the world) Arnaut Danjuma from Bournemouth to Villa Real to name just a few.
Anguissa was EPL, he also played for Villareal on loan and did well.
Tomori was an EPL player. Elliott and Carvalho were astounding youth team players with whom it was only a matter of time, you will find those anywhere. All the players you have mentioned had some top level experience but were playing in the championship due to circumstance and/or choice.

I find this shocking: KDB shocked

A guy who has literally won PL Player of the Season (2x) and PFA Players' Player of the season (2x) has never been once crowned PL Player of the Month?? Shocked! It never even occurred to me until now.
Player of the month is usually for flash in the pan performances. Example Iheanacho, Lingard, etc.

KDB is the best because he is consistent, and when you are consistent people get used to world class performances as the default.

But that doesn't change the fact
that he is a very lucky player too

you will know what I mean by LUCK

Just what I feel
What you call luck is what football calls good movement and positioning.

Nopes.

Dessers is nowhere near Sadiq when it comes to ball-playing ability.

I know you love Dessers so much but let’s be objective. Even Osimhen is a better or at least equal ball-player to Dessers.
None of our strikers are better at ball-carrying than Sadiq.

Nacho is slightly better at passing and shooting with that sweet left foot.

That title goes to Dessers, who plays in the next 12 minute alongside Okereke.

And that's only because Iheanacho cannot be considered a striker.

American-Nigerian, 24 y/o Eduvie Ikoba bagged a Hattrick yesterday for Zalaegerszegi TE in the Hungarian NB.I Matchday 7.

Led his side to a 5-0 win over Mezőkövesd Zsóry away from home.

Has 4 goals in 4 league games (2 starts) in 22/23

His Teammate, Meshack Ubochioma, who scored vs Milan in preseason, played the first 45mins before being subbed out.
Good to see Eduvie doing well. Not many ivy leaguers go pro, especially in soccer, especially in Europe.

Onyeka is not “far worse“. His passing may be average, but his is our best midfield progressive carrier of the ball and playing with him is like playing with two men on the pitch.

Kante can barely thread a through pass, doesn’t mean he is not the best CM of all time.
Onyeka has just been unlucky with injuries at the wrong times e.g against Ghana when he was becoming a mainstay in the Brentford squad and also with going to AFCON when he was breaking into the first team consistently.

Onyeka is still ahead of Onyedika, Alhassan and co.

And I just put it out there... 3 at the back is a possibility I had to show as well because I already mentioned that I made so many analytical possibilities on formations and personnel based on the technical and tactical qualities of the players we have. I only just showed 4.

The Bella Kotchap boy in that SouthAmpton defense is such a quality young CB.
Bella Kotchap is the next Van Dijk. Excellent player both technically and physically. Once he adds attacking product to his game, he can be unbeatable.

Southampton made gambles this season on youth players and unproven first teamers. It is looking increasingly likely that their gamble will pay off.

Awoniyi, Dennis on the bench
Nottingham Forrest's bench is better than their first eleven. How do you have proven EPL stalwarts like Kouyate and Dennis and a proven UCL captain and semi-finalist like Freuler on your bench? Awoniyi is also one of the most promising young strikers currently. Until you are losing 2-0 to Spurs at halftime before you're struggling to make those subs.

Tolu Arokodare is our closest reach to Zlatan.
Zlatan is in the head, not the body.

Sadiq is our closest to Zlatan. If he had Awoniyi's physical frame and stamina he would be a beast. Right now he is really hit and miss because of how he is lacking physically. He is like spaghetti at the moment, too flabby and easy to push around.

Joe Aribo FT Stats for Southampton vs Man Utd.

Southampton 0-1 Manchester Utd - EPL Matchday 4.

Played 89mins.
34 touches.
1 chance created.
1 shot on target (That header saved by De Gea).
17/20 accurate passes.
85% passing accuracy.
1/2 successful dribbles.
3/6 ground duels won.
3/6 aerial duels won.
5 recoveries.
1 tackle.
1 foul committed.
Was fouled once.

*Nutmegged Casemiro too (and then lost balance) to crown his fairly decent efforts... grin
He was poor. So sluggish. Wasted opportunities to move the ball quicker and create chances. Also lazy to track back and provide bodies forward in counter attacks.

He will need time to adapt to the pace and physicality of the EPL.

Ekitike is on loan at PSG..he isn't a permanent signing..And Mbappe can be deployed on the flank to accommodate Osimhen...
Bayern don't spend much on one player, but the splashed up to 80m on a De Ligt a defender..They are using Mane as a centre forward this season...
What about Chelsea? I don't think Aubameyang will be enough...also, Benzema needs a successor at Madrid..

In short, PSG, Chelsea,Bayern and Madrid are the big clubs that can table an offer for Osimhen next season..Man Utd can join the queue..

There's also Newcastle if they can secure European football this season to show that they are on the path to be another Man City
An essay of ifs.

BTW, Newcastle just signed Isak.

Ekitike's loan has a mandatory buy option, so he can be considered a PSG player. It is just formalities.

Tammy will go to Chelsea once the jungle matures, it is set in stone. Chelsea won't buy two strikers for 100m each in 3 years, Tammy might be an exception just because he is one of theirs.

You, I, and everyone reading this knows Madrid is never going for Osimhen. A club that is waiting for Benzema to retire so they bring in Haaland and Mbappe both. Please be objective.

This leaves only Bayern, really. So Victor's choices are Man Utd now or Bayern in a year, assuming Bayern is willing to play ball and doesn't just go buy a BuLi striker like Kaladzic or the likes.

Your last statement clearly put beds to the discussion... The timing isn't right! Let Man Utd find their stability..
Timing not in stability. Timing as in spontaneity.

If the move were to work, it should have been well thought out over months. Man Utd is in the middle of a 90m Antony move. The spontaneity of the situation and the proximity to the close of the transfer window means that both clubs will have to make very difficult compromises to come to an agreement.

So in your mind, Osimhen doesn't have what it takes to perform better this season and attract even better offers next summer?
Better offers from who?

Everyone screaming better offers, what clubs will fork out 100m for Victor next year? Is it PSG with Ekitike, Mbappe and co, or Liverpool with Darwin?

Only Bayern needs a big money striker, and Bayern is not known for spending 100m on one player.

I have even added more points to the post. It is amazing how some people make it look like Osimhen won't make money if he misses out on this opportunistic nonsense that is not even in his own holistic interests but is in the full interests of C.Ronaldo.

And later, these same people will tell me that they care more about our lads than me?? Nna eh... this situation is one of such litmus tests to really expose who is who on the matters of our players' best interests and as usual, some will fail the test.

And one more thing I want to clear up is the fallacy of Napoli NOT being a big club.

Napoli is a Big Club. But they aren't an Elite Club. That is the difference.

Elites include Real Madrid, Man Utd, Barca, Bayern, Juventus, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, the Milan clubs (AC and Inter), PSG, and perhaps 1-3 more if any other.

Manchester Utd is definitely one of the elite clubs of the beautiful game but abeg... they are currently in shambles and trying to stand. Make the likes of Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Rashford, Potentially Antony and co stable their ship first.

They should also make the UCL next season, then they could stand a better chance of bagging Osimhen who actually dreams of one day kicking ball in the EPL.

But competition will be strong next summer for Osimhen coz the likes of Bayern and PSG will also be in the market come the summer of 2023 for a bad-ass Number 9.

With Haaland at City, Nunez at Liverpool, Gabby J at Arsenal, and Isak now at Newcastle, Real high yield quality number 9s won't be readily available next summer.. and that leaves a fight for Osimhen. Expect Victor to easily bag a pay package of >>220k euros per week next summer.

So the Big Ass money is coming, but he also seeks Greatness in the game. The two must go together for our lad. Finito.
Every Nigerian wants to play in the EPL.

Victor, with his status and price, would be going to a top 6 club in the EPL.

Man City has Haaland.
Liverpool has Darwin.
Spurs have Kane and Richarlison as his replacement.
Chelsea have Lukaku, and are wary of spending that much on a striker again after his failure. If they do, it would likely be to bring one of their own, Tammy, back.
Arsenal have signed Jesus to be the main man, and he is doing excellently well.

That really leaves only Man Utd as an EPL destination. In fact, the only clubs that can afford him, need him, and are actually elite in the world right now are Bayern and Man Utd. Every other either can't afford him, or has someone in his age group and on his level already.

Man Utd is a good destination for Victor. The timing of this move is just the hindrance really.

You don talk am finish... Anybody that want Osimhen to join Man Utd at this time doesn't have the young man's best interest at heart...
Not true...

With Victor's mentality, he will shine in Man Utd. There will not be as much pressure on him to perform because of how low Man Utd standards have fallen recently. He can be the poster boy for a new project, and even achieve legend status if Man Utd fortunes are reversed.

It would be a challenge, much better than going somewhere that you get criticized for not scoring a hat-trick every game like Nunez at Liverpool.

This is the third time Klopp will be facing Napoli in the champions league group stage as Liverpool manager...he has triumph them every time...even with Ancelotti as manager..
Napoli's bench is looking bad as hell this year though... Gio Simeone (who had more serie A goals than Osi last year), Ndombele, Raspadori, Politano and Elmas barely getting gametime, upcoming Zerbin, Olivera, etc. All young and extremely talented players.

Flourish Chioma Sabastine. Too bad. Talented but still a lot to learn in terms of teamwork. You cannot go it alone. If she had used her "sense" to cut back a few times or raised her head to try locate a teammate, the result might have been different.

Her selfish plays are immature for the Super Falcons right now.

Only Esther Onyenezide is mentally, technically and tactically matured to walk into the present Super Falcons from this set.

There is a reason I termed Esther, a Super Falcons material 100%.

Flourish is good and can get in on a 75% pass rating but Esther Chinemerem Onyenezide is the Biggest Truth of this set.

Really sad we crash out due to two errors from one of our most reliables in Demehin. She will learn from this and grow into a better CB I hope.
That left back is better than our left backs in the senior team.
