Aribo wasn't bad. The rest are true. Onyeka or Onyedika or both should have come on and we stick to 4-3-3. Chuks should not be starting ahead of Nacho on the right.

To people that are privy to Boniface, was the guy an attacking midfielder prior to becoming a striker? Because I have analyzed his game style and he plays more like an attacking midfielder than a pure 9. He has a good football IQ, intelligent, skillful, creative but his finishing isn’t superb. I am saying this because “wetin we Dey find for sokoto Dey our sokoto”
He was a LW but got converted to a striker because of his size. He could play RW for us too if we want to go 4-3-3.

He has been horrible at Milan. Super low in confidence, not decisive enough. Even his dribbling has been so ineffective, not to talk about end product. He needs to add that aggressiveness and directness guys like Salah and Saka have.

**Yawns**

Aribo is piss poor right now and isn't deserving of an invite. Squeezing out one assist to justify his place is desperation. The lad is not it. He brings nothing of note to our midfield because he is simply not even a midfielder. He is more of a forward and he won't be played there because he isn't overly better than the options available.

And it doesn't matter what you think of his talents. What matters is he is not active enough or holding down a starters' shirt in a 2nd tier league.
That's my whole point. He is seen as an attacker when he is in fact a midfielder. That's why he's not performing well at club level.

He has been a decent midfielder for us. Not necessarily exceptional, but has worked hard enough and performed well enough to keep his place in the team, especially considering our dearth of midfield options.

Jpes inviting Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as an answer to Iwobi needing help in the creative dept is both good and bad.
Good because I see he's finally listening to reason but bad because Fisayo is decent but not the profile needed to upgrade our creative side in midfield. His style and deeper stats says it all. The team needs a controller, a midfield player who can hold plays together and string passing sequences with the pausa of a dictator.

Fisayo is a decent CM/AM/LM but still lacks what will truly uplift the outlook of our midfield plays. His passing range isn't tops as well.

Finally, I still don't know what Joe Aribo is doing on this list. He has failed to nail down a starting shirt in the Championship and only gets few minutes here and there. He is off form and poor right now and isn't deserving of constant recall. It's not like he has done enough in the GWG colors either to justify his callup.

Jpes continues to deceive himself. Calling up 6 MFs for the first time yet not even calling up the right profile. Smh.

We move. Let us see where Peseiro leads this team.
Just say you want Nwakali in the team, leave all this "profile" talk grin

Aribo had an assist in the Sierra Leone game with a line splitting pass to Osimhen for the second goal which wasn't televised for some reason. In the creativity sense, I can see how his call up is justified.

Also Southampton refuses to play him in the CM/AM position where he performs best, instead playing him as an out-and-out attacker or RW which doesn't align with his skillset, making him look bad. I would advise he leaves soon, I think he can perform at the highest level given his talent.

From now on, I hereby name Victor Osimhen x Victor Boniface The Nigerian V-square (V²) 😁🥶🔥

V² wey dey give steady joy! Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen go maaad today 🥶

Friendly tip: Any striker whose hair is tinted blonde at the top and their name is Victor, fear them 😁
Going forward, I think a front two of Boniface and Osimhen is our best combo. Boniface is more creative, drops back, good at ball carrying, etc. which complements a striker like Osimhen. Awoniyi and Osimhen are two similar - target men who pin CBs back and want to run between the lines, so both will keep running into the same half spaces like we saw in the first half against Sao Tome.

Boniface is more dynamic and also has good passing and dribbling in his locker. I might even advise playing him on the right wing, he played there a lot for USG and is in better form than Lookman. He also plays there for Leverkusen when Hlozek comes on.

Overall, I think we've gotten our front two combo because Nacho is too static despite his amazing passing and creativity to play in that front two.

Exactly! The only thing he lacks is gas. He needs to watch his weight cos he seems to get tired around 80 minutes!
Osimhen used to be like that until last season. Nacho and Iwobi too. Success was even the worst, especially with his weight.

The more you play at the highest level, the better your stamina gets. That is not much of a problem as you think. Next season he will be able to last longer on the pitch.

The most efficient way to solve this is two pointers in O(n) time and O(k) space where k is the number of common elements. Using a set or hashmap might be O(n) time, but O(n) space so is less efficient.
In python:

def common_elements(arr1, arr2):
i, j = 0, 0 # pointers for arr1 and arr2 respectively
res = [] # result array

while i < len(arr1) and j < len(arr2):
# first skip all recurring values in both arrays
while i + 1 < len(arr1) and arr1[i] == arr1[i + 1]:
i += 1
while j + 1 < len(arr2) and arr2[j] == arr2[j + 1]:
j += 1

if arr1[i] == arr2[j]: # both are the same, so add to res
res.append(arr1[i])
i, j += 1
elif arr[i] < arr2[j]: # move i pointer
i += 1
else: # move j pointer
j += 1

return res

This should solve it with O(n) time and O(k) extra space where k is the size of res. We don't need a hashmap/set to store every single value in this case.
ProgrammingRe: Algorithm And Data Structure Study Section by drDoom3(m):
Longest Palindromic Substring

Given a string s, find the longest palindromic substring in s. You may assume that the maximum length of s is 1000.

Example 1:

Input: "babad"
Output: "bab"

Note: "aba" is also a valid answer.

Example 2:

Input: "cbbd"
Output: "bb"

Difficulty:

Medium
Textbook dynamic programming problem. The key is recognizing that for any palindrome s, adding the same letter to its start and end also gives a palindrome.

For instance, "aba" is a palindrome. Add "c" to it's beginning and end gives "cabac", which is also a palindrome.

Now, for the base case, every string of length 1 is a palindrome. Also, every string of length two with the same letters (i.e "bb"wink is also a palindrome.

Then, the recurrence is given two indices i and j in string s such that s[i] and s[j] contain the same letters, find the longest palindrome in the substring s[i + 1 : j - 1], then add 2 to the length of this longest palindrome to find the length of the longest palindrome in the substring s[0: n] where n is the size of string s.

In the case where s[i] != s[j], the longest palindrome must be from either increasing i or decreasing j. This is because picking i and j together does not form a palindrome, therefore we must make a choice to drop one.

Thus, the full recurrence relation becomes:

s[i:j] = 2 + s[i+1:j-1] if s[i] == s[j]
s[i:j] = max(s[i+1 : j], s[i : j-1] if s[i] != s[j]

Knowing the base case(s) and recurrence relation for a dp problem makes the code implementation trivial, so I will not bother to write it down here.

That reminds me, plan I have this dsa question that has been bothering me. How to you read a 3 letter palindrome from a string of characters in reverse.

I was able to read them going forward but I can't read the strings from the back.

For example:

gbabul will give bab reading it from the front. But if I have a longer string of characters and I need to read it from behind for a faster run time.

For instance
ghjuhiyusinohsjghsrhsjggskkhsuisvjbab
Will still give bab but it will take more run time even though it isn't that obvious. But it will be better if the program can read both forward and backwards simultaneously and spit out the answer faster.

I wrote it in C and it was still extremely fast but when I wrote it with python for longer strings, it gets considerably slower the longer the string becomes especially if the palindrome is t the back.

Pls, alchemyOfCodes, boss qtguru, and other bosses, come to my aid. My head won't stop thinking about it and I need to read for exam ooooo

Note, it must be a 3 letter palindrome
Keep a pointer at start, and one at end. When you move the start pointer by +1, move the end pointer by -1. At each step, check to see if the three characters at indices start, start + 1, and start + 2 form a palindrome, same with end, end - 1, and end - 2. Stop the while loop once start >= end.

Please can anyone come up with an optimized solution for solving this PS?

Design an algorithm to find all the common elements in two sorted lists of
numbers. For example, for the lists 2, 5, 5, 5 and 2, 2, 3, 5, 5, 7, the output
should be 2, 5, 5.

Time complexity should be 0(n) or better

✅️ In Yekini's First 25 NT Caps, he had only 8 goals.

The Great and Legendary Rashidi Yekini went on to bag a further 29 goals in his next 37 NT Caps to finish with 37 Goals in 62 Senior NT caps.

Osimhen is currently on 17 Goals in 25 NT Caps. He is on course chasing down the all time NT record of a Great Striking god.

✅️Osimhen has created the most chances in the game (3) and won the most duels in the game (6).

✅️Kenneth Omeruo has won 100% of his duels (4/4). 3 ground duels won. 1 aerial duel won. He also bagged an assist for the first goal.

✅️Wilfred Ndidi has recorded the most tackles in the game (3) as at HT.

✅️Joe Aribo has completed all 5 of his passes (100% passing accuracy).
Omeruo lost the ground duel that led to their goal. Very similar situation to Messi 1-0 vs us in 2018 world cup.

Super Eagles First Half Stats:

Iwobi is the only midfielder who has created a chance in this game. The one he sent into Aribo's path after Aribo's bursting run and 1-2 with Iwobi.

Ndidi has not registered even a pass into the final third.

Aribo has registered just one pass into the final third and ZERO CHANCES CREATED.

Of the 3 midfielders, Iwobi has made the most passes (20).
Aribo has 12 and Ndidi, 12.

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold the Best Midfield 3 you all wanted to field.

It is well.
These stats are not necessarily bad, especially considering the roles of each player in the game.

Aribo is not the one making those passes because he is the one at the end of the passes.

Ndidi is a destroyer.

The problem with this game is not the midfield. It is that we are not pressing high or making enough runs, Simon is killing every good opportunity on his wing, and our defensive line is not straight enough. Fix those and we will give them a game.

Troost and Simon not good enough for this level.

For this game, remove Simon, put Chuks or Dennis in and move Lookman to the left.

Instructions should be route 1 Iwobi with Aribo and Moffi making runs in behind.

Portugal looking surprisingly vulnerable, we are just too fearful. Instructions should be to press high and hold the ball.

Long term we need two good centerbacks, both Troost and Akpoguma are not good enough. Simon should not be starting big games for the Eagles. Seems he is only good against non-technical African teams like Sudan, Sao Tome and Guinea-Bissau.
