Process?you mean like work your service year to Lag? I don't know how maybe others can help out.

Or maybe through redeploying after 3months or so OR you choose the Borno and Adamawa states and if you're post to that places you might redeploy after the 2 or 3weeks camp activities.

I mean you know yourself better than anyone,like your lifestyles,tolerant level,clubbing,job opportunities,the religious type,security et all,so you will choose the states that you know that can give you all this.


For example,if you're the club going lady,some northern states like Katsina and Taraba and Bauchi won't justify that.


Job opportunities in your field of study like if you're into oil and gas sector,you know the south-south states fill that position.


You can't be security conscious and be choosing some of the volatile states in the northeast though our men in uniform are winning the war against insurgency.


Maybe you like the ever gyration states,lagos,PH,ABJ,Benin can fit into that as well as job hunting.


Okay,I want the low pofile of a thing,I can't afford too much car horns,loud music blaring as well as high cost of living and feeding,you know the states that can fill that void.


It all depends on luck sha,and probably some issues in the dark are now clear now?feel free to ask as we have members that are capable to profer solution to various questions.

I don't even know the states to go for sef, as I have lil indecision problems.

Don't be afraid of choice of states,just do your research about the states that will fit your profile and you good to go.

Haaa,I can only say choosing your state of origin already defeated the purpose of inter-culture or whatsoever(don't know how best to explain this)
I don't know why exactly but my opinion is that during admission into the university,state of origin was asked and submitted into the school database,so even if you choose it,you won't get it unless one redeploy on the basis of health,marriage et all.


Knowing the state one will serve in is solely the responsibility of NYSC computer selector(the programmers should forgive my blunders if there's any)they choose for you.

All in all,it depends on LUCK.

The choice of states is four(4)from the six(6)Geo-political zones(I do hope you know the GPZs).
Your choice of states will exclude your state of origin and the state where you schooled.
I will mention you when i list out the six Geo-political zones in Nigeria.

The online registration hasn't commence and you can't choose 3 diffeent states from the same geo-political zone.

Being an artisan is a huge boost for the OP if he intend to jet out of the country in a legit way,but i will advise the OP to use the student visa if possible as it will be easier than the visiting visa of a thing,as this is the method my dad apprentice who happen to be an auto mechanic used some years back to get into the UK,thereafter find his way and luckily for him,he's now working as an auto engineer in one of the UK companies without no hitches,it's being 10years or so as am still an apprentice under him then.
I will also urge the OP to try USA as well.
