Do this apply to students that only came to Nigeria before the international lockdown or just the first time travellers? Sweden precisely. |
kabe1:Please add Siriusblack, tempted to quote you as I'm a learner, all I do is to read and never comment. Anyway, it's quite sad the way things are going here. Bidexiii, bro I must say you doing great on this thread despite the negativity. I also salute LTGEN and Blackdalia. |
fuwaski:Very funny, my brother, I know all this places and even that premier school you mentioned. Abj is a beautiful city especially the eyebrow area but this can only fool the newcomers as one will only fantasize till thy kingdom come. I'm okay where I work just not fulfill, the salary is okay but I don't see myself answering to anybody beyond December this year as I plan to be my own boss but this pandemic is just slowing things down. I started as a low level worker at my place of work before God open my boss eyes, he checked my CV again after 3months and all of a sudden he gave me a bigger task that I never expect even in a year of working with him, that's a good boss I must say. I won't go into teaching full time, maybe home lesson for my nephews or cousins here in Abj as my aim is to go into transport very soon, get some cars for Uber and open a mechanical workshop as well as I'm into mechanical aspects right from my childhood. Dad is a mechanic and a transporter so he trained me well into that aspect. Moreover I think why average people fail in Abj is because of hyping and forming who they're not, telling people back home all is well when it isn't, living in an area of 200k per rent when you earn 30k per month. I'm lucky as I don't pay house rent here, I live in one of my bro houses and if I want to go astray a times, he always call me to order. |
I remember when I was teaching in one private school then, the pay was 8k, Chai, I taught in that school for over a year but I'm always the target as I live well above my salary, bitter colleagues and so many other things so l left and came to Abj. When I arrived Abj, Yes I still want to teach as I have a BSc in Geography Education so I told my bro who's well grounded to find a teaching job for me albeit a government one but we met with a huge roadblock as his contacts demanded for 800k. I submitted my CV to MOE and till now no show. I opted for private schools and the two schools I went to I was turned down as the first told me he can't employ me as I will dislodge him within six months that was after interview, he said "You're good and my boss ordered me to employ you but I can't" he plainly told me he's the only one with Education cert in the school and he forsee rivalry between us, well I looked at him and I moved. Second school treated me like a trash and I moved as well so it really discouraged me about teaching in Abj though this was like 3years ago. I'm into hotels and the pay is very okay as I'm better than that meagre 8k I earned back then but I'm not fulfill as I will still go back to teaching come what may even if it's just for a month. One thing I know is that Abj schools do pay a lot, my friend earn averagely 120k per month here though he did not have Education cert. Dude is very loyal and infact he's the one championing me to come to submit CV to his school and other schools in his area. |
Well, it depend on individual/family and not religion as my father once told me if any human tell me he will kill me, I should instantly reply the person that he/she will kill him/herself. It was so weird at first until I start to face some life realities, I used that phrase twice and I don't pray to use it again as the individuals involve always have sad endings. The second incident really destabilize me so I asked my dad the reason behind such phrase and the man simply told me that's what his father(My grandpa) told him many years ago. |
tey4tobyy8005:My friend result show he's positive, when he told me this afternoon I told him to put a pause to everything for now. He's sad and I just don't like that the situation he's in right now as he has put in a lot to back down. Now he's being told by another friend that it can be surpress through herbal treatment (that's if he constantly use it for good one week)by then if he go for another test it won't show positive, how true is this? |
aquadude15:You're right, the Ekimoguns value personality. That place is around Odosida/Enu-Owa axis. I miss Ondo kingdom. |
Toks2008:He's not too young, I started practicing mechanics right from my basics class(basic 2)as I always end up at my dad workshop after school, this I practiced till my university days till I become my own boss. If he concentrate, mechanical work will be like pap to him. |
Hmmmm, kabaka!!! |
enonche85:The same Abuja where my brother stopped to help 2 people who he thought they are stranded, his car was snatched at gunpoint and after like 2months he saw the car along Maraba area with heavily armed SARS inside,he traced them and got to know where they are heading to,he reported to the nearest station and the funniest thing is that they said he's an armed robber despite reporting 2months ago that his car was stolen at gunpoint, bro had to made some calls to his friends who are naval officers which resulted into some confrontations before they released the car to him. The ridiculous thing is that one police officer even told my brother to forget about the car or better still sell it for them so that they will be using it as it doesn't consume fuel. Now ehn even if you're overstranded on the highway bro won't even look your side. |
Chuksmonika:It won't affect your Allawee, all you have to do is to use the name on your BVN(Kenneth Chukwuma) when registering for bank details in camp though there will be space in the sheet asking you if you have another bank account, just input your functional acct number with your BVN then they will link everything together. I experienced same problem and it never affect my allawee throughout my service year. I apologize for the late response and I wish you all the best. |
Abjay97:LOL,he's a Nigerian. |

LadyGoddiva:LOL,I believe this. |
Bari22:Who knows,me I cannur come and kee maself on top POP matter, plans scattered already. True true,e dh pain me wella. |
What happened yesterday was just pure inadequate from the part of NYSC. Circular(fake or real) was all over the internet and to cap it all some states LGI even confirmed it and yes the believe set in that POP is on 21st,I started doubting it when my LI told me "It's all a rumour but we are expecting circular any moment form now, call me back by 7pm"I said to myself why is my state different when some states already pass the information across that it's real then the so called NYSC reacted by debunking it(I guess that's the circular my LI talked about). The question is: Does NYSC issued the purported circular then later changed it?(If not, those LGIs won't confirm it). If it's fake, why did those LIs confirm it(pure incompetency). When is batch B stream 2 POP?they should tell us or are they only good in debunking rumours or issuing disclaimer? |
Bari22:Lobatan!!! Confusion everywhere. |
LadyGoddiva:Haaaaa,it shouldn't be ooo. Hey God,let it be positive news. |
LadyGoddiva:Called my LI and he said they're expecting circular any moment from now. I think 21st is real. |
Genericoz:O'lord,let this be real. |
oyeezah:She's not to be blame, she definitely saw it somewhere and she posted it as well. I have received this message from friends as well as calls asking me if it's true and since my LI never call me I told them it's not authentic (Though I wish it is) |
I laff, this is just to court the attention of NYSC,dem boys want them to release press statement ni. |
buklarbest:Thank you, that is what my LGI told me,it's either 18th or till next year as NYSC won't take the risk of releasing us during festive period. |
chiefojiji:Chief,be careful oo,do you want his LGi to be his enemy ni?all LGi na aboki(friend). |
Bari22:Double allawee?Nawa oo. |
Bari22:Zamfara state. |
