Crude oil, commonly known as
petroleum, is a liquid found within the
Earth comprised of hydrocarbons,
organic compounds and small amounts
of metal.
In Nigeria,despite being blessed with numerous natural resources like marble,limestones,granite,coal,iron-ore to name a few,our major source of income is from the crude oil which can be found/extracted in the Niger-delta areas of Nigeria,Alas,crude oil is a blessing that has turned into a curse for this nation,corruptions,atrocities and militancy has emerged due to this blessing cum curse.
We should also note that countries like Saudi Arabia,Iran,Russia,to name a few produce oil but their economy was not base on oil-money,they are now regarded as "Developed Nations" unlike Nigeria which for years now has been on the ladder of "Developing Nations"
Indeed,we have generated a lot from oil,millions of barrels were being produced daily,exportation happened daily as well,we rejoiced and danced as we believe we have it all but here come the heartbreaking news of oil-price being on the low,this affected nearly every sectors of the nation,workers not being paid,our naira fallen,masses struggling to put food on their table,it seems the ship is heading for an iceberg Gboaaaaaaa,it will be disastrous,the captain is shivering,passengers are confused,we're in a cross-road.
The question is: Can Nigeria survive without oil-money?

I was a JCI member in skul, we always had a project on environmental days..(operation keep ado ekiti clean)..I was d director of community development dat year.. we decided to do zebra crossing at fajuyi in ado ekiti, we got approval from FRSC and ministry of environment (and it was supervised)..we involved d press.

just as we finished d project and about going home, gov fayemi drove by, stopped and saw wat we did...He told us to clean it immediately, everyone include ng d FRSC official was shocked.. he called d commisional of eniroment and instructed him to ensure we cleaned it.. com c as we dey clean paint wey don dry.

sometimes, these people frustrate efforts of good citizens fa.
