Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Dreambeat: 7:42pm On Sep 12, 2014
ChimaAdeoye: I am happy for everything in Enugu, Onitsha ,Aba and Owerri they are all my cities. I can tell you why. I will not give details of my life just to obscure my ID a little.
I was born in Aba and raised there. Went to former Prescco secondary school Abakaliki, then completed secondary school in Enugu. Went to University in Awka and lived in Onitsha, precisely off Tony Umeh street in Awada L/O.When i got married to a guy living abroad, they advised me to read nursing while waiting for my green card, so I started with school of nursing at ABSUTH Aba, then finished and worked in FMC Owerri. then decided to also do Midwifery at FMC Umuahia, volunteered in the maternity ward at Emekuku hospital when i finished midwifery. Then got work same year at Onitsha general before i was finally able to get a green card and travel out.A total of about 9 years after our wedding. So I have a passion for the SE development, even though Igbos here in the USA always wonder why I'm still so passionate about Nigeria.

I may sound silly to some who are yet to attain this level of awareness, but in time you too will see it too.
ChimaAdeoye is a lady?Hmmmmm shocked shocked grin grin

NifemiOlu: Wondering why some peeps are having issues with Windows 8, for me, it's super great...super cool. As for this Windows 9, all I can see is a combination of Windows 7+8.1. Is Microsoft trying to dull us?
Well said!
Crime › Re: Nigerian Man Arrested For Abducting And Molesting A Woman In The U.S. by Dreambeat: 1:58pm On Sep 12, 2014
swezenberg: I visited Brooklyne few days ago to get some stuff from African store. I was attended to by a Ghanaian. Those of you in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania may know what I'm talking about. In fact other Africans are beginning to run from Nigerians with this our attitude. Our numerous churches and mosques are not helping. Parents need to start helping their children at home. Women should stop bringing home bastards for another man to raise and men should be men and stop behaving like boys because of that restless thing between their legs
I don't get you?Was it the exclusive right of Nigerians to work at African stores? huh, that a Ghananian attended to you meant that Nigerians were no more employed at African stores?
Sports › Re: What Do Make Of This Recent Spat Between Mourinho And Guardiola? by Dreambeat: 1:13pm On Sep 12, 2014
picaso77: Guardiola claimed grass should not be longer than 1.5cm (currently 3cm) and be watered before every match to make tie game quick and more beautiful.

To this, Mourinho countered: “Everyone has his style of play, which should be respected. Football can be spectacular in several ways.”

And Guardiola reportedly responded: “The beauty of football depends on the coach. It seems to me that Mourinho prefers the result to the spectacle. I know to him that’s all that matters.”

The spat ended there but was now reignited by Mourinho on Wednesday when he told German publication Bild that Guardiola’s bald head is an indication that he doesn’t enjoy football.

“If you enjoy what you’re doing, you don’t lose your hair. He’s got a bald head. Guardiola doesn’t enjoy football,” he said.

Travel › Re: A Reason To Change Your Accent When You Travel Abroad (america) by Dreambeat: 11:53am On Sep 12, 2014
Had the same problem. It's pretty difficult trying to communicate with the thick Nigerian accent over there. It's even more difficult understanding theirs, especially the African Americans.About slowing down while talking like a poster suggested,I don't understand what that means.I don't think slowing down your speech is the issue,it is the way we pronounce words in this part of the world. There are some letters in a word that are meant to be somewhat silent during pronunciation but we tend to vocalize them. This is just the way we were all brought up.

Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by Dreambeat: 2:34pm On Sep 11, 2014
Let me paraphrase what the judge said:Oscar Pistorius while giving evidence was calm, coherent but while being cross examined he became emotional, broke down frequently. His defense team was of the opinion that while giving evidence,he was on medication to help him control his emotional trauma.Imagine such a lame excuse. My take is that he was thoroughly prepared and asked to show such emotion by his defense team to get sympathy from everybody involved in this proceedings. This guy is just a lucky murderer!

Scyllapatron: relax bro... if you suspect someone has entered your house at midnite, would your first action be to shout your girl-friends namehuh answer me? some times we get so emotional that we deliver biased judgements. let us wait for the final verdict.
If I suspect someone has entered my house, the first thing I will do is to be sure of my girlfriend's whereabout since she was sleeping on the same bed with me before then. This is not about sentiment or emotion,it's about common sense and proper judgement

This whole saga is annoying, wasted the poor girl's life claiming it was unintentional. This is the kind of case where the jury system is better angry angry.I think the government should file for an appeal
Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by Dreambeat: 11:47am On Sep 11, 2014
vacanci: If he called out to his girl friend before firing the gun, how would one knw that when the girl is already dead. i dont think such question was necessary in the investigation. who would have attest to that.
If he did he would have mentioned it.At least let it be on record
Celebrities › Re: Oscar Pistorius Trial: Judge Delivering Verdict, LIVE by Dreambeat:
I think it was a premeditated murder. How could you be at home with your girlfriend, sleeping on the same bed for that matter and you heard a noise for which you felt came from a burglar. You did not call out to your girlfriend to know whether the noise you heard was coming from her.You went ahead to shoot.Abeg talk another story. He was not found guilty for murder not because he didnt commit the crime intentionally but just for want of enough evidence for his conviction. The prosecutors probably did not do a good job putting forth the necessary evidence to nail him.

slimyem: It's not really that cumbersome. You do not have to impute the sort code and address on your own.
All you need do is type in the correct bank name in the box provided for it and click on "search bank archive" next to it. All what you need automatically populates.
Postal code is simply 234. The process of maintaining a number as beneficiary is all to provide an extra layer of security for you
Nigerians complain about the layers of security banks put in place for their own security. They are the same ones who would be quick to want to hold the banks liable for successful fraudulent attempts if those things are not in the first place.
Thanx.I will try it out once more

bigtt76: GT must have increased theirs cost at a time it was N240 when Zenith was N450. Don't know about Union Bank ...though I would dine with them using a very looooooooooong spoon grin they're so archaic
The last one I did in February from CapitalOne ATM was either 420 or 450.Cant remember the exact amount deducted but I am very sure it wasn't less than 400 and not more than 500
Business › Re: GTBank's Internet Banking Services...totally OVER-HYPED! by Dreambeat: 4:34pm On Sep 07, 2014
bigtt76: I agree with you. I use Diamond Bank mobile app and meeeen its daaaa bomb. No need for all dat token hype. Only issue is with the security. One need to secure the mobile device tight else its just your PIN and the next transfer is done.

So if you're the type that install all sort of app from third party app markets, then you just might need to think twice.
Exactly my thought. This is why I have refused to make transfers with the mobile app.I just don't believe it's safe enough
