Can you briefly describe to us how to write a proposal?
To be honest, there's nothing like a proposal template. Just write as if you are talking physically with the client. Your proposals should be unique to each job post, don't try to copy and paste. Also be honest with them, some clients really appreciate honesty.
In addition, don't be too formal. It's not a job interview. you are trying to tell someone you are the best man for the job so loosen up a bit and try to write from the client's perspective.
Also, always prove you can do the job well in your cover letter. Don't use your cover letter to start listing all your irrelevant soft skills or all the companies you've worked for. Use this avenue to explain to the client how you are going to execute THEIR PROJECT. You can also ask questions if the job description wasn't clear enough, it might compel some clients to invite you for an interview so they can answer those questions and you further elaborate.
Finally, make it short and avoid errors. Spelling errors irritate so try to avoid them. Also try to make your cover letter as brief as possible, reading long, repetitive texts tend to bore most clients. Always remember, you aren't the only one that'll submit a proposal for that particular job, so put that in mind and take note of the competition.

I almost forgot, try to have a good portfolio. Especially for those who don't have any work history on upwork. It's not for show or display.it actually helps convince clients that you are experienced when there are no reviews on your profile. My first client actually referenced one of my work samples on my portfolio during my interview with him.

Hey.
My account was suspended yesterday but it just got approved and I realized the problem was from my end.
I didn't use the right location on my upwork profile but I later did, and my account was finally verified.
Make sure the contents of your NIN slip match the contents of your profile. If they don't match, your account will be suspended.
Also use 'Others' instead of 'National ID' when selecting the category.
Lastly, don't send them a soft copy of the slip. Make sure you snap it. Don't crop it too.
Just send it to them like that.
Make sure your first name, last name and middle name on your upwork profile correlates with the one on your NIN slip.

I just want to thank you once again, you've been of so much help. I just got my verification badge, all thanks to you.

Look at the attached.
Thank you very much. Was your NIN slip coloured or black and white?
Also, if I may ask, what was the issue with your location?

Please who has used NIN slip for verification here? Did it work?
Also when selecting the category of the identification I'm submitting, should i choose 'Others' or 'National ID'?
THANKS.
Good day, please have you been verified on upwork and did you use your NIN slip? My account was suspended yesterday and I don't have any other form of id except my regular nin slip.

Please I'm struggling to get my first job on upwork...I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. My profile is okay and I write good enough proposals. I've sent out many proposals yet not a single invite. I honestly don't know what to do anymore and I don't want to waste my connects.
Finally, just got my first job on upwork!

Please go back and read my previous reviews because there's nothing to see on your profile. Nothing about your experience, niche, skillset, or services. Absolutely nothing. Not even a portfolio. There's nothing to review.

Well done! Your profile is good — probably even the best one I've reviewed on NL so far — but it needs some work.

The big problem with your pitch is verbiage; it's too wordy. The 3 questions at the beginning are asking the same thing, so combine them. Remember, a stellar copywriter should know when enough is enough.

- Look up the difference between "will" and "would" and correct your improper uses of "would."
- Your services and skills should come before your client reviews.
- Be mindful of the claims you make in your pitch, especially when you have a portfolio attached.
- I also always counsel freelancers against misusing the word "expert," especially those struggling to put a sentence together.

Let's look at this paragraph:

Only a client wooing you will care to know about your passion, so remove that part; it's unnecessary information. It also sounds like you're begging to get hired. An "expert" wouldn't do that.

Make sure you proofread your write-up. I spotted a few too many errors in it. Errors can shatter your chances of landing a well-paying client.

Thank you very much for this...I really appreciate.

Good evening house. I'm vying for medicine and surgery in uniport. I need advice. Scored 254. I'm aware this score isn't good enough, however, there is still post UTME ahead. I need honest advice on what to expect in the exams, grading system, how are questions set. Just anything.
Everything is welcome, especially from students, medical students particularly.
Thanks.

Okay, your score is a bit low compared to others but that shouldn't discourage you much, rather it should push you to study more.
The post utme exam is a CBT exam of 50 questions to be answered in 30 minutes. Each question is an equivalent of 8marks.
The subjects include English, biology, physics and chemistry. Maths might be added so take note of that...it took most of us by surprise last year.
The exam isn't that difficult but the time is deadly. Most people could barely finish halfway....so be conscious of the time when studying.
Another tip I'll give is to start studying on time...a big mistake I made that almost cost me my admission was starting late.

Good day!
Please, I have some questions

1) Is Uniport's PUTME past Jamb questions?
2) Will 263 suffice for Medicine or Dentistry?
3) What is the total tuition for 100L?
4) Is Hostel payment compulsory?
5) Does UNIPORT operate a fast academic calendar or a slow one?
6) Does UNIPORT do Catchment stuffs?

1) Yes to some extents though during my time I saw new questions that weren't in the past questions.
2) It all depends on the average performance this year and your post utme score....I believe candidates performed better this year than last year from my observations.
3) About 145,000 only just for tuition but there will also be little fees you might pay.
4) Hostel paymen is not compulsory.
5) speed of Academic calendars depend on some factors but UNIPORT'S calendar is okay.
6) Every state in the federation is under the catchment are of uniport.
