Fashion / Re: A “SEW ALONG” THREAD For Sewing Enthusiasts/Tailors/Fashion Designers:DECEMBER by Dressmaker(f): 8:24pm On Aug 06, 2013
Hie, I am new here. How do I participate? I can sew to an extent. I am just lazy about it and not quiet self-motivated. So I feel I can get some motivation from here- making dresses simultaneously with other designers.

Hie, I just purchased the scratch cards and I think I am almost done with the filling of the application form. I am at the point where I should fill my 3 referees.

My question is, do the 3 referees have to be lecturers? If not, who else can be your referee.

Secondly does anyone have a copy of what the referee form looks like. I will prefer is my referee fill the forms first before I put in their names. This is because I don't want to fill in a name and discove that the lecturer is unavaliable due to the ASUU strike. Please can someone forward the referee form to my email t_may9@hotmail.com

By the way I attempted the English proficiency test and I had 53%. That's really poor. I did poorly in the "synonyms and antonyms" section. Apparently, I usually use very simple English words and less-simple words have become foreign to me. God help me on the d-day.

Romance / Re: When A Lady Returned Your Gift: by Dressmaker(f): 10:34am On Nov 20, 2009
Hmm, a gift.Where you trying to get her attention? Not like you were already in a relationship with her.Gifts work sometimes. You can attract a lady with it.

A lady who returns a gift probably wants to be sure she is into you because of who you are and not what she stands to get from you.Maybe she likes you and wants you to know that. She wants to assure you that you dont have to impress her.

The mothers visit to you is what I dont understand.Whats the occassion?Introduction? Please,

Lastly, its not time to bluff go for her and be yourself.
Family / Re: Would You Quit Your Job If Hubby Insists? by Dressmaker(f): 10:30pm On Nov 19, 2009
When the man met the woman, she was working. He fell for her, loved her and married her. Now He wants to change things. Will he fancy, respect, appreciate, value and regard her when she stays home looks after the kids and grow fat? Will he be paying her salary for staying home.

If its about infidelity? Is it not easier for a house wife to cheat? She has got more time for this. A work environment just looks like a lot is going on because you see a lot of interaction between the opposite sex.

Is it about finding time for the family? The woman can find a Job that won’t take the whole. She can teach, lecture or be her own boss.

I personally value quality time spent with family. I also know that God wants us-women to be submissive but…Its not as easy as it sounds. I will try to convince him and if he still insists I will quit but then it will make me very saddddddd and he will be affected too so I get to go back to work.lol.
Romance / Re: Breaking Up For A Good Reason by Dressmaker(f): 9:55pm On Nov 19, 2009
Anytime,Any day a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. When love is strongly involved in a relationship, most times the individuals involved are irrational. No reason is good enough for a breakup. If we can just add some common sense knowing that marriage is for life any reason why a relationship cant work is good enough.

Certain things like tolerance, understanding etc are important.I can tolerate someone with BO as a room mate because its for a while.I can tolerate a colleague that is temperamental-time spent together is limited.I can have an 'unbeliever' as a friend-pray he/she changes some day.BUT, its different when its meant to be deeper, longer, a breakup could be a life saver.
