Hi, thank you so much for your response. But this is me genuinely asking, how does working legally in SA to gain a bit of experience after undergrad, hurtful to my application?🤔 Isn’t it potentially very dangerous to omit information on purpose counting as misrepresentation?🤔

With regards to home ties, so my father has a company, has his CaC,TCC, etc and his work is literally directly related to what I’m going to study hence I plan to write about coming back to help expand the family business? Thoughts?🤔

alphabbey1:
Whatever you want to write in your SOP, try your very best to avoid including that you stayed and worked in south Africa after schooling. And your real challenge now is not even financial but Home Ties. Trust me, it wont be easy for you to scale through that, you need God's grace.
You literally spent 2 more years in SouthAfrica after graduation, coming home now just when you are about to apply for Canada visa is a big red flag to IRCC.
To make your home ties strong, you need Marriage or Established business with CAC document and tax receipt....

Good day Everyone, I got into University of Toronto for a 2 year M.Eng In Mechanical and Industrial Engineering starting September 2026 and I have a few questions.

1. My tuition is CAD35,718 per year for 2 years while living expenses is CAD23,000 per year totalling CAD58,718 per year. My Father is my sponsor, he owns a business, in his business account he's got about #230,000,000 ~CAD232k and his personal account he's got about #30,000,000, ~CAD30k. Additionally, I have secured a loan of 41,000 USD which is what I actually want to use to pay my tuition while my father covers my living expenses. Do you think showing Loan + Business account + dad's personal account will be enough POF to convince IRCC? Do you think I should ask my dad to send about #30,000,000 more from his business account to personal so I can show #60,000,000 or more?

2. I did my undergrad in SA, graduated 2024 and been working since then, I'm leaving my job end of may to come apply for my study permit in Nigeria. When showing proof that I worked, is my employment letter and payslip enough? I'm asking because my previous expired passport with my work permit was lost and I have an affidavit that proves it.

3. How do I prove home ties because I'm single, not married, mid 20s? I plan to write about coming to manage my dad's business as he's in the manufacturing sector which aligns closely with industrial engineering. Is it compelling enough?

I started with imL 3years ago, Please and please don't waste your money in imL. They are nothing but ponzi scheme... Ripping people off. There is nothing u will learn in iml that u wont find for free on you tube.

Make you tube your friend, download enough videos, and practice... And keep sourcing for more knowledge, alot of free ebooks available online too.

Cheers
Thats what I'm gonna do. Thank you so much for your advice.

Good morning GURUS. I have been a silent follower of this thread for only God knows how long lol. I am a very young boy who is interested in forex. I was introduced to forex last year June , learnt a few stuffs, went through babypips but it seemed like I was still missing something. I had a live account but when i got admission to study in SA early this year I left forex and broke even on my live account so I could focus on eduation at least for my 1st year.

Now I'm on a 3-month holiday and I really wanna sink my teeth into this thing such that even when school resumes I wouldn't have a problem managing my education with forex and winning in both. So, I having been making some research in my spare time all year long and in the course of that I stumbled on this company called imarketslive(IML). Someone introduced me to it and to be honest it was really enticing to join(PS: I'm a very naive somebody lol). I decided to look them up and I really don't know if i should join them or not cos I have actually seen some really good reviews/testimonies an also some bad reviews.

So in summary, all I'm trying to ask is how do I learn forex and be a boss in it? huh

Good evening, please can someone on a study permit travel on a one way ticket... Tho I know travelling on a return ticket is way cheaper than one way. Cuz the cheapest I can get so far is just 2 weeks trip... I just need to utilize the out bound trip. I hope it will not raise any question at the POE.
I used a one way ticket bro.. I wasn't even asked for a thing at Poe

Hi, pls did you use your business account, I intend using only my business statement of account ( I am a sole signatory). I don’t have enough funds in my personal account but I have access to the funds in my business account. Pls I just need to know if I can submit only by business account.
Yes you can ...Infact I used my dad's account in which he was the sole signatory.. You just need a reference letter from the bank In accordance with your statement of account stating that you're the sole signatory and that you intend to travel.. Lobatan and also you started it in your introduction letter and financial support letter

90 days stay on what Visa category? multiple or single entry? My logic does not tell you every single person flying to SA on a visit Visa will be returned if they use a different airline other than SAA. I have friends that used Rwand air for the first time and were. I also have friends that were not returned, came back again using SAA and were accepted. Don’t compare a passport with travel history to a virgin one on one month visit visa. It is only adviseable to you their national carrier as they mostly don’t bother at POE OR thambo or ask you tons of questions or verification. Also SAA is direct flight.

A British immigration officer and a South African immigration officer are not THE SAME so it cannot be saying the same thing.
I travelled for the first time with Ethiopian airlines and at had no problem or whatever at the POE

Passport got delivered to my doorstep today around 12:35pm tioday.. Lo and behold, Study permit was given!!!!!!!!!!!! shocked shocked grin ..It took approximately 9 weeks..I want to thank everybody on this platform that has been of help .. I'm so grateful..you lots are the real MVP..Thank you so much..this is my first time of applying. NO agent, just a teenager that submitted genuine documents with the help of God and gurus on this platform..

I was given 2 years instead of 4 years which is the duration of my study due to the fact that my passport expires in 2 years time, guess I'll have to renew it at SA then..

Please can you post the SA commissions email address or what medium did your school use in contacting the embassy huh
I actually don't know whether my school contacted them or not because i never received a response from the school till now..but if you need to reach them their email is info.zang@vfshelpline.com always quote your reference number when sending them an email...or better still check this quoted post for vfs lagos helpline so that you can talk to one of their staff member

Drey143:
+2348150188800

Follow the instructions until you reach where it will ask if to want to talk to someone from the high commission or better still after you've dialled and it's asking you questions just punch in 121 slowly... It's like customer care service.. Hope you understand?

Are you sure I won’t withdraw my application and apply in Lagos these people haven’t gotten back to me in five months
I would advice you to be patient and wait till this week runs out as @sheddymore has said since you both applied at abuja..If there's no response then maybe you should go there in person...But I'm really optimistic that you'll be notified this week...just keep your fingers crossed
