Peterlove11: It actually rated 10.2kw(10.2kva with pf=1). had to check online, people complained about same rating issue. It's overated. But for its price, it's a fair bargain What u got was most likely a relabeled pack. The 10.2kva model is slightly different from what you have |

samnaija: First what discharge will his battery undergo to charge 100amps instaneous charge. I would love to see you prove it for a 12v system.
It will not reach 100amps. The charge controller will automatically give accordingly to what the battery needs.
Then you made mention that it is only hybrid that set a particular charge that is wrong. My fangpuson 80amps charge controller, with so many non hybrid can be modlated or set to whatever charge or current you want. But none the less, mine is set at 80amps and fully loaded with panels, you will not get the complete 80amps You cant compare ur CC to a Felicity CC. I know u can set ur bulk/float voltage on the felicity CC but doubt u can choose the charging current. I may be wrong though |

Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 9:57am On Nov 20, 2024 |
samnaija: First of all , where Will the 120amps current come from?. Is it from the 3 panels used for the system, definitely not. It cant generate 120amps. And don't mind individuals scaring you if you have a good charge controller, whatever amps in your battery, you consume is exactly what the charge controllert will give you back. It is a demand and supply curve
Dont reduce the charge of Controller, it should be at the max, you cant generate the 120amps with 3 panels, but it will supply exactly what your battery needs. He is using 3 580w panels on a 12v system. If the sun is blazing, what makes u think he wont be getting over 100amps into his battery as his CC can not be set to give a particular charge current unlike an hybrid inverter |

KINGKONG: The aforementioned equipment are not used daily….. Some days not used at all….. the weaving machine and sewing machine are all using servo motor which does not stress the system at all… though I’m planning for an upgrade soon.
It’s just a temporary system in place.
The shop closes by 6pm and hence battery is not really in used… For a 12v system, u sudnt be doing more than 240w(20amps) of load which I'm sure ur equipment surpasses. Its even worse when u have no loads as all the charging current wud be going into the battery |

Ray1251: The budget is approximately ₦650,000, and the goal is to power a setup that includes a deep freezer (60W with a starting power of around 120W), a TV (130W), and rechargeable fans (60W when charging and 15W during use). During the day, the system should support charging the fans and running the deep freezer, while in the evening, it should power around 10 LED lights (5W each, totaling 50W), the TV, and the fans when in use, the water pumping machine will be used only when there is power from the main supply. Apart from getting the hybrid inverter and extra panels, hope u kept funds for protective devices for the hybrid as its fragile compared to the transformer based 1kva u were using. |

Ray1251: "I'm seeking advice on upgrading my mother's solar power setup on a limited budget. She lives in an area with an unreliable power supply. Currently, she has 3 × 100W solar panels, a 220Ah tubular battery, and a 1kVA inverter that needs repairs. Due to the worsening power situation, I'm considering upgrading to a 2kVA Sako hybrid inverter and replacing the existing panels with 3 × 550W panels while reusing the 220Ah battery. Does this approach seem reasonable given the budget constraints? As u no mention budget, ow do we know its constrained 😁😁😁. You are on the right path. Dam5reey1: Inefficient decision.. 580 X 3 = 1740W.. 40A controller will limit your output to only 580W cause max charging voltage is 14.6..
You need 120A controller, With that amount Just go an buy 12V 2kva Hybrid inverter that has 2000w PV capacity.. that can utilize your 1740w PV for Load and up to 80A charging
This is the efficiency i was referring to in Stand alone. Perfect option for him. Its always good if u not sure of something to ask before taking ur decision. Yoruba say person wey ask for road no dey lost. There's no way u can use 3 580w panel on a 40amp charge controller with 12v setting. |

Dageek: Hello great people, I have been following this thread for a while, took my time to read through existing pages and was able to extract some information, but I’m really locked in between choosing battery.
Based on my power requirements, I would need at least 10kwh battery, this means the pylontech battery of that capacity will cost 4 million plus while felicity 15kwh (13kwh real capacity) will cost more less
This is not my first solar system, I have a 3.5kva 24v system with 2 flooded batteries and 8 x 300w Siemens panels, my plan is to upgrade to a bigger system using Deye 6kw from odyssey, 12 x 555w jinko panels from Fouani , Felicity battery from Naira lander here or Pylontech from Fouani
I would like to seek advise from people who have already used or installed either the Pylontech or felicity of that capacity, which one to choose considering durability, performance and ease of use.
Furthermore, I don’t want to use custom coupled battery because most of these batteries don’t offer communication port which is essential for the system I’m trying to build Ur last statement isnt completely true. Valto here has coupled a few with the communication port present. The choice is urs in the end |

HeavenlyBang: Freezers don't need anywhere near as much as power as you'd think.
The answer to this will depend on how many hours you need the freezer to be running AT NIGHT. Energy storage (batteries) is what accounts for most of the budget in a setup, I'd say.
If you can make do with the freezers running from 8-5 during the day, and then for maybe four hours in the middle of the night, you'll be able to get a setup that isn't really that expensive. Maybe around 800k. 800k for what sir? Inverter and battery alone wud need more not to now talk of panels and accessories with installation fee |
