crunchyDope:Those buses belongs to Agofure now due to the contractual agreement the Uduaghan led government had with the company at the initial. Now when we talk about development, I want to state it categorically clear that Nigeria is very underdeveloped. So when we talk about development and making comparisons as to what development is in other countries then I will say Delta state and every state in Nigeria aside Partially Lagos is underdeveloped. But talking about development in the Nigerian Context, then Delta state is among the states that has tried in Nigeria. Delta state should be condemned at the expense of global development and not at the expense of Ogun or Ebonyi or other states in Nigeria because these states are no where above Delta state. I know these people very well I have traveled in this Nigeria, most of them haven’t even been to Niger Delta. Anyone saying Delta state is underdeveloped(in the Nigeria context) should tell us the state he’s from and let’s get down with an head to head comparison. Nigeria is very underdeveloped, however inside this underdeveloped Nigeria Delta state is among the states that has tried! |
martineverest:You guys will just come online to say rubbish when you don’t even travel. For record purposes, Delta state is more developed than Edo Beyelsa and even Rivers State, yes I said it, unless you want to Equate Porthacourt as the only place in Rivers State. I really don’t indulge in arguments like this but yours is filled with vast ignorance as it’s obvious you’re one of those that don’t travel yet spew trash. Delta state has all segments developing without a centralized style of development as it’s very common with most part of Nigeria, that is why to they can boast of Asaba, Warri , Sapele, Ughelli to name a few. I want you to tell us the states you think are better than Delta aside Lagos and Partially Abuja in Nigeria? What unemployment rate? So there is no unemployment rate in other states in Nigeria? Delta state has the lowest, yes do your research, the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria!. Have you travelled to Delta state before? Where and when? Enough of this ignorance Oga |
Iceyjayz:Bros, How is Delta state one of the most backward states in Nigeria? |
Osagyefo98:No you don’t understand. My point is, talking about urbanization and development amongst the 36 states in Nigeria, Delta state is definitely among the states that has tried. But if we should talk about development in General then only Lagos and Partially Abuja should be mentioned because Nigeria is very underdeveloped and a mediocre compared to other countries and even our fellow African countries like Algeria , South Africa , Morocco and others |
Osagyefo98:You never still answer the question. Watin other southern states take de try way Delta no get apart from Lagos? You guys should travel and see things. Even Rivers State just like other southern state has a centralized style of development. they have just Porthacourt. Every other part like Etche, kalabari etc are so under developed. Bayelsa nothing, Edo nothing, Ondo has only Akure just like Oyo has Ibadan , Akwa has uyo, I’m saying this because I’ve travelled to these states and not hear say. But in Delta state we have Warri Asaba Ughelli Sapele to name a few. You guys should try and travel a little and stop this nonesense talk of Delta being underdeveloped. Yes it is underdeveloped when you talk about Other countries aside Nigeria. But using fellow Nigerian states in discrediting Delta is laughable. Travel and see things for yourself |
Osagyefo98:The question should be, Watin nor de Delta way other southern states get aside Lagos? Bros I’ve travelled and I’ve seen things. Nigeria is under developed , but inside this same Nigeria, Delta state de among the states way de try. |
drololaaof:Bros if you’ve never been to Delta State before please keep mute. Delta is not Bayelsa , Edo , Anambra and the rest. Make una de try travel small |
luluosas:Lol I’m neutral. Let the best candidate win |

The rate at which Nairaland move irrelevant threads to FP when others that has rich content are left behind baffles me. Of what relevance is this info ![]() |
Kentuforchrist:una no get shame cef? Nigerians ! This is irritating |
EVILFOREST:Is his name Donatus? |
You just have to give it to those Bayern players, the players gave their all, A very decent teamwork, pace and control, Goal poachers. This has to be the best team in Europe since the Barcelona team of 2011/2012. |
I have always posited that parliamentary system of government is best for a country like Nigeria that would only take a miracle to ensure true federalism. Where we would have a ceremonial head and a Prime minister in charge of government, in this case our executive becomes part of the legislature ensuring effective legislation. The excesses of executive can be curbed using a vote of no confidence by the parliament and not forgetting the back benchers are always there to criticize and take over if possible. The list is endless. It’s more transparent |
Ignorance indeed is a disease |

As a country we have not been able to enforce our fundamental human right encapsulated in Chapter 4 of our constitution, so i am not surprised that we've not been able to enact laws that doesn't goes in contest with the provision of the African Charter on human and people's right. Same thing occurred in the case of Abacha v Fawehenmi. Nigeria as a country has very bright minds and are naturally intelligent, take the likes of Philip Emeagwali, but we keep voting incompetent individuals to rule us, Nigeria is one country operating Gerontocracy and Kakistocracy, Both combination aren't good for a developing state |

Mryacks:I know you don’t know what a “narrative poem is” |
CEOwatazs:You are interpreting it in its literal meaning... it will take a deep sense of understanding to know what I meant |
Dear COVID-19 It’s been over a month since you restricted all our activities, not minding what we all had in place prior to your outbreak. Initially i thought it was just a temporal stay, but days turned weeks, weeks turned months and we’re still waiting in uncertainty. To say I’m not agitated on how things have turned out is laughable. I wish you never existed, at least not in my generation. What do you stand to benefit in The DEATHS, Those But then I ask, will praying or lamenting bring a solution to this pandemic? “Tongue-tied” But I will keep praying for our front-liners. Guns can kill but same guns can protect. Arrows can kill but can be used for hunting. Dear COVID-19, I ask again, among your numerous maladies, what advantage have you provided ? You’ve done enough, why not leave and allow us use the rest of the year in healing mentally, emotionally and physically? Living right now is scary. Dear Hunger you know we’ve come a long way, why not spare us for now while we focus on combating this stranger called COVID-19? Where are the vaccines ? Oh Humanity! See what you’ve been reduced to. But there’s HOPE, whether sooner or later, Humanity will win the fight against this Virus —————————————————- Indeed when all these are over, I will appreciate life more and be down to earth. Because it’s obvious God is the giver of life and everyone is equal whether rich or poor. Caucasian or Negroid |

Stubbornbazze, if I may ask, what’s the essence of this post ? |
There was a Country |
I believe all these recent happenings in the country as regards markets getting burnt are mere coincidence as I wouldn’t want to believe that it’s a deliberate act by some individuals or having to do with superstition. The Onitsa experience few days ago was really shocking, Its one of the biggest market in the country and the fire hazard destroyed a mammoth part of it. The news travelled very fast and this is the reason any little fire outbreak even in a small shop in any market in the country at the moment is being reported making it seem like there is more to it. Before now, Markets gets burnt everyday and it doesn’t really make the news. Enough of these. My thoughts with those who lost their goods and loved ones in these recent fire hazards. |
I will advice you do a new one, because going to the immigration office to file a report and going through all the processes is stressful and believe me it’s not worth it. But if the need for the retrieval isn’t urgent, then I would advice you go to the immigration office to start up with the retrieval, An Affidavit is needed, NIN ID etc. Also it costs very little or nothing . Although you will have to wait for months just like that of National Identification Number |
i don’t know why politics in most third world countries tend to be very violent, especially in Africa. In all these, the innocent voters tend to suffer it and also are the scapegoats when these political parties are at loggerheads. I think Inec should be more independent and should be able curtail violence and ensure a peaceful election. Our politicians also should try as much as they can to be civil and should know that the lives of citizens is worth more than their selfish ambition |
Life sha. Some persons are just extremely rich while others barely have something to eat. Abi nor be same God create everybody? Some persons will say it’s hard work, so that mechanic in your street or that old carpenter isn’t hardworking? Some will say Grace, so some persons are not qualified for grace hence the reason for them being poor? Others will say you should draw nearer to God, so you mean Mayweather and co are closer to God than that old female evangelist in your street? This life sha, e get as e de go |
