Sports / Re: Manchester City Complete Historic Treble With Champions League Success by Drienzia: 8:08am On Jun 11, 2023
For some reasons, I don’t consider Pep as an exceptional coach like the media portrayed. Any manager to have coached City since the Arab owner took over had always won the EPL. Mancini did, Pellegrini did, unluckily they had just three years each. It took Pep 7yrs to win it with City, it’s possible both previous managers would had done it if they were given same number of luxury years create, dynamite and recreate a stronger team.

The two previous managers built City and left a strong City side with the likes of Toure Yaya, Vincent Kompany, Aguero etc, so it’s safe to say Pep inherited a strong city side and built on it.

Pep is a great coach no doubt but certainly not a tactical genius as the likes of Klopp’s Liverpool, Mourinho’s Chelsea of 2004, and Ferguson’s UTD that created a mountain out of a molehill. For the past 7yrs at City he spent over a billion euros, no manager has spent such in a single spell in a team, so winning the UCL is the barest minimum.

Congratulations to City, and it’s safe to say the EPL is the new farmers league, the reason also is not because of Pep’s brilliance, it’s because football has died not only in England but the entire Europe and we have so many players with no passion but just for the weekly wages. The generation of Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry, Sketel, Puyol, Abidal, Evra, Cole, Henry, Kaka, Lampard, David Villa, Kompany, Chellini etc was the last generation of talent based and passion oriented football.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Zelensky Says 'We Realized That Ukraine Will Not Become A Member Of NATO' by Drienzia: 10:02pm On Mar 15, 2022
It is true that every sovereign Nation has the right to be part of any association they deem fit, However while at it, they must not do so, so much as to affect their neighbor. This is because , where one’s right ends, that’s where the right of another begins. Even the S.40 CFRN 1999, which provided for freedom of association also subjected the rights under the section to S.45 CFRN 1999. We all know that allowing Ukraine to join NATO will bring security threat to Russia and in all reasonability, it is only wise for Putin to act as much as he could to prevent such. No one is preventing Ukraine from joining any international organization, but they must not do so as to affect their neighbor(Russia), same way the United States Government wouldn't be comfortable with a Russia military base in Mexico under the guise of “international association”.

If I have a neighbor adjacent to my house, who happens to bring armed men which are unknown to law to the vicinity or breeds dogs that are capable of causing grievous bodily harm on people without proper prevention from escaping, I definitely will be uncomfortable(for my safety and that of my family) and would report such to the appropriate authorities or do all I can to abate it, not necessarily because I don’t want my neighbor to bring his friends around nor am I against him owning a dog, but because he must not do so as to affect my right. Where Mr A’s right ends, that’s where Mr B’s right begins.

The problem sometimes isn’t really the government. We are so engrossed in disorderliness as a people, even while growing up, we attribute disobedience to bravery. This is the resultant effect as an adult

Sports / Re: Siasia Sues FIFA Over Ban, Demands Refund Of $54k Fine by Drienzia: 7:08pm On Aug 04, 2021
The issue for determination would be, 1)whether or not Fifa has the legal right to issue a life ban on a football coach,
2)Whether or not the law regulating issues of such should be the Swiss Law on bribery

On issue one(1) I stand in the affirmative, the law is that Fifa is the body that regulates all footballing activities in the world, however the caveat in this is that, such regulation is only limited to Football tournaments established by Fifa, thus if the Ban is upheld then it means Siasia cannot participate as a coach or an agent in relation to Fifa controlled football games only.

On issue two(2) I stand in the negative. The international criminal laws of crimes in this situation should be applicable, however since this is always in conflict with the corpus jury of every state, it seems to me that the Law regulating the “place” of where the bribery took place should be applicable in totality I.e, it is the law of the country where Siasia is alleged to have accepted bribe that should regulate the issue. The applicability of the Swiss law for me is a breach of not just his fundamental right but a blatant slap on “due process”

It is on this ground that I lay my argument that, Samson Siasia’s issue was not properly handled.

Somebody has over 18million followers. These followers are not just nigerians, there is also other nationals, brands, MNOs, and probably presidents sef. Whatever your contradicting opinion is, it doesn't change this fact. Rather than diss or be hatin on him cos he has leverage and still remains one of Nigeria's biggest brand when it comes to entertainment, just FEM and let him be. So when your time comes too, the whole world won't be your antagonist.
Typical Nigerian. Hating on your Davido because of what? Me and Davido de drag woman ? Or are we competiting? Why is someone with 18M followers having same profile engagement(numbers of likes on Instagram photos and views on videos) with someone with 11M ? Bring your analysis. Nobody is hating on anyone .

Nobody is saying he is not a big artiste or limiting his achievements , I am just being factual as regards this subject matter

Your context is limited to your perception of Nigerian popularity.

Yemi has carved a nitch for pan African music that makes her appreciated (not necessarily musically) by people from all over Africa.

FYI

Following on Instagram is not necessarily about your level of talent or musical success.

Its has more to do with your total appeal and "likeability". This will be shown in skits, pictures, or videos the Audience can relate with.

Hence no surprises for the likes of tekno, davido, or even Yemi.

The likes of wiz and burna take themselves a tad too serious IMO.
Finally a well detailed , mature and dissenting view without throwing tantrums.

But come to think of it. If these followers are true like you stated, why aren’t they involved in Yemi’s social media activities? It’s only bought followers that are dormant to such a large extent . You can’t have 12.8M followers with barely 150k views on your Instagram videos!

Wizkid rarely post contents. His strategy is simple. He keeps his fans "hungry", starves them for weeks, sometimes months without posting anything about his music or private life. That's how he gets his huge likes whenever he manages to post. If dem born am well, make e post like Davido. That 700k likes go turn 17k likes.

Doesn't mean Yemi Alade's followers or fans are fake. Last time I checked, one of her music videos is number 5 on the list of most viewed videos on YouTube Nigeria in 2020. 'Yemi Alade's Johnny's got 127 million views on YouTube. Your Wizkid is nowhere to be found from number 1-15. Davido's "Fall" is No. 1 with 190 million views.

No be everything be FAKE.
This is not about YouTube views , it’s about instagram!

Most of them with bought followers. You know fake followers by the amount of the likes they get on photos and views on videos. Yemi Alade with 50k likes with 12.8M followers? While wizkid with 11.7M having up to 700k likes. Davido also is not left out. I think that of Falz , Olamide , Simi , Donjazzy and wizkid are more realistic.

see this one,so you're happy Delta state is following the thread of underdevelopment in Nigeria and you're proud of it.you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting failure the current and past leaders of the state has caused. no sane person would be happy with the level of development in Delta state currently with huge amount of money they've gotten from oil proceeds in the past 20 years. mind you I am from Delta state and yes I am pained with the level of underdevelopment in the state compared to akwa ibom, Lagos and some other state that are doing well in Nigeria.
Here we go again. Please is Akwa Ibom a developed state ? You’re so so stupid, don’t quote me again. Nigeria is underdeveloped. You can’t downplay Delta at the expense of Akwa Ibom an underdeveloped State in an underdeveloped country. All these fellow with inferiority complex get out from my mention

Why does Delta State avoid Julius Berger in terms of road construction for a state that has a lot of riverine communities?

Warri ~ Abraka ~ Agbor (uncompleted)

Ughelli ~ Asaba (uncompleted)

Rain has not started but many communities are already under water.
Must everyone use Julius Berger? , please what are the areas or communities under water now? Can same be said of other southern states ? Or is it just Delta?

What Oshiomole did in Edo during his tenure trumps all Ibori,Uduahgan and Okowa did.

Now this is what most people don’t understand because they keep deceiving others who refused to travel. Now in Nigeria , most states run a centralized system of Development, this therefore entails that all major development a centered in a single city! In Rivers State for example, Porthacourt city is the only developed place, if you go to places like Etche, Kalabari, Andoni, there is nothing to write home about, even Agbarho is better than it. Now in Bayelsa, I don’t even want to talk about it, it’s just sad. This same Akwa you are talking about has only UYO!, but in Delta state, we have Warri, we have Effurun, we have Ughelli, we have Asaba, we have Sapele. These decentralized developing areas cannot be found in other states that come here to use their state capital in making comparison! Imagine if all development in the aforementioned areas were centered in Warri? Now you have your answer . Only Lagos and partially Abuja stands out in Nigeria, the rest are crap!

Can you in anyway compare Delta state to Akwa Ibom?
Can you ?!
Even Edo state is far better in terms of roads and schools talk more of hospitals.
I didn't particularly mention Rivers because you will say it's an old state.

The governor is simply trying to curry favour.
From James Onanefi Ibori to Uduagha to Okowa Delta state has not been on the lead which she ought to.

I really ashamed that my Niger delta sister state is like this .
