There are a lot of factors;

+ Corruption
+ Bad governance
+ Lavish spending habit (without saving)
+ Lack of education
+ Minimal innovation
+ Improper investment... etc.

Personally, I think portability is a factor to consider. Most people move about a lot, so they would like something portable to carry along.
Also, I think Razer has the best gaming phone, right?
