Luchiana1:hello Luchiana1 . follow this link . it has answers to any questions u may have . http://www.college-optometrists.org/en/qualifying-as-an-optometrist/UK_Registration/index.cfm |
I am an optometrist practicing in the UK. Optometry as a profession is very encouraging and financially rewarding esp in a developed country . the major problem limiting the health care sector in Nigeria is folks not knowing their boundaries. Optometrist want to do the job of an ophthalmologist. the ophthalmologist disrespect optometrist. this crates a messy environment . specialization in optometry includes Low Vision, Ocular Disease, Pediatrics/Binocular Vision, sport vision or Contact Lenses .To take responsibility for more pathological cases away from the ophthalmologist which is a positive thing which i encourage, then it is important for optometrist to under go further training in areas like glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal abnormality ocular pharmacology etc . This is the right thing to do if patient care is to come 1st. |
Nekai:well spoken Nekai. sound like a very smart lady. now i wish u were in Scotland , would have loved 2 take u go c a movie. now, back 2 the topic. true, a good job, nice crip, car etc can definitely burst anyone's confidence. but the time frame to get so much attention is 2 short. and y is it just 9ja girls. i have female friends from other part of the world but my new status appears irrelevant 2 them . we still talk and hang out the same way . i still believe majority of 9ja girls are so materialistic. as they say , there is nothing any1 can do about it. we all have 2 accept it . |
i got a dream job with fantastic package and suddenly, most of my 9ja female friends , even those i barely talk 2 is showing me love. asking me strange questions like, ' have you eaten', 'how are your folks doing', ' have you heard from your mum', etc. I have honestly told very few people about the job, just 5 close friends. how they know is beyond me. so if i lose my job, i will b back 2 square 1. lol. chics. God will help guys o . |
please please please STOP CALLING IBB AN Evil Genius. THERE IS NOTHING , ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GENIUS ABOUT HIM. EVIL , YES. BUT DEFINITELY NOT A GENIUS. |
chosen04:. it might b tricky 2 get the answer on goggle becos we all know goggle isnt a reliable source for information . just jargon. give me a recognized political search engine and i will b happy 2 find out myself. however, 2 save us the time, could u kindly tell me who BBC and SKY supported in the Uk ELECTION . , CNN also if u dont mind. anyways, boycott may not b the answer. i guess the best thing is not taking DAAR COMMUNICATION seriously. watch other stations as well. read more papers and make an informed decision. |
@ CHOSEN 04, u r being realist here and i respect that . i am trying 2 b factual . what is wrong is wrong. come on 2 openly support a candidate is pushing it. just curious , who did CNN support in the USA election? who did SKY, BBC support in the UK election? |
@ CHOSEN04, seriously i dont care abt u . all i am interested in is your view on the topic. so if what i said got u angry, i apologize. that wasnt the intention. lets argue like civil people and focus more on the topic. i didnt get what u were trying to say when u said , 'So if Obama is not advocating boycotting of Fox news why is this threadstarter doing so against AIT?' does Obama dictate what we do ? it is not rocket science. MEDIA HOUSES SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN POLITIES BECOS THE MASSES DEPEND ON THEM FOR CORRECT AND HONEST INFORMATION TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. IT DOESNT MATTER IF ITS PRIVATE OR GOVERNMENT OWNED. |
IBB MUST REALLY THINK NIGERIANS R STUPID . PEOPLE SAY HE IS A VERY SMART GUY. I DO A LOT OF READING AND AFTER GOING TROUGH EVENS SURROUNDING IBB, ITS OBVIOUS THE GUY WASNT SMART. HE WAS JUST BRUTAL, SELFISH , MYOPIC AND PLAIN STUPID . OFCOS, IF ANY1 BELIEVES IBB WAS GOOD 2 NIGERIA, THEN, BY ALL MEANS VOTE 4 HIM. 4 ME, I WILL NEVER NEVER VOTE 4 HIM. GEORGE BUSH ONCE SAID,, ' FOOL ME ONCE , SHAME ON U . FOOL ME TWICE , SHAME ON ME'. |
@ Chosen04, 1st i feel u r very rude and verbally abusive . it may b a reflection of your level of exposure and education . back to the topic. i think it is wrong 4 any media house 2 openly support a particular candidate over the rest. u may argue that a good number of the candidates r corrupt. however, the media should give people the opportunity to decide who 2 vote in2 office. just becos FOX news is anti - Obama , that doesnt mean they r right. media houses should b honest and not partial. when AIT was heavily in debt, just like many other Nigerians, i paid in some money into their account. if i knew they would turn around 2 play polities, i would never have wasted my money. For the fact Nigerians ultimately play cool at the end of the day, that doesnt mean we r fools. God being on our side, things can only get better. I SUPPORT A BOYCOT OF Daar Communications (AIT). the only problem is, if we all do this , they lose income and jobs may b lost. The best option is not taking his words serious. we could hear Raymond speak, but try not 2 listen to anything he says. |
thats the link below the post . but i dont think there is proof. but if its true, then we a lot 2 fix in NFA |
Fifa was warned before this year's World Cup of fears that Nigeria's team could be vulnerable to match-fixing, the BBC has learned. An investigator for Uefa raised concerns, including suspicions over betting patterns. Nigeria went out of the tournament in the first round, losing to Greece. World governing body Fifa does not deny receiving a warning but say it has "no indication" of match-fixing in any World Cup matches. Anger BBC Newsnight understands an investigator working with Uefa first became suspicious during qualifying rounds of the World Cup. It is alleged that certain Nigerian players came forward and said their team was vulnerable to manipulation. On the morning of Nigeria's first match, he alerted Fifa's new Early Warning System, set up to look for signs of match-rigging, of his concerns. After Newsnight was aired Fifa responded, saying no information provided by any informant relating to potential match-fixing at the tournament has had any substance. A statement said: "Fifa and the Early Warning System (EWS) have a network of informants from which we receive information. "Of course, as you may understand, we will not disclose the identity of the informants. What we can say is that at least until today no information provided by the informants to Fifa in relation to any potential match-fixing activities during the 2010 Fifa World Cup have proved to have any substance. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8805137.stm |
buccaneer7:hahahahah. dude u r so funny . and your point is valid. |
Onchedu:hahahahahah. 'Abi Leave' says it all |
i have a girl i really like. ok initially, i didnt come out clean on how i felt abt her. she started creating these scenario of every guy is after her ( which was smart i must confess) and it worked. i felt insecure d and I opened up 2 her. now she is over doing it . she doesnt know when 2 stop even wen I tell her 2 stop. mayb she really enjoys flirting and might just cause me more harm than good. so do i just walk out now b4 i get 2 involved and save me the stress cos I have no time 4 dis crab . or do i just stick around and see how it plays out . ? |
this reminds me of a verse in 1 of my top songs. its by will smith . 'just the 2 of us' goes like this: ' One day some girl's gonna break your heart And ooh ain't no pain like from the opposite gender Gonna hurt bad, but don't take it out on the next, son Throughout life people will make you mad Disrespect you and treat you bad Let God deal with the things they do Cause hate in your heart will consume you too ' trust me its not very easy 2 get a decent chic. but when you find 1, u will realize it was worth the effort. |
Amodu should be sacked. I see nothing wrong in getting a foreign coach. This our country self. Our things r always different. Big countries with powerful leagues have foreign coaches. England has an Italian coach. Portugal had a Brazilian coach, Russia has a Dutch coach……etc. the guy is not technically sound for a team like the super eagles. We need to tell our self the truth. I don’t care if we get a black, blue, white or yellow coach. He knew Ghana was going to play with only one striker and yet he still went on to play with one striker when he should have gone for two. . y put players that aren’t fit. |
asha 80:u r one crazy guy |
well anyway, i am a Nigerian by chance and not by choice. there must have been a mix up some where. its time i fix it. |
felifeli dude, u right, London is crazy. i stay in Scotland. lot cheaper here. don't get me wrong, i never said it easy esp when u r illegal. . its never easy anyway. what do u expects folks 2 do. stay back home . if the enviroment isn't proving any option 4 them and they r willing 2 work hard then they should go 2 a place where they may make it. abroad doesn't only mean UK. could b anywhere. some where they can use their skills. |
tensor777 (m) , dude, i wasn't talking 2 u. just responding 2 tkb417 's reply 2 my earlier post . OK |
@tkb417 (m) thanks for your polite reply OK, maybe i have been in d UK 4 so long. can u tell me how 1 can legally make 3million in 3 years? i have friends who do security work here and make close to 1300pounds a month. now, i must confess they dont particularly love their job but they have a focus. they share room with fellow Nigerians. so pay less for accommodation. they stay out of trouble, and r very disciplined. so they live on say 400 pounds a month. now if things work out well , and they don't get deported, we a talking abt close to 8million in 3 years. i dont know the value of 8million naria now in 9ja, but its not rocket science that it would go a long way in helping 2 start up a business without having 2 call any1 chairman. |
as far as i am concerned, we r Nigerians by chance and not by choice. OK, we r Nigerians living in Nigeria. and by definition, we r termed legal. what benefits do we enjoy as legals in our country. lets don't pretend. people come here (UK) 2 work their ass out 2 make reasonable money invest back home. these investment will not only secure their future and that of their families, it would also help Nigerian as a whole by offering jobs. so who ever is saying folks shouldn't find ways 2 come here is only myopic. look as the big picture my advice is this. hustle and find a way 2 UK. if u do come, u need 2 work hard under very harsh condition for abut 3 yrs. b discipline and u will make reasonable money 2 invest back home. i know folks that were illegal, made money and have returned home and opened business. there is no way they would have legally made such money in 9ja. |
may b and just maybe, its high time we return back 2 military rule. |
xreal, so i take it that ur friends in uk are either criminals or 'area boys'. remember the old say, 'show me your friends and i will tell u who u r' get a life bro gudluck |
skfa1 , like? ![]() ok, i remember, NEPA |
hahahahahahaa ![]() haba Gamine, chris-J arrange her Laptop abeg. gudnite folks |
chris_j safe trip bro |
Allta bro, wetin "Ko easy man"! "Ako nfa gburu ni JD yi ni man"!! mean? i dont want 2 say it 2 some1 and the person gets offended. |
Gamine , tell me, what would u have said 2 her? i believe i was very polite. just 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, in a new country and she wants a laptop. Na me b her father? did she even care if i had a job , paid my fees etc lets not pretend like we dont know the picture folks back home have of UK. that's the motivation behind the unreasonable demands and if we say we dont have, they sing the same old song 'Nigerians In The UK Are So Stingy'. |
Gamine , so u telling me is reasonable 2 ask a friend just 3 months 2 his studies in UK 2 send u a laptop? haba, b honest . i think its not only unreasonable but irresponsible and wicked. |
