Having been a product of both the Polytechnic and University systems, I would say the HND does not compare to the Bsc. Gone are the days when we would be debating that Poly students are better than Uni students. We are in the real world now and the facts are clear that there is no debate on which is superior qualififcation. In America, HND is the equivalent of a High School Certificate. You would need a PGD before even thinking of an MSc. The self esteem is affected as you will have to work twice as hard to earn what BSc holders are getting easily. At the end of the day it all boils down to what an individual wants in life. 1 Like |

Matured dudes dreaming of marrying that flashy undergraduate should please beware. My 38 year old friend has proposed and been engaged to three different undergraduates in the last 7 years. He's a nice guy but obviously doesn't know where to shop. He's always dating students against popular advice and keeps getting dropped after they drain his bank account. Most recently, he paid a surprise anniversary visit to his 21 year old fiancée's hostel on campus only to discover that she was out servicing her regular "aristo" for the weekend. He waited till she was dropped off and confronted her about her whereabouts. She turned the tables on him and accused him of invading her privacy, tossed his ring in the dirt and left with the aristo. My guy picked his ring and drove back to Lagos crying like a baby. Most campus and NYSC girls I've met are too adventurous and will beg you smash them anywhere in public just for fun ( I've really suffered in this life sha). I have had to beg and preach my way out of several such situations with them. To them bleeping is just another game like Ludo or Scrabble.  My 2 cents is that the undergrads are at an exploratory stage in their life and it could be equally unfair to tie them down to serious commitments such as marriage. |

Don't be too quick to judge. Even if it was advertised at 70k, the scammer will still scam him. Let's be sensitive when we make comments. Its like saying any lady who encountered Stephanie Okereke`s brother online deserved to be devoured in real life. I hope OLX knows their site has been used to perpetrate evil and is a scam channel for some unscrupulous Nigerian youths who see nothing wrong in fleecing their fellow Nigerians of their hard earned cash. Even in America, Nigerians residing there have become master scammers across all social networks its just pity what we have become, "a cursed nation". The average Nigerian is just fraudulent. My 2 cents. @OP, you could trace the scammer by involving the police to approach his bank or mobile operator with the numbers listed. However, since it is just 10k, I don't know if you wanna go through all that trouble for petty theft (the scammer must have been banking on this, imagine scamming 20 people of 10k a day for 30days, that's 6 million naira monthly, 72 million naira annually. choi OLX!) |
