This story aside and on another note, a lot of young ladies will tell you "He's my maga, he's been toasting me and I'm only chopping his money". This is a game most young ladies have played. It's a fun game, just chop and move on to the next mugu but the game could potentially turn deadly if you play it with a psychopath. This game has been the genesis of most rapes and crimes of passion where the lady felt she was just playing a game with a dumb guy. Then the "used guy" decides to humiliate her or collect his pound of flesh the first chance he gets her alone. This is why rapists will say, "she is my girlfriend" and the lady will say something else. Two friends with patient boyfriends eventually lost their virginity to married men who they were "playing with just for fun, trips and cash". The men eventually forced themselves on the ladies after a light kissing session. The ladies then came back to tell their boyfriends stories of rape. Ladies please don't put yourself at risk, not everybody is a human being abeg. Not in any way justifying these crimes of passion but just a note caution to ladies that play games on men they do not want to marry. |

lammygloooooooo:Reduced ke, u never start. Anyway happy sales. |
@OP, Your story is quite similar to mine. i actually took half my salary to join an MNC for growth purposes only to get the shocker of my life. I met harsher Job conditions, longer hours, stress, traffic, rude colleagues, career stagnation and worst of all financial struggle which I never faced at my former work place where I was earning double. Even at my former job I had offers to double the double coming from mid size firms which I rejected despite their pleas. Today, i am filled with regrets everyday I go to work but cant quit because im stuck . Moral of the story is that the grass is always greener on the other side. Stay in Abeokuta till the right offer comes. The Lagos job is not the right offer for now. |
I've got 1.5m cash payable this week. Meoler@gmail.com |
I was almost moved to tears reading this article. This story is very real and yes, Nigeria has gotten to this level. Someone I know with 7 kids distributed his kids amongst relatives months ago in the guise of summer holiday and has refused to come get them several despite calls and ultimatums from relatives yet the dude is still playing hide and seek with his kids to ease the financial burden of feeding them daily. In a country where petty criminals get burnt alive for steal maggi cubes is it not justifiable that our politicians should be the ones at the recieving end? The story of the woman that stole baby food from an upscale supermarket to feed her starving baby some weeks ago comes to mind. This is not what life is supposed to be and Nigerians need to demand more from their leaders and hold them accountable. How a sitting president will be traveling all over the place and jailing the opposition yet turn a blind eye to the hunger ravaging his country is beyond my imagination. One thing is for sure, at this rate It will be several years before APC wins another presidential election....Nigerians cannot be fooled again. Enough is enough. |
seunmsg:To imagine he was owing 11bn yet was criticizing the bailout that states would recieve to pay salaries reeks of sheer hypocrisy. He's lost his criedibility as Mr common sense and needs to keep quiet from now on. Shikena! |

emmykk:This made me think |
At this point I'm tempted to ask if Nigeria will ever be good again. This APC government has truly failed us. Little did we know that they had no plans for the country. |
bright007:He is most definitely from Delta State. Once a crime is committed by a fellow whose name doesn't sound northern or southwestern it becomes automatically Ibo. No wonder these name checkers only know 3 tribes. |
afroxyz:This just says it all |
Empty threats from hungry attention seekers...nothing of such will happen tomorrow as they just want to create panic in the polity. How can someone say they will bomb all military installations in the country at the same time?? Even The US with their drones have not been able to bomb all known ISIS strongholds and some keyboard warrior thinks he'll just wake up and declare war on the Nigerian state when the location of any missile launch can be easily triangulated and leveled in minutes. I urge all Nigerians to remain calm, nothing dey happen. |
ebig21:I concur |
eleko1:They should leave my Greenland please. Years of investment cannot go to waste in one fell swoop. |

Seyi Law should apologize to the guard, pure and simple! You simply oppressed the poor man because he didnt want to lose his job on the spot. Can u slap a random agbero on the street? You knew u had the upper hand and u chose to degrade a fellow man while your fellow celebs are busy lifting up "Olajumokes" and "Windshield cleaners". Im highly dissapointed with this act and it just shows how high handedness set in because of a little cash. Why will Eko Hotel call you back when in d hospitality business the customer is always right....they just took your sh*t and moved on. |
smart2008:Gbam thats the answer. |
When David Cameron called us corrupt some people chose to attack him but was he telling the truth?...sadly yes. I've never been more ashamed of being Nigerian till I read this news. I've faced all sorts of insults and harassment abroad for being Nigerian and chested it but this story makes me weak. Ordinary funds to save lives some people sat and shared it. I'm left to conclude that the average Nigerian is just crook anywhere you place them. It's just sad. |
4.2m for Naija used? Mods move this thread to the jokes section. |
Wizkid has given Linda a technical knockout (TKO) and reduced her bride price all in one blow. Now she knows how it feels to have your business aired out in public...true or untrue. She's been going hard on Wizkid all these years and he was bound to react. See all the people viewing this thread sha

Cyojunior:I love your writing. This socially conscious story can be adapted into an award winning novel or movie. Do you have a blog where we can read more? |
AntiWailer:Having read about her alleged affair with the Pastor, it is easy to see why even marriage could not heal the damage caused by that relationship. A lady friend of mine moved to the church after having family issues and after a month with the pastor she swore never to go to a church again with what her eyes saw. The evil that men do lives after them truly. |
This quote below is just the truth and no matter how little inconvenience we as Nigerians may be feeling right now, we must realize that God saved this country from certain doom had the last administration continued. Shekau waxed bold everyday under the last administration and even launched a brazen attack to take Aso Rock. Imagine? The military was demotivated and unarmed officers who ran to save their lives on the battle front were sentenced to death under the same GEJ regime that diverted and shared the funds for the very arms the officers were to use to fight insurgency. Talk about saying one thing and doing another. GEJ, Dasuki and NOI should be in Jail for this singular act of treason alone. Today, BH occupied territories have shrunk, Shekau is downcast and BH has lost their steam. When last did BH have the effontry to bomb FCT or the police HQ for that matter? Though BH attacks have been largely limited to Borno state Nigerians need to realize that though the change has been slow, there is indeed change. A friend in the civil service complained bitterly of not having any money to divert as most loopholes have been blocked. The fact is that there is little money to steal in government now. The crime rate in Lagos has dropped drastically too. Restructuring the economy will not take a day and I don't think a year is enough to restore 16 years of damage and economic plunder. I'm sure even Fashola the magician will be sweating while trying to unravel the level of systemic decay in the power sector. We need to be patient and not complain like the Israelites did in the wilderness asking rather to go back to Egypt as slaves because they faced little inconveniences on their way to greatness. Even the bible says that the double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. The economic slowdown due to falling oil prices is not affecting only Nigeria; Russian, China and Venuzuela to name a few are also affected. I believe that the seeds of greatness have been sown and should be allowed time to grow for us to enjoy the fruits of our labour. God Bless Nigeria. ziccoit: |

To paraphrase, naija's longest surviving group is finally dead. RIP Pqsuare. This is nothing new it happened to Stylplus, Remedies, Plantation boys, Trybesmen , Dbanj and Don Jazzy. One person always strikes out and feels they can make it on their own. It appears that Peter has been plotting this script for the last 3 years since he got married. All I can say is I hope they both have savings cos they are gonna need it. |
I don't bother commenting on Psquare topics but I have to say that their PR team have been playing Nigerians for fools and having a good laugh while at it. Anything to keep trending just like the Kardashian family. After all Nigerians love Watching Telemundo and Africa magic so give them some drama to talk about. It's funny to see people begging Psquare to stay together on IG. People need to stop taking these people seriously. |
ABSU has always been like this. I dey fear ABSU products whether male or female. On another note there needs to be some regulation of the Nigerian social media. You'll never see a foreign website displaying human remains they way it's done in Nigeria. There is no consideration for the families of the deceased as bloggers just want to draw traffic to their sites using shock therapy. Listing a thread as graphic does not mean that one has to upload gruesome pics with no form of censorship. Nigerians have become numb to seeing blood. The government needs to clamp down on errant bloggers. @Seun, this trend should not continue without some level of censorship. |
