stephenduru: Former President Goodluck Jonathan, wife, Patience Jonathan and his mother suffered card reader malfunctions while trying to get accredited today at the Bayelsa governorship election.
The family had to return home, and came back an hour later, when Jonathan and Patience were successful, but not the mother.
The sweating Jonathan said that he wasn’t worried about the malfunction and described it as a little delay.
“President Jonathan is just one person, so if we have problem with one person, as far as the elections is going on well nationally,” he said. “I’m not worried, there might be a delay, my interest is that we conduct a credible election.”
He said that no sacrifice was too much for the nation and told eager voters to be patient with the electoral body and make sure they get accredited. dat is how a stateman should behave. Not like dat ota ape way dey go up n down screaming like a madman. |

Abuja 9:12am Saturday 5, 2015. In a bit to save himself and his image as a man of intergrity and global repute to the international community, Obasanjo had issued series of warnings to President Buhari about the latter's plan to fight corruption beyond the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan. In a statement issued by his media assistant, Mr Obasanjo warned that going back in time to probe prevous administrations will spark an unending volcano that could lead to the explossion of Nigeria. According to Mr Obasanjo President Buhari shouldn't embark on a journey he can't finish or bring to a logical end, saying sleeping dogs should be left alone. It would be recalled that President Buhari, following the backdrop of the $2 billion arms deal investigations expressess his resolved to probe the administartions of Ibrahim Babangida, Sani Abacha, Abdusalam Abubakar, and Olusegun Obasanjo, all of whom had military ties to root out corruption. President Buhari's commitment to probe beyong the Goodluck Jonathan's era was coming at the hills of investigations by reputable investigators which descovered that 85% of Nigeria's stolen wealth were pepetrated pre Goodluck Jonathan era. Politics › Buhari's Stone Age Policy Hindering Sale Of Infinixnote2(big6) In Nigeria! by drss(op): 8:31am On Dec 02, 2015 |
Saw this observation in phone section by a concern person and decided to share it here: FazzyKachi: With what I heard oh. They said PMB importing and exporting policy is making everything difficult via Exporting and importing! Could this be the reason why infinix hasn't started the sales of its most anticipated phone of the year Infinix Note 2! Smh... Now the question is, will the phone still be on sale before this week runs out? if d observations raised by d person above are not true why is infinix note 2 not available in Nigeria despite d lunch? I remember infinix mobility some days back said they were having problems clearing the shipment to nigeria. looks like the newly lunched infinix big6 smartphone will not be arriving nigeria no thanks to buari's policy. |

Politics › Re: Fani-Kayode Writes On The ''Killing Of 105 Soldiers By Boko Haram'' by drss(m): 3:01pm On Nov 25, 2015 |
obailala: The Nigerian armed forces (including police) has always been guilty of covering up deaths and injury to their personnel, sometimes I find it hard to comprehend the reason behind these disturbing denials.
However, what I find more disturbing is the rate at which everything in Nigeria is politicised, including human lives and national security. Just last year, we experienced this exact same scenario where soldiers are killed or cities are overrun by insurgence. The military authority always denies it and the FG (for the sake of politics) denies it too. Today we are experiencing the exact same thing except that the FG has switched parties. While all these lasted, the Jonathanians last year were on the defensive accusing anti-jonathanians of sympathising with terrorists by denying the deaths. Now the anti-jonathanians are on the defensive while the jonathanians are excitedly praying and struggling to prove these reported deaths to be true.
I would not forget in a hurry how the Nigerian military authorities and the government just last year blatantly denied a captured airforce pilot, only for the family of the pilot to cry out later. Today we are experiencing same, and Nigerians will never cease to play silly politics with the lives of people. how will dis ranting bring d dead soldiers back to life |

Shymm3x: This falls on the Nigerian government for accepting them. It is unlawful to deport folks like that on a chartered flight.
A lot of the folks they have been sending back to Nigeria since the Tories came to power have been in the UK since they were kids, and they also have kids. All they know is the UK and they are not illegal immigrants. A lot of them just committed serious crimes and once you have been to prison for more than 18months now, if you are not born in the UK - the home office will cancel ya legal status.
A few people I grew up with have also been sent back cos of jail and they were never illegal immigrants. Nigeria is to blame. How these folks will assimilate into a country they haven't been to since they were between age 1-7 is still a mystery to me. are u one of d deportees? Welcome back to d Zoo! |
