Dear Dr I will like to known how to make my eyes white again. As most times is red. I like white eye.

If your eyes are naturally reddish(physiological),there is little or nothing that can be done..but if pathological(as a result of disease or any abnormally),there are treatments available depending on the cause.I will advice you visit a nearby EyeClinic and see and Eye Doctor for a comprehensive Eye test..will like to hear from you after the visit.Thanks

Hello drsteroid,
I feel pain in my temples,sensitive to light and blurred vision sometimes I will try to focus hard to see clearly especially at nights.
I use the PC and phone often .
Any drugs I could use or eye medicines like visionace,maxivision or anyone you really recommend.
Last year I did an eye test and results where astigmatism and longsightedness
And last of all I sometimes feel something blocking my eye sometimes left or right and I will have to close or blink my eyes to see clearly.
Please help!!!

From the case history you just gave,it showed you have been diagnosed of having astigmatism which requires Spectacle (glasses) correction or contact lens..I wil advice you visit your eye doctor and get the required prescription and also make sure the prescription comes with a photochromic and anti reflection coating ,this wil releive you from the frequent temporal headache,blurry vision at distance,discomfort associated with extreme sentivity to light rays,and protection from rays emanating from ur PC and phones.
Frontal,temporal ache are usually frequent symptoms of uncorrected astigmatism and extreme photophobia( extreme sensitivity to light).
Visionace,maxivision which you mentioned all belong to classes of drugs known as antioxidants and multivitamin (supplements) for the eyes,I wil advice you visit your Eye Doctor or a clinic nearby for a comprehensive Eye test for a proper diagnosis to the symptoms of 'covering' usually experienced in one of your Eye relative to the other. I think NCC should have a rethink and temper justice with mercy because this will have a negative effect on our economy and may lead to massive Job loss if MTN decides 2 downsize as a result of this huge fine,and may throw many Nigerians into the labour market.

. since an eye is amblyopic den d refractive power in both eyes definately shld differ (anisometropia ) hence using contact lense in ha case wld b better to prevent xperiencin
disparity in retinal image size (anisekonia ). bt u may hv to wori abt d amblyopic eye turnin stabismic hence causin cosmetic disappeal.

contact lens is advisable and the best option for people with high refractive error,amblyopia,anisometropia(unequal refractive error in both eyes).As long as the child has good tear film quality,stabilty and good blinking rate,maintains good hygiene and obeys other rules and regulations associated with contact lens wear,then she is good to go with CL.

yea its cool,only if she meets all the criteria for using a contact lens.I wil advice she goes for spectacle lenses due to the extreme care and precautions involved in wearing a contact lens.Thanks

Chai! This is a big blow to all the wailers..Falana was a critics of jonathan's govt and was in no support of his 100 percent corruption tolerance,they even went as far as saying Jonathan sacked 3 ministers cos of Corruption related offences.
He came on air to tell us ' America will know if one naira was missing in Nigeria,when deziani was accused of misappopriating $20billion,and even defended stella oduah when she was accused of inflating the price of her official cars..the lists of shielded corrupt govt officials is unending under Jonathan's administration. We can stil remember vividly the saga of abba moro and the immigration recruitment scam..These are people Jonathan defended their shady deals on air,and even postulated the ' Yam and Goat theory' to back all his escapades.
Jonathan's body language and actions supported corruption and for him to have told PMB he was not aware of all the lootings carried out by his cronies attested to how clueless and corruption friendly he was.
Whoever said Jonathan fought corruption by any means should have a rethink,Jonathan's Govt is competing with Abacha's Govt as the most corrupt Govt.

I am a strong supporter of President Buhari,the President should stop chasing shadow and pick his ministers,any delay beyond sept won't be accepted,cos virtually all the sectors are locked down,no new project has been aproved since he got to the helm of affairs.Corruption has been a canckerworm which has eaten deep into all sectors of these country,and can't be eliminated overnight.He can't get any saint 4rm all these Politicians..he needs to look beyond all theses Politicians and past govt Officials.There are many people like Ogbonanya Onu,pastor tunde bakare et al who haven't soiled their hands in corrupt deals,Buhari should look outside the political box and pick technocrats,he doesn't have the whole 4years to look for saints as ministers.
I believe in PMB to right the wrongs of past govt.

No one should toy with his/her eyes..our eyes are the precious gift of nature..try close your eyes for 5secs and see how precious the gift of sight is.
Visit a nearby Eye clinic and see an Eye doctor 4 any complain with the eyes..Neva entrust your eyes in the hands of those who are not trained for it!

poor distance vision can be caused by refractive error or pathology. Its advisable to go for an eye examination for the possible treatment option.There is really no problem with glasses if u ve been told to get glasses,getting a good frame wil actually give u a good outlook.contact lens is also an alternative to eyeglasses provided you can adhere strictly to the rules involved in using one.itching is usually as a result of allergic reaction. refractive error,eye muscle fatigue are the main causes of excessive blinking,irritation,frontal headache and tiredness of the eye.extreme sensitivity to light known as photophobia reduces when using a photochromic lens or sunshade..please,visit an eye clinic nearly 4 a proper diagnosis and treatment

I have visited two specialist. Their finding counter each other. One said it was glaucoma, the other one I approached said, it is not glaucoma. Dat is was an eye infection, he later prescribed some drugs wich I used.
Although, I didn't experience dat for some months now.
Pls, my question is, let us assume is it glaucoma, not seeing the previous sign any more, does it mean the glaucoma has b treated.
Secondly, how can one prevent glaucoma because I knw it is a silent eye problem dat results in blindness.

Good day! Seeing rainbow around luminous objects is usually not a gud sign..it is one of d major symptoms of ocular hypertension or glaucoma..I will advice u see an eye doctor asap 4 a comprehensive eye examination..thank u

Hello drsteroid, I thank you for your good work. After experiencing blurry vision for sometime in my left eyes, I went to a hospital where I saw an eye doctor, and told her about it. She prescribed an eye drop, and ask me to use glasses too. The issue is, she was only focused of the wearing glasses to correct the refractive index, and wouldn't suggest any permanent cure.
I can still see well with the help of the better eye. Pls, what will you suggest that I do. Isn't it true that wearing glasses can weaken your focus more?

4rm the doctor's diagnosis,it shows u have a refractive error most especially in ur left eye,which can only be corrected tru optical aids like contact lens and glasses,and dis will enable u have a better vision.I wil advice u 2 stick 2 ur doctor's advice as there is no iota of truth in glasses weakening focusing ability or causing any damage 2 the eyes.instead it helps prevent refractive error related blindness which has been listed as one of the leading causes of low vision and blindness worldwide.
