Management (senior) staff in oil and gas companies are not members of Pengassan. It is not so from my experience. Yes I know the name has senior staff in it.

These guys are senior staff of all organizations in the Nigerian oil and gas sector. They have more information than you do and they have a right to protect the welfare, remuneration, benefits and working conditions of member staff and job opportunities of Nigerians.

An emergency fund is meant to be fund you draw from as means of last option. You keep it safe and tight, with fool-proof systems in place.
