This year admission will be somewhat tight oo, as schools won't admit more than their giving quota especially medical courses, jamb withdrawed the right to edit the quota of some schools because, they admitted way more than the quota and if those schools admit more than the quota again this year especially into all these professional courses the school will lose accreditation for those courses......

I dey tell you chief...alot of 300+ will also sink along. aspirants just need to be smart with decision making.

Udus will tell you their merit is 280, but if you believe that shii, then you're on a long journey to applied chemistry.
Truth is 287 is supposed to be enough, but the issue is that with 287, you may be the 10th on the list for MBBS from kogi and maybe God helps you only top 5 are admitted then you'd be left with no choice than to manage Agric, Edu etc.
I hate to tell people to change course, but except you're confident and you have terrestrial backings, I'm sorry to say your 287 may not be enough.
During the last admission process, only 4 kogi students were admitted via jamb, the rest made it in via Matric and I'm not sure their totality is up to 8. I can suggest BDS, Pharmacy, MLS, and Nursing. Those courses have a good number of Kogites with scores in this range and less of yours.
you've said all already.

provide he's from kogi, he's on a safe side.

The worst that could happen is for Udus to give him BDS
he can't even be given BDS..not like last year when people were moved to the course cus it's a new course. if he doesn't change he'll have to settle for Vet med, applied chemistry or education courses. it's an advice and I'm saying this from experience.

bro u stand a very good chance.

Disregard all this folks trying to downside ur score.
I was an aspirant of pharmacy last year, udus with a 235 score but I was denied admission, cuz I didn't attain the cutoff *260

But another aspirant with same score was admitted. Cuz he was from catchment area. *Benue

Nb: kogi is under udus catchment. U stand a good chance
you're still an aspirant but I'm a student. what's your point?
check my quote..I told him it's ok but it's very risky to avoid been changed he should change to the courses I mentioned. by the way kogi is not catchment of udus..only kwara from the north Central and virtually all the northwestern state. thank you.

Oga, kogi state is super competitive... That score is too low for MBBS from Kogi state.
I advice you change course or school. If not UDUSOK will change the course for you to applied chemistry or biology
Even with 300+ sef still some kind of risky too. unless he can play his card well.

you're udus student right?

bolaji1023:
Any udusok medical student here.is 287 enough to study mbbs from kogi state
yes it's ok. but you must understand udus admission is by state by state and they pay more attention to their catchment state...and kogi is not among their catchment area. so personally I'll advice you to change to dentistry, pharmacy, MLS, nursing, radiography or vet med. I can beat my chest that you'll be given those ones I mentioned.

it's very risky with that score. big risk!!!

Fine drvt I just said that he could use it as just practice with the Invisible teacher by Dele Ashade right? You didn't tell him about General Knowledge
when other aspirant are crashing English textbooks back to back. general knowledge questions is just 3 or 4 at most out of 50.. English questions is more 40 questions, maths is just about 2 or 3 questions. well, you have a good mind he can as well study that but he should expect otherwise.

Even if it's from the VC of unilorin I'll still disregard it. I'll advice that DE guy to get invisible teacher and A one English and read it through and through he'll score high I'm sure of it. he'll see maths and general knowledge questions but very few. if he needs more advice he can hit me up.

all this post utme past question is fake.
I'll advice that guy to dwell more on English language. 85% of the questions are English questions. the post utme past question above is fake!!! disregard it please I have experience before. just get English text books especially A one English and invisible teacher I can boast 70+ for you. thanks..

I thought you had a 'D' in Biology or was that someone else?

if it was you, unless you're awaiting the current WAEC that's being taken, I advised you forget about admission this year. Without 5 relevant credits in your O'levels, your connect can't do anything, also, unless your connect is 5G, your score will be hard to get you in, irrespective of a good putme score

It might sound like a negative opinion but with students tearing the 340 barrier likes its 280, your score just doesn't measure up with the competition in Federal universities.
"... students tearing the 340 barrier like it's 280, ..."

sorry please I don't understand this part..

ShahRukhKhan:
Lmao. Most of them don't stay behind before náà.. You don't expect them to spend such amount and still be dragging for residency slot in Nigeria. Most actually have the capacity to do the MBBS abroad. Either stringent rules or just wanting to 'use' Nigeria based on how cheap medical education is in the country.
Na Dr. Emeka whey finish for UNN go dey struggle for residency slot in like 5 hospitals. Dr. Amaka Bailey whey finish for Bowen or Babcock don already japa go one state for US.

I'll better not remain in this country grin...after you realise you've spent over 40 million to get a medical degree. grin

I need maximum reply to this post abeg

I am probably just too ahead of myself but I can't help asking this abeg. I am not a medical student yet, although I think I stand a good chance. I have applied and all but still, anything can happen. But I like to plan ahead for things and I am already thinking of life as a medical student. From various things I have read about medical schools by medical students here, I understand I am going to be awfully busy and 24hours will be barely enough when the time comes (and here I am at home thinking of what to do with excessive time I have now..lol) but I can't imagine the thought of being dependent on my sponsor for the next 7 years. It's just so horrible to me. The expensive schools fees, the expensive and numerous books and then my own fine boy upkeep money, accomodation and feeding and other things. So here I am asking current and past medical students, is it ever going to be possible for me to hustle while in medical school to atleast make things easier on my sponsor and make my life eaiser. And also, what kind of hustle can I indulge myself in then that I will have time for. Have you yourself as a medical student done anything like this or seen any medical student hustle for money while in school. Btw, I am 20yrs Old. Thanks.
I know someone that runs a WhatsApp TV in the name of his school..he has nothing less than 10k veiws..he collects 1k per advert and just imagine he makes 3 adverts per day on his status...3k . though it's stressful kind of it's just the sacrifice you'll have to pay. and you need a good phone too apart from your personal phone. I guess it's something you can do too..you just need to be wise in your timing.
