Atk1nson: As some have mentioned, you are unlikely to be granted a visitors visa to the US while still being on a PG visa in the UK, except you probably decide to apply from Nigeria , which also has a low chance of approval without strong ties indicating that you will return. You likely stand a better chance applying from Nigeria though. The UK one on a PG visa is likely an automatic rejection.
As others mentioned also, what makes you believe you will find it better as an irregular migrant in the US if you do not find the UK suitable as a regular migrant? UK is not bad, I just don't like it here |

Best advice to you is to go learn french or check the indemand occupations in Canada express entry ( PR) program. SoftSport: It’s important to approach this situation with a clear understanding of immigration laws and the potential risks involved. Here’s an overview:
1. Applying for the USA Visit Visa Intent: When applying for a USA visitor visa (B-2), you must demonstrate that you intend to return to your country of residence after your visit. Supporting Documents: You'll need strong evidence to show ties to the UK or your home country. This includes: Proof of employment or studies in the UK. Financial stability (bank statements, pay slips). Evidence of accommodation arrangements in the UK or home country.
2. Potential Risks of Overstaying or Changing Intent Overstay Consequences: Overstaying your visa could lead to being barred from re-entering the USA for years. It might also affect future visa applications for other countries, including the UK and Schengen states. Changing Intent While in the USA: Entering on a visitor visa with premeditated plans to stay longer or adjust status (e.g., through asylum or other means) can be considered visa fraud. U.S. authorities may revoke your visa or deport you if they suspect you misrepresented your intentions.
3. Legal Implications UK Graduate Visa: Not returning to the UK could have consequences for any future visa applications to the UK. Your current visa status might also influence how US immigration views your ties to the UK. US Immigration: Misrepresentation during your visa application or at the port of entry could lead to a permanent ban from entering the USA.
4. Best Approach Plan Honestly: If you wish to stay longer in the USA, explore legitimate routes (e.g., applying for a work visa, study visa, or family sponsorship if eligible). Seek Professional Advice: Consult an immigration attorney in both the UK and the USA to understand your options and the legal pathways available. Build Strong Ties: Having clear evidence of ties to your country of residence can strengthen your visa application.
5. Alternative Considerations If you intend to migrate to the USA, research pathways like employment sponsorship, the Diversity Visa Lottery (if eligible), or family-based immigration. This might align better with your long-term goals ìì Thanks man |

Gerrard59: OP,
Let me explain this to you. You are in the UK where almost all American companies have a European branch or headquarters. So, if you cannot make it aka find a good job in the UK with less competition, why do you think it would be possible in the US where the competition is fiercer? Most importantly, it is pertinent to know that obtaining work authorisation to work in the US is difficult with a visit visa except if you want to work under-table jobs. Are you prepared to do so?
*Everything here depends on whether you will issued the visit visa in the first place* I would actually like to enter legally, but then, I feel the Visit visa is easier to get. Thanks for your input 👍 |

ednut1: Your visit visa would be rejected based on lack of ties to the Uk given that your post graduate visa in 🇬🇧 is about to expire. Secondly if you are successful this man is waiting It expires in 2026 |

Hi everyone,
I'm currently living in the UK on my 2 years Graduate visa and I'm planning to apply for a USA visit visa. However, I have no intention of returning to the UK once my visit is over. Can anyone provide advice on the best way to approach this situation? What are the potential risks and legal implications I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for your help! |

The power supply here is more stable than what we have in Portharcourt, but not as stable as what I had read earlier on nairaland concerning this place before I relocated. Some areas get up to 23 hrs power supply in Osogbo e.g Tinumola Estate |
