Politics / 2019: In A Bold Move, Ibrahim Lajada Declares For President by dryx007(m): 3:17pm On Nov 07, 2017
2019:In A Bold Move,  Ibrahim Lajada Declares For President

By Jonathan Nda- Isaiah

In what could be described as a bold move, Ibrahim Abubakar Lajada has declared his intention to contest for the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) .

With his declaration, Lajada becomes the  first person to openly declare his intention to contest the presidential election in the APC.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari has not declared his intention to go for a second term  in 2019 as Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha recently declared that there is no automatic ticket for the President as he has to slug it out in the primaries with other candidates.

Making his intention known yesterday, Lajada said Nigeria has become a laughing stock among the comity of nations because of economic mismanagement.

Describing Nigeria as a  nation of paradox, he added that a nation with human and natural resources that should be competing at the same level with developed nations yet crying for handouts from those nations .

At 34 years, Lajada wants to emulate France and Australia where candidates  below 40 took over the reigns of government.

Lajada whose campaign organisation has already had 31 million Nigerians signed up already, said his focus is on Nigeria as a  priority and this brings clarity and guidance to addressing the current economic and social situation of the country.

According to him, after a lot of soul searching and careful pondering over the state of the Nigerian nation and it's inability to unlock it's potential, has decided to throw his hat into the ring to contest the Presidential election in 2019.

He said his mission is to have a unified country where the people are secure, power is decentralised and economically viable..

He said " As such, emphasis will be on unifying the country, addressing security and economic issues and ensuring that there is accessible and affordable healthcare for the people of Nigeria.

" Confronted by a nation whose national fabric have been weakened by failed political promises creaking beneath a burden of wild expectations from battered citizens, my strategic plan is anchored on a vision of hope and a mission for renewal for all and sundry.

"Nigeria's troubled economy is in recession, which is expected to worsen following the inability of President Buhari to steer it otherwise .

"Thousands of people are losing their jobs and there is tremendous hardship all over the country. Unemployment, insecurity, the deplorable power supply and fuel scarcity are urgent concerns that are yet to be addressed. The  economic and security situation will threaten Buhari's ability to implement the widespread reform he promised.

" Crude oil, the backbone of Nigeria 's economy is no longer the commodity it was internationally and the recent dip in oil prices is primarily the cause of the country 's current economic predicament. As a result, Buhari administration must concentrate on revenue generation.

"The government must seek revenue through other mean such as sales tax or government fees. There is a great opportunity for our country to diversify the country 's economy due to collapse in oil prices, however it appears that improving the economic situation by creating more jobs in multiple sectors of the economy outside the oil industry is beyond Buhari's span of knowledge," he stated.

Politics / Restructuring, Biafra And Secession by dryx007(m): 3:39pm On Jun 09, 2017
The three most popular words in the country right now are restructuring, Biafra and Secession. The country is tethering on an edge and the gun has been loaded, the safety pin has been released, it’s just a matter of time before the bullets go off.
The call for restructuring has grown louder in the last two years mainly by people who have lost out in the power game and some as a campaign tool for 2019. Most of the proponents of restructuring are telling us that’s the magic wand that will solve our problems. Restructure and all our problems will be over, we will be competing with UAE and America and to them, it’s that simple and without restructuring, the country is headed to Armageddon. They argue that when we restructure, we will start producing leaders like Barack Obama, Lee Kuan Yew and Wiston Churchill- it’s that simple.
While this sounds good, the motive for most of the proponents of restructuring is just pure mischief. Most of the people calling for the restructuring of the country are from the south. It is instructive to note that in the 18 years of democracy, the south has held sway for 13 years and in those 13 years, I didn’t hear calls for restructuring, maybe they were whispering it then and now that they are out of power, they are blowing the trumpets.
On the other hand, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar whose middle name is now restructuring, is championing the cause for his 2019 ambition. It’s a given that Atiku will contest the 2019 elections, and as a smart politician, he knows the south is all for restructuring and given that the North is his home base, he is good to go. The last time I checked, Atiku was vice president for eight years and throughout those eight years, restructuring was just a word for him, maybe he has seen the light but rule number one – never trust Nigerian politicians.

On the other hand, I support the devolution of powers to the state. We should have a state police even though most of our rogue governors will abuse the state police. States should negotiate their minimum wage, you don’t expect a state like Lagos and Zamfara to be paying the same minimum wage.

Our problem has never been restructuring, our problem is a leadership problem, when we restructure, we are not bringing angels to govern us, it’s still these same set of Nigerians that will rule. Those who are advocating that we should go back to regions are not just being realistic. This is 2017 and not 1960.

The misconception in the south is that everybody in the North is Hausa – Fulani. It is instructive to note that the Adamawa and Taraba axis have more than 70 tribes, more than the whole of the tribes in the south west and south east put together.  Minority tribes in the North like the Nupe, Igala, Idoma, Tarok, and Jukun will not want to be under any regional government in fact, Idoma people in Benue have not given up on getting their Apa state.
That brings me to the issue of Biafra, the Igbos have been crying of marginalisation since after the civil war. The issue of Biafra was a forgotten issue when Goodluck Azikwe Jonathan, their adopted son was president for almost six years. The economic team of former president Jonathan was practically in the hands of Igbos. When President Muhammadu Buhari came into power, the agitation for Biafra was resurrected. When they were no longer getting a piece of the pie, the calls for Biafra became louder, maybe they were observing table manners during Jonathan’s regime which states ‘don’t talk when you are eating.’

Buhari made the leader of Independent people of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu a hero by arresting and keeping him longer than necessary. If he had been ignored by the authorities, he would not be enjoying his cult-like following now. Prominent south east politicians and leaders are now falling over themselves to identify with Kanu. Someone, obviously a clown, took it to a ridiculous height when he claimed he was healed of stomach pains when he shook hands with Kanu. So, apart from being the new political leader of the south east, he is also the spiritual leader of the region.
Whether you like it or not, he is now the new political leader of the south east in their quest for Biafra. My problem with the agitation is how they are forcing other regions to be part of Biafra, the south south has denied several times that they are not part of Biafra, they are dragging Benue and Kogi States into their new Biafra and with the way they are going, they will soon add Lagos and Abuja to the new Biafra map. The last time I checked, the era of colonialism has ended and you can’t force people to join your agitation. I also believe every region or people has a right to self-determination and there are ways to go about it, issuing threats, blackmail or intimidation will not work.
I am also appalled with the way Kanu has been flouting his bail conditions. He has been daring the federal government, acting as if he can do anything and get away with it.

We are all marginalised, the Idoma have never been the governor of Benue State and feel marginalised by the Tivs, in Kogi, it’s the same problem, if you are not Igala, forget about being the governor. Yahaya Bello, an Igbirra man, became governor by stroke of fate. Since 1999, a Christian has not become the governor of Niger State, even though the state boasts of a sizable number of Christians. So, the same story everywhere, one way or the other, we are all marginalised. Why must the three major tribes – Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba produce the president or the vice president? What stops us from having an Igala, Jukun, Itsekeri, Jabba man as president or vice? The three major tribes are marginalising the minority tribes in Nigeria.

On Tuesday, an obviously idle group called the Arewa Youth group gave the Igbos till October 1 to vacate the North.

According to them, “the persistent actualisation of Biafra by the Igbo of south-eastern Nigeria has lately assumed an alarming twist. The new dimension, which involved the call for the forceful lockdown of activities and denying of the right to free movement in south-east by the rebellious Indigenous People of Biafra group, is so disturbingly embarrassing that in our view, calls for a rethink.
The group claims to be speaking for the youths in the north. I am a Northern Youth and they are obviously not speaking for me.

This latest ultimatum brings to the fore the arguments about the unity of Nigeria. I have said it on this page, Nigeria’s unity is a farce. When you read comments by youths on the social media, you will know that the unity of the country is a mirage. Every event is viewed from an ethnic or regional prism, I shudder at the hate and inciting messages on the social media. The social media youth who obviously was not born during the civil war and has not witnessed any war, does not believe in the unity of Nigeria. Nigeria is definitely sitting on a time bomb and it’s ticking fast.

Business / Top 10 Way To Make Money Online by dryx007(m): 3:00pm On May 02, 2016
1. Sell On Ebay, Konga.com,Jumia
One of the ways of making money is selling stuff on e-commerce sites like Ebay, Konga, Jumia and dealdey
You source for products from importation sites like Aliexpress.com, Amazon.com or Wholesale. AliBaba.com. You source for hot selling products like the mosquito Killer Lamps.
EBay, Konga, Jumia have the traffic, so you don’t have to worry about marketing your product beyond creating a good listing, the eye-balls are already there
However eBay is a fantastic way to make quick money, even just as a way to turn your old items into cash to start a new online venture. If you’re brand new to Internet marketing and you don’t know your PayPal’s from your Clickbanks, or your PPC from your SEO, eBay is definitely a great place to learn some basics.

2. Sell products in forums, bulletin boards

You can also sell products and services on sites like Nairaland, , olx.com.

3. Sell products from your own website

You can sell products on your websites. Create your own e-commerce sites and keep 100% of the profits. You can also create niche e-commerce sites. Your website can sell only shoes, intimacy gadgets, autoparts or home improvement materials.

4. Trade forex, stocks and commodities

Another way to make money online is through financial trading. Forex trading need a level of expertise to be successful. Many Nigerians have had their fingers burnt trading the forex market. With the right level of of knowledge, discipline, risk management, forex trading can be rewarding.

5. Sell services
You can sell your services online on sites like fiverr.com, elance.com, gigbucks.com. Services like Web design, graphics design, writing, translation services.

6. Sell services provided by other people

Selling a service is a real option for making money online. The challenge is sourcing good people to do the work, learning what specific offer to make to the market, how to differentiate yourself so you earn good margins, how to market what you offer and how to automate the entire process so it becomes a passive income stream.

7. Paid reviews
This involves inviting people to submit their product, service or website for a paid review. This means they pay a fee like N20,000 and you would write an article about whatever they submitted.

The challenge for you, if this method is relevant to your growth stage, is to create a website where you can command a price for paid reviews that makes it worth your time. Until your traffic is significant, charging more than N5000 for a review is not realistic, so you need to build your website asset first.

8. Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is possibly the single best way to make a living online because it is so hands off, can be automated easily enough and can deliver some incredible profit margins. It’s especially good when you can use affiliate marketing to recommend things in areas you are personally interested in – for example you can make money simply writing a review of a book you really wanted to read anyway and you get paid for doing what you love.

The challenge for you is figuring out what market(s) to enter, building an audience and maintaining relationships with your readers so they trust what you tell them. If you know something that other people want to know and you are prepared to share that information, you could be looking at a fairly lucrative affiliate opportunity.

9. Sell your own information products

The profit margins on information products is significant, especially as you can earn money for content you created years ago. Technology makes selling information online relatively easy to automate, once you get through the learning curve. If you focus on areas you are passionate about you can build expertise and leverage that trust and credibility to make sales of your products. Best of all, all of this can happen while you sleep, once you have built the machine to do it for you.

Like with affiliate marketing, your potential to succeed selling information products rests on your ability to identify market needs, tap into audiences looking for this information and then give them what they want. There are plenty of subtleties and things to learn about, but thankfully there is plenty of guidance out there too.

10. High end private coaching,Membership websites

Offer high end coaching to a select group of clients who had to apply to work with me. Private coaching, like consulting, is another situation where you trade time for money .

You can also create membership sites where you can charge people monthly. That's another way of making money monthly.

Business / If You Want A Million Dollars, Don’t Focus On The Money. Do This Instead by dryx007(m): 3:46pm On Apr 28, 2016
When people get interested in trading, there is usually only one reason behind it: money. And there is nothing wrong with it. Trading is a great opportunity to generate an income where you are not paid by the hour and you can even set up your trading in a way that it generates a more passive income stream where you make some money on the side.

This is all good and being motivated by money can be a great driver. However, this can quickly change into the contrary when a trader approaches his monetary goals from a wrong perspective. In this article we want to highlight some research findings that show that when people view money in the wrong context it can actually harm their trading and, then, we want to help you adopt a healthier relationship with it to set yourself up for success.

If you need money, you won’t get it – research confirmed
When it comes to being driven by money, there are usually two things that happen when a trader has a wrong perception:

#1 Unrealistic expectations

We are all guilty of that to some degree: when starting out as new traders, we projected that it would only take a few years to turn a few hundred or thousand Dollars into a huge pile of cash and quit our day jobs. Having unrealistic goals quickly leads to frustration when those expectations aren’t met. The quitting rate for new traders is astronomical (40% quit within 1 month) and one of the main reasons are probably wrong ideas and expectations.

Source and references here

Once a trader sees that trading isn’t going to be the easy and fast way out, there are usually three things that happen: he either quits, he takes a riskier approach to trading (larger positions, more trades, gambling mentality), or he starts system-hopping if he still believes that there must be a trading method out there that can generate those returns.

Investors with a large differential between their existing economic conditions and their aspiration levels hold riskier stocks in their portfolios.
– Kumar: Who Gambles In The Stock Market? – Accessed through: econ.yale.edu

#2 The need to trade

High expectations, as we said, can lead to taking more trades and increasing risk to meet return goals. As we will see shortly, setting yourself goals for X amount of money is the surest way to trading failure.

Especially traders with small accounts struggle with that because they soon realize that a small account will not get them to where they want to be. Although you can read that trading a small account is no different, it’s just not true. Trading with less capital is definitely harder – much harder. With a small trading account, your wins are often close to meaningless which then creates the need to trade more and introduce more risk in your trading.

High net worth investors are likely to have lower turnover.
– Anderson, Stranaham: Account Turnover and Demographic Profiles: Which Investors Trade Too Much? – Accessed through: Bradley.edu

What not do when it comes to trading goals
When it comes to setting goals, there are a few don’ts and I will explain why you have to avoid them at all costs if you want to become a better trader.

#1 Daily/weekly return goals

I see so many traders say that they want to generate 3%, 4% or 5% per week because they have calculated that this will help them achieve their goals in a certain amount of time.

Monetary goals are the worst of all because it creates the need to trade and it puts the traders in a constant state of hunting for signals. 99% of the time, such traders will never meet their goals and they end up losing money because they take mediocre trades, hoping to realize their target.

You can’t control how much you can take out of the market. The only thing you can control is the risk of your trade and the types of trades you take. The outcome is not in your hands. Some weeks, you will get more and better trades and sometimes you just have to sit it out. You have to eliminate the need to trade as much as you can.

Business / What Is Wrong With Nigerian Internet Marketers? by dryx007(m): 1:11pm On Jul 23, 2015
Hello, Nigerian Internet marketers are the worst on the world, dey are always copying from each other. If it's importation business craze, they will all start selling guide on how to make money from importation and when you read most of their sales page, very similar. I bought an importation guide from afolabi segun only to discover that where he buys his goods from is Ali express. I felt cheated, who doesn't know Ali express? Also they will tell you a secret way to sell your goods on Konga and jumia, when all you need is to visit the site and you will know how to sell on this sites for free and one of them claimed he paid someone 150k to teach him how to sell on Konga and am like WTF,big lie

The new craze by all of them is done for you selling information products .They all boast of making millions online. Once someone starts, all of them will start sending these messages, d same messages

Most times our problem is laziness. Presently I have a kindle book on sale on amazon, and all the information on how to get hot topics and write a Kindle book,i got them for free.if you search the Internet well enough, you will get most of this information for free

So beware

Politics / CAN Leader Irresponsible - El - Rufai by dryx007(m): 8:59pm On Sep 17, 2014
A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and senior member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasir El-Rufai, on Wednesday described the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ayo Oritsejafor, as an “irresponsible” leader who has abused his revered office by venturing into politics.

Mr. El-Rufai was reacting to a statement by CAN Tuesday berating the former minister and the spokesperson of the APC, Lai Mohammed, over their responses to reports that a private jet recently impounded in South Africa over suspicion of arms smuggling, belongs to the CAN president.
In the statement, CAN accused the two APC stalwarts of tarnishing the image of Mr. Ortisejafor.

CAN also said Mr. El-Rufai had once said there are three sets of Boko Haram in Nigeria: “Islamic Boko Haram, Politicians’ Boko Haram and Christians’ Boko Haram which he said are being funded by President Goodluck Jonathan and coordinated by CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. He went further to claim that the CAN President has been given N50 billion by the President and a Jet”.

In his response Wednesday, Mr. El Rufai said the CAN president is becoming “jittery” because his private jet was identified as the vessel impounded by the South African authorities for ferrying $9.3m cash into their country.

Mr. El-Rufai also said after being unable to shake off his connection to the plane, Mr. Oritsejafor has resorted to abuse and vilification.
“Were he more reflective, he would be pondering how, of all the private jets available in Nigeria, it was his that came to be involved in a covert arms purchase scandal.

“Would he have managed any objectivity if the plane involved happened to belong to a prominent person of another faith or political persuasion,” a statement signed by Mr. El Rufai’s spokesperson, Muyiwa Adekeye, said.
Mr. El-Rufai also said the CAN President should explain if the jet involved in the scandal is the same one that was “donated” to him in 2012.

“Did he register it as a commercial aircraft or is the plane illegally moonlighting as one? Has he ever reflected on the impropriety of mixing his religious role with politics?
“Having strayed into politics, and an irresponsible variant at that, can he expect the veneration enjoyed by his predecessors such as Cardinals Olubunmi Okogie and John Onaiyekan?

“Why is he the first CAN leader to provoke pitiful mirth and amusement when he is not being derided as a tragedy, a sort of Ichabod, desperate to separate glory from a revered body?” Mr. El-Rufai said.
He also advised Mr. Oritsejafor to “look beyond the bling to ask himself if it was any of the individuals he abused yesterday that asked him to make his aircraft available for monkey business, or get himself involved in the politics of division”.
The former Minister also advised the Nigerian government to act responsibly in its bid to procure arms to fight the on-going insurgency in the country.
“Our country needs to bolster its military and security forces with the material resources they need to defeat insurgency and restore security to every inch of its territory.
“This would require arms imports. But should Nigeria violate the arms export regulations of other countries in this endeavour?

“Should the FG recklessly impair and jeopardise diplomatic relations by conducting covert arms purchases in friendly countries without the consent of their governments? Such conduct invariably leads to suspicions that such covert arms procurement may not be for purposes of national security,” he said.
He said arms procurement outside official channels amidst an escalating insurgency must concern every patriot.

Mr. El Rufai had in a presentation at the British House of Commons last week, alluded to a link between the government’s handling of the Boko Haram crisis, and the escalation in the insurgency.

“The government has long tried to explain away its incompetence in upholding security by blaming insurgency on the major opposition party.
“But it is becoming increasingly clear to many that this insurgency is benefitting the ruling party and the incumbent president by providing them a pretext to postpone elections and, at the minimum, disenfranchise large swathes of the population that have never supported the PDP or voted for Jonathan,” he said.

Politics / “I Enjoy Killing People Who Are Unbelievers, - Ogwuche, nyanya Bombing Mastermind by dryx007(m): 3:08pm On Jul 23, 2014
Nyanya bombing mastermind, Aminu Ogwuche who was recently extradited from Sudan has vowed to continue with what he termed as spiritual revolution at the least opportunity, as against expectations that will become sober as a result of his ordeal and probably ask for forgiveness.

The suspected terrorist, who spoke in fluent English language said that he has no regrets for his dastardly act in the April 14, 2014 bomb blast that killed over 70 people and injured about 120 others at Nyanya area of Abuja, according to reports from National Daily.

“I don’t deny that I am the executioner of the Nyanya bomb incident. I did it in order to draw government’s attention to our demands. We want our detained colleagues released and compensation paid to those of our colleagues who were killed by the federal troops during operations. We want Islamic rule in the whole of northern Nigeria.

Western education is a sin against Allah. It’s time for dialogue between government and Boko Haram leaders for the way out of the deadlock,” he was quoted as saying.

“The government must do something now or the bombing will continue. There is no regretting anything because we are fighting a just cause to liberate our people from western education and religion,” the light complexioned and gaunt looking suspected terrorist said.

Ogwuche vowed not to forgive the federal government for waging war against Islamic fundamentalists in the country saying that Boko Haram highest echelon is prepared to contain government determined onslaught against terrorists. “Federal government has been trying without success to wipe out Boko Haram. They killed our leader, Muhammed Yusuf and hundreds of others yet we still exist. We are a force to be recognized. You ignore us at your own peril. We are particularly pained by the killing of hundreds of our members across the forest in northern part of the country. Although we equally killed federal troops, we will never forgive the federal government for the incessant killings. We are well armed to fight back and we will never surrender. Boko Haram is well funded and highly equipped organization with capacity to take over the whole country if it so desires,” Ogwuche ranted.

The Nyanya bomb blast mastermind boasted that he is still lusting to shed more blood of those he described as “infidels.” If I am left alone, I will still kill those infidels who have refused to repent of their sins against Allah. This is my mission on earth. My mission is to wipe out infidels from the face of the earth. You call me bomb detonator, and I love that. I am ready to kill again. In fact, I enjoy killing people who are unbelievers; those deceived by western education and disobedient to Allah and his holy Koran. I don’t care what will happen to me now because if I die, I shall go to heaven for doing god’s work. I won’t beg anybody for forgiveness but I can assure you that my so called trial will not be an easy exercise. If I like, I plead not guilty in court to make things difficult for the federal government but inside my mind, I know I did the damn thing. It is my word against federal government evidence. I know a little bit about the intricacies of the law through the study of several law books. Nobody can push me around because I am not a fool,” said Ogwuche who was born in the United Kingdom.

The captured fugitive terrorist who regaled his interrogators with gory tale of his exploits in the world of violence said he and hundreds of Boko Haram members were trained in Somalia and Pakistan in the science of terrorism. “I don’t deny that we have links with foreign terrorist groups. We have many friends as well as may enemies. It doesn’t matter if I am killed others will continue the struggle. There are millions of Boko Haram members in Nigeria and overseas. Was our great leader Mohammed Yusuf not killed, did his death lead to the end of the Boko Haram? We are determined to start a big jihad across the nation, first, wait and see. Our is something like spiritual revolution. When they arrested Kabiru Sokoto, they celebrated as if Boko Haram is all about Kabiru Sokoto. That is how they celebrated the death of Yusuf Mohammed. They will keep celebrating individuals while million agents of Boko Haram operate,” Ogwuche said.
