Hmmm. Some Nigerians are not discerning. Kwankwaso has just perfected the assignment President Tinubu gave him (following his many meetings with Tinubu since 2023 and as recently as a few months ago).

How the opposition can't see that multiple platforms for the Presidential election is a win-win for any ruling party, as it was in 2023, is quite befuddling.

How will Tinubu, who as a candidate his own party members worked against, eventually won the Presidential election, now lose as an incumbent?

Kwankwaso had, all along, been scheming for 2031 Presidential election, when the 'prize' returns to the North.

Kwankwaso seeks to deliberately split Atiku's votes, especially in the North, for Tinubu's reelection (as he did with NNPP in 2023), knowing that Atiku, by himself, admitted that 2027 was his final push at the presidency, since he would clock 81 that year.

Kwankwaso is working to diminish any rival Northern politician that is interested in the current election cycle- 2027- so that he could bargain for a national platform for 2031 election, when power would return to the North.

Bala Mohammed may join the NDC along with Seyi Makinde. Goodluck Jonathan is also being courted to fly the party's ticket. He may choose Bala as Vice. Jonathan on the ballot will serve as a third force and will further complicate things for Tinubu in the SS and NC.

You are naive...Rather than 'complicate things' for Tinubu, as you stated above, it will FAVOUR Tinubu.

It is clearly logical that the more there are opposition parties on the ballot, the easier it is for any incumbent to split votes and win!

When Nigerian political elites fight, like their counterparts abroad, including the so-called 'saner climes' (an often-used expression I consider self-deprecating and senseless) do, the common people should merely watch and get amused. They fight (or pretend to fight publicly), they steal, and they eventually reconcile.

First, the letter Mr. President sent to the Senate DID NOT specify the ministry Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN, would be assigned. It simply said 'Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria'. That he would replace the former Minister of Science and Technology, did not mean that he would be assigned to that Ministry. After his confirmation by the Senate, Mr. President could do a minor cabinet reshuffle and assign him to another Ministry. This minor cabinet reshuffling has happened under previous administrations.

Second, for those who have consulted for public agencies, you would agree with me that the Minister is a political appointee. The main resource at any Ministry is the Permanent Secretary, Directors, and other staff, who execute day-to-day mandates. Examples abound, even in countries we, on the basis of self-deprecation, address as "developed world", "First World", "advanced countries", where the degrees of Ministers did not reflect the ministries they superintend.

For instance, coming home, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman, a Professor of Political Science, an indigene of Kwara State, was appointed Minister for National Planning by President Goodluck Jonathan. He was said to have performed well in that Ministry.

The outcome of this, is that ALL PDP candidates for the 2027 elections, who, as usual, were selected by delegates from the 'illegal convention', would have their candidacy voided!

PDP is setting itself up for ultimate failure in 2027!

They didn't learn from APC's mistake in Zamfara State, in 2019, when APC won ALL elections (state and federal) but lost ALL, and the party that had a distant 2nd position, PDP, was asked by the court to take over.

70% of the Commissioners in the major ministries under him were Christians.
He instituted annual Thanksgiving at Lagos Government House (where leading pastors, such as Pastor Adeboye of Redeemed Church, Bishop Okonkwo of TREM, Pastor Kumuyi of Deeper Life, adn many others prayed). This tradition has remained till today.
He was the first Governor in South-West to return missionary schools to the churches.

Even outside of his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, check his "inner caucus" (Cardoso, Edun, Alake, and many others), majority of them are Christians!

The current Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, PhD., was a former Executive of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Lagos State. Go listen to the Bishop's campaign materials, online, for Tinubu. He gave so many testimonials about Tinubu's extreme, very uncommon level of religious tolerance.

At the home front, his only wife is not only a Christian, she is a Pastor. His first son, Seyi, is a Christian, only the other son (who we see attend prayers with him) is a Muslim; in fact, ALL his daughters are Christians.

I have friends in the North who always told me that Tinubu is a nominal Muslim; so, why did the body of Christ, the church and Christians, campaign against his Presidency in 2023?

Even now, check his appointments (DGs, MDs, CEOs, EDs, etc, etc), majority are Christians.

By his nuances, antecedents and proven reality, Tinubu is more Christian than some Christians. Facts only.

When ignorant people shout that the North would teach Tinubu politics in 2027, I wonder if they know anything about Nigeria's political history.

This is the first time we have had a true politician as President, since return to democracy in 1999, and some clowns are saying that they would teach him politics! The man is a very pragmatic politician. Tinubu is quietly restructuring Nigeria without making noise, without convening a wasteful Constitutional Conference! He would win, again, in 2027.

Only recently, some Christian Northern groups declared their support for Tinubu, because they had been 'surprised' that the 'Muslim-Muslim ticket' (of Tinubu and Shettima) had not denied them anything, contrary to their expectation when they refused to support him during the 2023 elections.

The strongholds of the Labour Party, which rode on the wings of Peter Obi tsunami, are being decimated by the same APC and some people still do not think that Tinubu's re-election was a done deal?

This is the same Tinubu who had already struck a deal with some PDP Governors, such as Peter Mbah of Enugu, Muftwang of Plateau State, Sheriff of Delta State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Eno Umo of Akwa-Ibom State, Fubara of Rivers State (forget his feud with Wike, Tinubu had successfully deployed divide-and-rule strategy on those two gladiators), and others who are ending their 2nd terms in 2027, but who would work for him (people such as Makinde of Oyo State), to support their re-election for his own re-election as President in 2027...

Tinubu would teach many people politics in 2027. His 2nd term win is almost a done deal. Politicians who are interested in the Presidency should plan for 2031, not 2027.
