Politics / Re: Ogbonnaya Onu Would’ve Been President In 1999 Instead Of Obasanjo – Shehu Sani by DTaj: 1:13pm On Apr 13
Penguin2:
Tor

Ogbonnaya Onu is a classical example that no Igbo man will get anything from this people by remaining in servitude to these people.

When they make those stupid assertions like “if Igbos want power they must align with the center…they have to vote APC”, I just laugh. Because what they are doing is asking you to come and become their next useful idiot.

Onu has been with these guys since 1999. He never defected. He closest friends and allies were northerners but what did he gain at the end? Tears!

I saw him crying like an infant suckling his mother’s breast during the APC convention and I couldn’t help but cringe. Nobody acted like he existed. When he was done wailing, he left the stage in shame.

Orji Uzor Kalu who has equally been slaving them since 1999 equally ended in tears when he was crying like a little child they took her biscuit at the floor of the National Assembly.

Rochas Okorocha nko? They humiliated him until he respected himself and went and hid in shame. Despite his servitude to them, they sent EFCC to go and remove his zinc and capture and humiliate him like a common criminal.

Umahi is on same trajectory and I can already predict how it will end for him - in tears.

And I see a lot of people who claim to be Igbos fooling themselves here in the name supporting APC; toeing the foolish path of the fools before them and I always laugh at them.

Igbos will never gain anything being of servitude to this people.

If you don’t learn from history, you will just end up as just another historical specimen.

You wrote all this NONSENSE about APC, what did the PDP Igbo people have followed and slaved for forever (and are still slaving for this minute) done for them? NOTHING!

Yet you had the odious temerity to talk about APC, a party that was formed only in 2014!

You only demonstrated idiocy and hypocrisy raised to the power of 100.

Politics / Re: We Regret Voting Tinubu – Northern Elders by DTaj: 12:26pm On Apr 10
Anyone who had any of secondary school or University education in the North would attest to the futility of this nonsense from the elitist group called Northern Elders Forum.

These are some of their complaints/bases for their anger:

1. How dare Tinubu appoint a South-South Christian as FCT Minister (the elite see the FCT Minister position, both during the military and civilian governments as their birthright). Before you shout about bias, I am a Muslim. Being Nigeria's capital, Wike has gone ahead to appoint top officials from ALL parts of Nigeria, a thing that was strange before now!!! He recently appointed a woman from Rivers State, a Professor, as MD of Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL). It had NEVER happened before. We, almost 90% of the time, had male, Northern Muslims as MD of AICL. The only time a Yoruba man was MD of AICL, he was the son-in-law of Abubakar Atiku. His name is Tolani.

2. Spread of national appointments: Tinubu's FG has demystified certain assumptions that says that certain positions MUST go to the North. A particular person wondered how a non-Northerner was appointed Director of Banking Supervision (DBSD) at CBN after the Northerner Yemi Cardoso met their was redeployed to another department! Imagine the daft entitlement mentality! The current Acting DBSD is a PhD holder.

3. Stoppage of CBN's Anchor Borrowers' Programme: This was a well-known conduit for absolute corruption, which former CBN Governor, Emefiele, allowed the Northwrn elite to enjoy, without paying back, because he wanted their support for his dead Presidential ambition!

4. Stoppage of under-the-table payment to some "core Northern stakeholders", through MDAs and certain "cash-awash agencies". The list of those "stakeholders" is long!

5. The general feeling that Tinubu's FG seemed to be empowering Southern Nigeria with power, as opposed to the lazy enjoyment of the Northern elite regarding power.

6. Bureau de Change (BDC) Licensing: The elites of the North see BDC licence as their special national cake. They are angry that the current CBN Governor has clipped the wings of BDCs, who are well-known as the conduit for attack on our exchange rate to the US Dollar.

There are MANY other reasons I cannot share here. Please note that in ALL OF THESE, THE ANGER OF NEF WAS NOT ABOUT THE MASSES IN THE NORTH, BUT THEIR OWN POCKETS!!!

May God bless Nigeria! This parasitic Northern Elders Forum and their ilk in other parts of Nigeria (parasites who have been feeding fat on Nigeria's resources) should go and hug transformers in their different locations, NIGERIA WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND ATTAIN ITS TRUE POTENTIAL!!!

Politics / Re: Bayelsa Council Polls: PDP Wins All 8 LGA seats by DTaj: 4:17pm On Apr 08
Bayelsa State, a very tiny state with only 8 local governments, the smallest in Nigeria, is one of the WORST states in Nigeria, with respect to Human Development Index (HDI), despite being given 13% derivation allocation, FAAC allocation, Amnesty Programme, NDDC projects, South South Foreign Scholarships, etc, etc!

When you talk about how backward that state is, clowns start blaming other people (from different political parties and other parts of Nigeria!)....

This very wasteful Brentford side should have been 4-0 up in this home game vs Man Utd.

They hit the bar and post twice.

Ivan Toney has been the main culprit. It's still 0-0.

They have utterly dominated Man Utd, but have been let down by very poor finishing...

You are wrong! That is not Remi Tinubu's former seat. The current occupier of Remi Tinubu's former Senate seat, Lagos Central, is Senator (Prince) Wasiu Eshinlokun.

Senator Abiru, representing Lagos East (former MD of Polaris Bank) was elected in a by-election following the death of Senator Bayo Oshinowo, during Covid-19 pandemic.

Politics / Re: Tinubu Offers Fresh Appointment To Ganduje’s Son by DTaj: 6:59am On Mar 08
What exactly are some people complaining about, especially with regards to nepotism?

The CEO Tinubu removed is a Northerner, he has replaced him with another Northerner. Out of the 3 EDs he removed, 2 were Northerners and only 1 was a Southerner. Now, to balance the former, obviously biased appointments under Buhari, Tinubu has now appointed 2 new Southerner EDs and only 1 Northern ED, because the CEO is already a Northerner!

From the foregoing, instead of 3 Northerners and 1 Southerner Buhari appointed, Tinubu has balanced it to 2 each for the South and the North! In fact, it is balanced in terms of religion too- 2 each for Christians and Muslims.

I do not see the need for this nonsense cry! Tinubu had done the right thing!

We should not continue to criticize so blindly, even without reading the news story!

Politics / Re: Surulere Bye-election: INEC Declares Fuad Laguda (APC) As Winner by DTaj: 11:01pm On Feb 03
I wrote about this expected outcome, on a thread, yesterday.

Femi Gbajabiamila is the most impactful House if Representatives member Surulere had ever elected, at least since 1979!

I have lived in Surulere for almost 30 years, Femi Gbajabiamila has had no equal in terms of direct impact on his constituents. If Surulere were a state, Femi Gbajabiamila or anyone he supported would have become Governor, without any fuss.

Fuad Kayode Laguda, a very good man in his own right, benefitted massively from Gbajabiamila's goodwill; and won the election in ALL polling units! QED.

Man became governor on a platter of gold. He knows the Nigerian political terrain more than any of you. Some of you making noise here didn't even contest in SUG elections while in school.

He knows oaths he took, shrines that he entered and agreements that he signed before becoming governor. If he fought his way to become a governor in a state like Rivers, then you can bet your two testes that he'd sure be a tough guy.

But what would you expect from someone who didn't even buy his nomination forms?

It's a good thing that he doesn't read all the BS being said on the Internet, he would have probably followed you guys advice, and Just like Ambode, they would have just wrapped up his political career.

Man sits on N1.5b security vote and N23b monthly allocation..

Una think say the man go wan lose all this, just because he wants to flex muscles with people wey fit carry 2nd runner-up make am governor?

You guys should allow the man rest abeg. Na him dey wear the shoes, he knows where it pinches him the most.

By the way, there are other governors who have been postrating 3 times a day for their godfathers.

All he should ensure is, he delivers the dividends of democracy that he was elected to for. Not all this flexing of muscle....

GOD BLESS YOU! You displayed a deep knowledge of democracy in Nigeria! You were also pragmatic...

The chest-beating clowns and court jesters, who are urging Governor Fubara on, seeking his so-called annihilation of his benefactor, Wike, do not know anything about politics!

Fubara knows, hence the wisdom he had so far displayed in managing the crisis with his undeniable mentor, Wike...

Chidi's bigotry is unraveling. It is so disappointing that nothing, not even sound education and exposure, can cover ethnicity and religious bias, when our elites' preferences are involved!

What offence has the CJN committed if his nephew was appointed as a Court of Appeal judge IF he is qualified and approved by NJC? So, by Chidi Odinkalu's idiotic reasoning, once one becomes CJN, NONE of his qualified family members could be appointed into the upper echelon of the judiciary? In the same manner, if my nephew has had a solid career, and was qualified; I should deny him promotion?

When did being a member of an extended family the basis for denying professionals their rights?

Chidi also wrote about someone's son-in-law being a judge. Haba! How more daft can daftness be shown If I became a Vice Chancellor of a University, and my son-in-law, who was already a well-regarded lecturer before marrying my daughter, was recommended for promotion to Professor cadre, I should not appoint him?

This stupid analogy is coming from a so-called Professor! Damn!!! I over-rated Chidi Odinkalu. He is obviously not different from the entitled elites! Shame.

Politics / Re: LP Welcomes Atiku’s Merger Proposal, NNPP Gives Condition by DTaj: 8:13am On Nov 16, 2023
casualobserver:

The idea is dead on arrival. The merger won’t work for the same reason they split up in the 1st place. A re-emerged PDP (which is what a merger between LP,PDP and Kwakwanso is) will never give the ticket to Obi.

The difference between APC and PDP (and it’s splinter groups) is very clear. I urge you to watch the video by Yomi Awoniyi former deputy governor of Kogi state under PDP on YouTube. After 25 years in PDP (his father was a founding member). He defected to APC a few months ago. He said he was shocked at the level of strategic planning in APC. That is what separates APC and PDP. PDP are a party who were gifted power in 1999, and have maintained power by rigging. As soon as it started becoming difficult to rig starting with the reforms under Jonathan, they started to lose their grip on power. The problem with PDP members ( the like of Atiku, Obi, Kwakwanso). Is that they still have that mentality of impunity and rigging that characterized the Obasanjo PDP era. They don’t know how to be strategic. They don’t know how to compromise, they are not fundamentally democrats.

Whatever your views on APC respect them for their ability to compromise, align settle rifts, pacify members, give and take and act strategically . That is why they win elections. You rarely ever hear of rancour in APC. APC will find a way to pacify you and keep you sweet of you are politically relevant. APC rarely do fight to end amongst members and when rifts occur, they will settle. When PDP have internal problems it is fight to finish. PDP is a party of egos and a merger will not succeed for the same reason they split up.

GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS FACT-BASED ANALYSIS!

A lot of our young people, Gen Z, were probably not born, or were too young to know, how Nigeria's worst-ever "election" was conducted by an INEC led by Prof. Maurice Iwu in 2007, under a PDP FG of President Obasanjo!

The 2007 elections had been postponed and majority of the ballot papers were still being printed in South Africa, but INEC started announcing results! Imagine that!!! No election, NO BALLOT PAPERS, YET PDP WAS ANNOUNCED WINNER ALMOST EVERYWHERE. PDP killed the two main opposition parties, AD and ANPP, via that infamous 2007 "election"!!! LOL.

Please, I ask NR people to use Google to obtain information about THAT 2007 ELECTION! IT WAS MORE THAN MAGIC, IT WAS EVIL!!!

No INEC has matched the evil machination that the 2007 election was! LOL.

The same people who said that INEC rigged for Tinubu?

Why are these morons so confused, inconsistent and hypocritical?

Should any merger happen (which is very doubtful) their 'wahala' would begin, and their party would 'scatter' after their Presidential primaries in 2026!

They have three overtly ambitious gladiators- Obi, Atiku and Kwankwaso- who would never bury their individual ambitions.

People who have compared this proposed merger to APC's merger in 2013, do not understand that the dynamics were completely different; and that none of these three persons has the political temperament to wait for 8 years like Tinubu did for Buhari...

How could Nigeria's smallest state, with only eight-8- local governments, and with huge allocations (FAAC, 13% derivation, NDDC, Amnesty Programme, Special Indigene Scholarships, etc, etc) still be so abysmally poor?

Driving through Yenagoa and other towns, in Bayelsa State, one could evidently see that politicians have embezzled most of these funds for 24 unbroken years.

What has Tinubu got to do with your downfall?

Did you mean that Tinubu should not compensate Wike, who mobilized votes for APC in the 2023 Presidential elections when your boss, Amaechi, mobilized for PDP's Atiku?

Tinubu, after the APC primaries, with humility and consensus-building mindset, visited Amaechi's home, seeking his support, BUT what did Amaechi do? Amaechi backstabbed Tinubu, ignored him and asked his supporters to vote Atiku!

The most stupid thing Amaechi did to Tinubu was when he said, on live TV, AFTER TINUBU HAD BEEN DECLARED PRESIDENT-ELECT, that the INEC Chairman was nominated from Tinubu's camp? How? It was shocking to have seen Amaechi, on live TV, running his mouth and throwing jibes at Tinubu, the President-elect at the time, about his loss at Rivers State elections.

For a very experienced politician to have made that fatal blunder was shocking. Knowing how powerful the Nigerian Constitution had made any President of Nigeria, I expected Amaechi to have been careful with his utterances against someone who had already been declared President! That singular indiscretion has caused these two- Cole and Dakuku- any form of patronage from the President.

This visit is a nullity. Even if Tinubu wanted to appoint them, people around him may prevent him, because they are Amaechi's boys and Tinubu camp will never trust them!

The pain of blind loyalty to a selfish leader, who killed APC in Rivers State- Amaechi!

Nyesom Wike is the FCT Minister and President Tinubu's personal adviser, one million visits by Amaechi's boys to Ganduje would NOT change any of those!
