Imo State Police Command has arrested a three-man gang that gruesomely murdered 24-year-old final year civil engineering student of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Imo State, Innocent Ndukwe.

According to Vanguard ,speaking after parading the suspects before journalists yesterday in Owerri, the Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, disclosed that soon after slaughtering their hapless victim, the hoodlums stole his Pathfinder Sports Utility Vehicle with registration number, Lagos KRD 109 BP, two plasma television sets, one home theatre and assorted personal effects.

“Soon after getting credible information about the heinous act, the police control room quickly alerted operations of the command and they immediately searched the entire state.

‘’As a result, the assailants, who tried to escape the eagle-eyed operatives, were subsequently apprehended along West End-Old Nekede Road, Owerri, ”the CP said.

According to Mr. Lakanu, the late Ndukwe was found in a pool of his own blood in a toilet in his residence at 18 Enuwa Street, Egbu, in the Owerri North Local Government Area.

He gave the names of the all-male suspects who later confessed to the crime as David Kwaguru, 30, from Sirwo in Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State; Friday Ayuba, 28, a native of Keyelda in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and Francis Amos, 23, a native of Pingali in Langtang South Local Government Area also in Plateau State.

The Imo police boss appealed to members of the public to be careful and circumspect in choosing the people they employed as security guards.
“Events have since proved that most security guards often turn against their masters by collaborating with criminals to deal with them,” the CP said.

Several persons were feared dead in a ghastly motor accident that occurred around the Asaba Airport, Asaba, Delta state on the busy Benin/Onitsha highway on Friday morning.

Eyewitness account said the accident occurred around 10:40am and it involved a trailer and two vehicles – a fully loaded 16-seater bus and taxi painted in the blue/ white color of commercial vehicles in Delta state.

Although the death toll was unknown at the time of this report, an eyewitness, Ignatious Ruke Edjeren in a post said,

“The death toll is expected to be high.” It was gathered that despite the fact that the accident occurred close to the Asaba Airport rescue effort did commence for at least one hour afterwards.

Edjeren said, “As at 11.15 am, no fire service or road safety officials have reached the scene. Vehicular movements on the busy expressway have come to a halt.”

Effort to get detail of the accident at the Federal Road Safety Corp Asaba was abortive.

The zone’s public relations officer who was contacted on telephone advised our reporter to go and get details from the scene.

Former Minister of Education, Dr Igwe Aja-Nwachukwu, is dead, aged 63.
Aja-Nwachukwu, who was Education Minister from July 26, 2007 – December 17, 2008, passed on while receiving treatment at an Israeli hospital.

The former minister’s younger brother, Festus Aja-Nwachukwu, who confirmed the death while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja, said his elder brother died on Nov. 17.

He said the former minister, who served during the administration of President Umaru Yar’Adua, had been receiving treatment at an Israeli hospital for about four weeks before passing on.

Festus said he could not readily say the cause of his elder brother’s death until the death certificate was issued by the hospital.

He said that details of the burial arrangement would be made public in due course.

Aja-Nwachuku, a native of Okposi in Ebonyi, was born in 1952 and appointed minister of education in 2007. His father was Nigeria’s first minister of education.

He graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor’s Degree in statistics.

He also had an MBA in Finance, MSc in Statistics and Ph.D in Economics.

Keep away from antibiotics: If possible, don’t take any antibiotics. They can have a chain response which leads to yeast infections. If you must take them, consume kefir, yogurt and fermented foods in general to soothe the yeast.

Treat the infections right from the start: Yeast infections, trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis are the three most common vagina issues. Not treating them on time can cause serious health issues. Treat them with topical or oral drugs.

Choose your underwear carefully: Vaginal skin is sensitive so wear a 100% cotton underwear.

See a gynecologist: Regular gynecologist checkups are crucial for good vaginal health. The first exam should be on 21 years or in period of three years after your first sex. Any changes in the vaginal cells can be noticed by Pap smears performed by a gynecologist.

Use only water to wash it: It’s very important to only use water for washing your vagina. Do not use any hygiene products.

Choose the soap carefully: Use soaps with olive oil – they won’t dry the skin or distort the pH levels.

Several people were reportedly killed after armed robbers struck a bank at Igarra, in Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo State this morning.

Eyewitnesses say the robbers arrived the bank at about 6am, killed the security guard, carted away with money in the bank before engaging the police in a serious gun battle. Many people were left with bullet wounds after the robbers fired gunshots in the air in a bid to scare the police and residents of the area away. None of the robbers were arrested.


The state police spokesman, Stanley Osifo confirmed the incident and said he and the state commissioner of police have been to the scene of the incident.

This robbery of a thing is really getting too much...

A final year marketing student of mapoly was gunned down by suspected cult members at Iyana Oluwo today.

The deceased who is nicknamed ‘nigga’ and real name is unknown as of the time of the incident died instantly.

He was said to be signing out after his final papers today when the ill fated incident occured.

Beautiful daughter of Emir of Kano, Yusra Khadija Muhammadu Sunusi II has written a letter to popular blogger Linda Ikeji.

Khadija wrote this letter after Linda shared a picture of her on the blog which sparked up controversial comments from the readers.

I saw your blog post about my picture and although I am flattered that you think I’m stunning, I find the comments rather offensive.

The comments could be classified under two categories: either made by perverts or made by people who used the opportunity to disregard my father’s marital affairs. I am aware that you cannot control your viewer’s opinions, but you violated My right of privacy by putting up pictures of me on your blog, when you don’t even know me personally.

There is more to a person than meets the eye. By putting up my pictures and describing me as “pretty” and “stunning”, you are judging me based on my physical appearances.

Truth is, this is exactly what is wrong with the world. We reduce people and describe them using shallow and physical adjectives. For the commenter who insisted that I was only pretty with make up on, we live in a world full of Nigerians who spend hundreds, and even thousands on Brazilian and Indian wigs, bleaching creams and fake nails. A police officer was chasing his wife for several minutes before shooting her to death in Uberlandia, south east Brazil, on October 20.

The fatal shooting began at about 10.50am when the man chased his wife down a street as she was trying to flee.

According to local media, the 46-year-old later locked himself in their family house and only after hours of negotiation with officers from the Special Actions and Tactics Group surrendered to police.
