From the early 90s to around 2003, one common way of watching movies was through movie rental shops where you could register with a small amount of money, and obtain access to movies (both local and foreign).

Na this movie rental shop, popularly called 'video club' we take rent movies like Issakaba, Suicide Mission, Died Wretched: Buried in 2.5m Casket, Sakobi, Samadora, Karishika, Glamour Girls, Battle of Muzanga, Igbudu, Uncle Wayward, Rituals, Mr Ibu, Common Man, Aki Na Ukwa, Osuofia In London, End of the Wicked, and a host of others.

We also rented foreign movies like Delta Force (Chuck Norris), Nam Angels, Jungle Rat, Cyborg (Van Damme), Return From The River Kwai, The Never Ending Story, Escape From Sobibor, The Rock (Nicholas Cage and Sean Connery), Titanic, The Wizard of Oz, Jack the Giant Killer, Sinbad and the Seven Seas, The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, etc.

Kai, I feel so nostalgic to see those movies again.

Do you remember running to be the first to rent the latest film that had just come out? Or the one were you want to be the first 10 to watch the latest film such that on the day it is to be returned by the person who rented it, you would go to the video club about 3times that day before you get to see the person dropping it?

In my case i even knew the people who beat me to rent it in my area so I changed and use my cousin's video club card in mega plaza just so I could be first or join the first.

I heard terrible unverified news of Kirk Franklin of late.

When you are righteous the whole world immediately starts watching you once they see that you are now walking God's Way. And of course, they are watching you to find any opportunity to bring you down. And in the absence of any opportunity, they will abuse and insallt you to the depth of your soul. To the point that they would even be against your success laughing and mocking when they thing you are losing.

So, once anyone chooses to walk the God Way, like i did to Ron kenoly, Panam Percy, Don Moen and any one who looks like he is a Christian, so does the world watch them. For me, i was watching them to be like them since even me knew that I was a very very bad and evu person but i really did not want to be.

And Kirk Franklin too was/is my man, like Ron, i bought his first 3 albums (also still with me today) and singles. He was very hot then and it is his own album that made me understand what crying at night and hmmm, means. So I am very much pained that he is always in the news for the wrong reasons that i cannot confidently say him too.

Devus like lortReed will come and show his sins. And because of all of them i could immediately see that lortReed proved the Bible right when the Bible said Revelation 12:10 KJV, the "accuser of our brethren"

Today, i can confidently point out the world has seen and witness a man live and walk through this same corrupt and filthy world which they say is impossible.

Yet, this man did it and we are all witnesses of it, today. In spite of all the adulteries and wohrins and riches and glowries and filth and gamblings and wreckfullness,

Ron kenoly lived above them all. He had no scandal and no blemish of corruption and guile and now he died, blameless.

And now as Paul had already said even back then man is without excuse.

His first 3 albums, lift Him up, God is able and sing out where my bible, it was the wordings of those songs that helped me begin to understand God and the Bible.

It was after i had appreciated that i had gone through hell and death in secondary when God answered my prayers from the small Psalms that I knew from my grandmo prayers in a time that I was allergic to the bible, then i heard the words of the "He's turned my mourning into dancing again" and the other songs they played incompletely, i went to island and bought the cd ₦500 (still in my house till today) and cried with my soul as i began seeing that God had many times answered my prayers but I had made the mistake of taking it for granted.

Ah! God indeed poured out His Spirit and His prophecy was fulfilled

And I am so very happy that since back then till he died, Ron kenoly had no scandal. No adultery or sexual abuse allegations and no stain whatsoever.

A very good example that even today there are people out here living righteously as Noah, Daniel, Job, Moses, Mary, Cornelius,. And now even Ron kenoly too can be added as one of them in spite of how people say it is impossible

God has given the world an example of the men of old which people say it is impossible to walk with God faithfully.
