There is something always common in Nigeria from time to time.
Extreme Idiots with small Money. And come comfort. Irritating stuff
With the commonest being oshies taking every man's small and big money to be comfortable and rich. Over irritating

No one is refuting the fact. Whatever might have transpired, she has her reasons. However, you promised her 10k and she gave you what you have always wanted, so fulfill your part. If you had not promised her, it would have been a different case.
You don't need to promise to have a contract. Did you not see that she gave him now that he had dried her? She was only trying to gain triple double times. So he has already paid for what he got for if he didn't she would never had opened up

The issue here is not your mother in law. It's your method of discipline. Beating, hitting, yelling, etc or any violent means of correction does more harm to your children than you know. There're factual evidence and research to prove this.

Honestly, I'd advice you do more of intentional parenting than what you're doing now. Beating or hitting your child will actually do the opposite of what you're trying to correct. As per your mother in law,two wrongs do not make a right.
What rubbish? This is exactly what was said 30yrs back and now look at how terrible the world has become. Children now kil their own parents.

Poverty isn't holiness and prosperity isn't sin.
If you want to be poor that's on you, but don't demonize what God blesses.

He gives power to get wealth and takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants...

Now tell me which Bible you are reading...

Shalom!!!
Did you not hear that it is written that the rich will never make it?

Plus, Peter cursed the person who requested that he should sell the power God gave him, yet these pastors sell grace for thousands of dollars and pounds and you say that they have not sinned.

..Europeans did not progress by banning religion. Their approach was to open wide the doors to quality education for all citizens, thereby training their critical thinking skills...
They did better than that. They supported and promoted their own local businesses and economies even if it meant killing other foreign competition.

Like I just learnt in the village that the white bandits came here and banned our own local and better gin called "Sapele water" only to promote their own Gordons gin. Thereby creating the economy of foreign imports.

So, how can the ordinary local people prosper and get their due rewards for their local labour and industry when nearly all their local enterprises are being stifled instead of encouraged and grown and exported?

And this can only be done by the rulers. Exports must be more than imports for a nation to prosper

Thank you for your input.
I personally believe that "tapping into someone's grace" is a load of bullocks that mordern day ministers and pastors preach to their subservient congregation and has been passed down generationally.
There is this popular belief especially in Nigeria that if you congratulate someone who achieved something, the process of your own achievement will be accelerated. From a spiritual standpoint, does that work?
It is a yes and no thing.

Like the woman with the issue of blood who tapped from Jesus, which I called stealing however Jesus gave her grace on a condition which she passed

So, yes, as is written, there are people who are a blessing to others but it is not always guaranteed that you must get.

And in all these you would not need tapping if ye are planted by the waters

Receiving anything from God is by grace.
No one can say he or she did something to receive something from God...

Authority. Direction. Cover of mummy. None of these mean anything to the innocent toddler.
The child just wanted candy.
Is it the child who asked all these questions? No.

Hence, his case is that he took because he believes that when mummy said that he can take, then there is no problem for him.

So, you see, there is absolutely no way of defending Adam's guilt.

Akinpedia:
I agree that 'at all at all na im bad pass' is a good survival mindset. It’s better to have a bike than to be a beggar. Nobody is saying the poor shouldn't be grateful for life or small progress.

But here is the problem: In Nigeria, we have turned 'Gratitude' into 'Blindness.'

When the 'salesmen of hope' tell you to be thankful for a bike while the country’s wealth is being looted, they are making sure you don't realize you actually deserve a car, a good road, and a stable economy.

The rich don't use the 'at all at all' philosophy for themselves. When they want a contract, they go for billions. When they want health care, they go to London. They don't say 'at all at all' when it comes to their own comfort.

Why is it that 'Gratitude for crumbs' is a sermon preached only to the poor? True gratitude shouldn't lead to stagnation. You can be thankful for the bike today, but you must still realize that a system that makes a bike the 'pinnacle of success' for a hardworking man is a broken system.

We have used 'thank God' to cover the smell of our suffering for too long.
This is why the preaching is successful as the poor are where they are because nothing short of them being completely annihilatied, can be done about it. Ken Sato wiwa tried, he lost and got murdered. Fela tried, same thing, Gani tried, he was imprisoned and these people were not poor. And yet the ivu has not stopped.

It is only God who can crush them all and change it, so, let the poor grow their God help small small that from bike, they move to a corolla

So the battle is between the parents because the child did no wrong.
The child did what, daddy calls a wrong on the authority, direction and cover of mummy who granted him the permission to take that which daddy said don't take.

So, the case of prosecuting the child has to be suspended pending the determination of whether mummy has a right to nullify and daddy's commands

If it is upheld, then the child is free of guilt.

But if she is overruled, then the child's prosecution will continue and he will be guilty.

Then if it daddy deems to take it up and prosecute mummy, then she too would have her own prosecution

I hear you, but that is exactly what I call the 'Micro-Hope Trap.'

We have been so beaten down by this system that we now see 'buying a bike' or 'finishing school' as a revolution. In other countries, these are basic rights and normal life stages—not miracles.

While the poor man is celebrating that he finally bought a Boxer bike after 10 years of 'sowing seeds,' the people he is praying for are buying private jets with the 'seeds' he sowed.
Definitely better than being tagged a perpetual begger. The poor has to be thankful for little advances.

That is why they said "at all, at all na im bad pass'

Yes, and i wouldn’t be accused of stealing if stealing if I don’t understand the concept of stealing. A toddler sees candy on the table and reaches for it. The father says don’t eat it and leaves the room. The mother shows up and tells the toddler to eat the candy.
And the toddler says it's mummy who said I should eat it. Which is a great defence for mummy is equal to daddy. And of which a correct mumm comes to stand in her authority and rights in front of the child against daddy should daddy seek to prosecute the child.

So the case moves from the child to mummy's rights vs daddy's rights.

This is where the child needs mummy's rights to upheld so as to be a quited, as if she loses and is found to have no such rights (like a housegirl), then he is still liable, but he now stands "guilty with reason" which means mitigated punishment because mummy's rights is supposed to be protective unless she does not have it (maybe she's a wore/side chick - which means her rights are as full as that, if at all she has any)

And here, you see, the serpent had no such rights. Neither did you see him stand to defend and protect them, exactly how your classmates who told you to disobey daddy's orders of not touching his car cannot and will not protect you.

So, you see, as I told before no body can defend them.

You are 100% correct—the poor always pay the highest price in any conflict. We see it in Gaza, we see it in Northern Nigeria, and we see it everywhere.

But here is the bitter truth we are avoiding: The poor are ALREADY dying. > They are dying in hospitals that have no oxygen. They are dying on bad roads. They are dying of hunger because the economy has collapsed. The only difference is that religion makes this 'slow death' feel peaceful.

When you say the rich have their kids abroad, you’ve proven my point. The rich use Logic, Planning, and Money to secure their future, but they tell the poor to use Fasting, Prayer, and Endurance to survive theirs.

Why is it that the solution for the rich man is 'Migration' (Japa), but the solution for the poor man is 'Miracle'?

We don't necessarily need a bloody revolution, but we need a Mental Revolution. If the poor stop believing that their poverty is 'God's will,' they will start making better demands—even if it's just at the ballot box. Dying for a cause is scary, but dying slowly for nothing while 'giving thanks' is a tragedy.
I think play by play the poor are actually getting fine for funny the people I call poor, his children are finishing school, he now has a bike, one can see that something good has happened to them.

So, they already have the revolution they need for themselves
