Mshad662: If you want to speak to your parents or someone you hold in high esteem like your boss can you speak to them while playing music simultaneously, i doubt you can as its a sign of disrespect . Why then should it be different for the Creator of Heaven and Earth , The owner of our life.
Does it show respect? Like I said, it depends on the Spirit. In our house parties we still speak with our esteemed parents and those we reverence even though music is playing in the background. Sometimes the musical background is really nice and permissible but it depends on the mood, time and Spirit. |

advanceDNA: ...And if u are referring to church settings... each person is praying to God and not for anyone to listen to....because technically church gathering isn't a public place like a market or city center where Pharisees show off like pple Jesus warned
it's a private gathering of saint but only bigger because the populations have grown and pple need bigger places to gather to pray and share the communion... We may not be directly listening to the prayer the persons around us are saying however, we still hear and know the sound of their prayer. But however, when the pastor coordinating the activities is praying, he is the one leading and carrying everyone along so, everyone is listening out to him especially as sometimes we may still be praying when he changes the course of the prayer and as you know people stop and follow the new direction. So, the pastor's leading must be comprehensible. And I think that he is referring more to the pastor's ble ble ble and strange speech than the congregation's prayer things |

They left black.....and returned as caucaseans. Sure. Those that left died in those foreign places and God did say that they must die there as they long for their home. So their casting away was a punishment exactly how it was in the desert where those who left Egypt did not get to the promised land. So naturally those returning will not be the ones to return there again. It is a a punishment so those who are supposed to be punished can not be the ones to return again |

Mshad662: Perhaps there is an answer for doing the direct opposite. i'm waiting for the reasons to justify the act of praying with music and drums.
We learn everyday Don't the music and drums aid in the prayer? Though I think it depends on the Spirit, time and type of prayer which determines the mood whether it is ok or silence would have been better. However, since the preachings these days are horribly wrong every activity follows suit. |

So it is indeed a point that when the public hear you praying, your prayer must be comprehensible. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Difference Between The Biblical Israel And The Modern Israel by Dtruthspeaker: 3:15pm On Jun 25, 2025 |
BlackAdam65: - Biblical Israelite identity was tribal/covenantal (based on lineage AND obedience to Torah - Exodus 19:5-6) Same for everyone, so no point. BlackAdam65: 3. The Crucial Difference: God didn't choose Israel because of their skin color or DNA - He chose them to be a holy nation (Deuteronomy 7:6- . When they broke covenant, He said: "You are not my people, and I am not your God" (Hosea 1:9)
4. What This Means Today: - Modern Jewish Israelis have every right to a state (just as Igbos or Yorubas do) - But claiming it's the "fulfillment of Bible prophecy" ignores: - The European DNA evidence - That Jesus transferred the covenant to believers of all nations (1 Peter 2:9-10) - That Palestinians (including Christian ones) descend from ancient Israelites too... The prophecy was very clear for God Said He would throw them out of the Land when they annoy Him. Which as you already know did happen which is why you said they "returned" in 1948. The word return means that they were there before. And this is in clear fulfilment of the prophecy where God Said that He would return them to their place, which you witnessed that it occurred in 1947. Thus, the prophecy was full filled |

BlackAdam65: .. 1. On Nigerian Identity Before Colonialism: You're absolutely right that the Bini, Igbo, Yoruba and other nations existed as distinct peoples long before the name "Nigeria" existed. This actually proves my point: - Just like "Nigeria" is a modern political creation (1914), the modern state of "Israel" (1948) is different from the biblical nation. - Your ancestors didn't cease being Yoruba/Bini/Igbo when Britain drew borders - just as Palestinians didn't stop being indigenous when European migrants arrived....
2. On IPOB and Separation: If Biafra became independent, Igbos would still be Igbos - but here's the key difference: - Nigerian identity is civic/political (based on passports and laws) Do you not see how you are contradictory? You agree that Palestinians, Ibos, Isreal do not change then, you can not say that Isreal is different especially as they still retain the same name Isreal which they had before all these movements by the reigning bandits. I don't think you are taking note that it is the people who make up a state. The people are greater than the state no matter what anybody chooses to call them. So you are wrong because you are making the error of following what bandits chose to call them eg Isreal, Mumbai, Turkiye rather than following the people themselves and that is why you think that Nigerians are Nigerians because of passports and commands of bandits forgetting that even till today many Nigerians still do not have passports and shits but only a crazy person would say that they are not Nigerians. You do not take cognisance that they were first Nigerians even before they were given passports and shits. As Fela said "Human rights na my property!!! So therefore, you can't dash me my property. . Same here, no one dashes me the right to be a Nigerian same also does no one dash any Isrealite the right to be an Isrealite. |

BlackAdam65: . The Difference with Modern Ashkenazi Jews The issue isn’t about "foreign blood" in ancient Israel it’s about: - Paternal DNA Discrepancy: Biblical lineage was traced through fathers (Numbers 1:18). You raised "foreign blood" as one of your grounds of objection that is why I addressed it. Even if you move post to "Paternal DNA Discrepancy" it still does not hold as you cannot reasonably expect that our today's half caste Nigerian kids will have the the same DNA as Oba Kosoko's fathers. |

BlackAdam65: You’ve made an interesting comparison, but there’s a key difference between national identity today and biblical Israel’s covenant identity. Let me explain:
1. Modern Nationality vs. Biblical Covenant Lineage - Today: Nigerian citizenship is legal/political it doesn’t change based on marriage or mixed ancestry. So before 1890 and before the white skinned bandits came with his rule (politics) and law (legal) so we the the Binis, Ibos, Yorubas, Itshekiris, ijebus etc were not Nigerians? And if Ipob should separate tomorrow, the Ibo man would no longer be a Nigerian? Please, think well |

Faithscan: Belief should not be based on philosophical and argumentative statements. It must stand on scriptural evidences and proofs
Prove all you have said with your bible! Apparently, you do not know that philosophy has to do with thinking and man cannot live without the need and use of thinking, which you yourself acknowledged when you asked "CHRISTIANS TO CONSIDER". No one can consider a thing without applying thinking to it. So you can not dispense with philosophy aka thinking and from the beginning to the end, the bible is only about good thinking and the certainty of Judgments which we ourselves have seen. So, apparently, you thought I was going to mention that vague and elusive thing called faith, that church goers throw around when they cannot explain the grounds and basis of their belief. But I did not and so you are thrown off balance asking me to use the bible to prove all I have said when you already know the Truth of all these things I have said. So you see the question is are you truly a seeker of Truth? Or rather you are out to make others fall like you have fallen? |

Faithscan:
[b]QUESTIONS: 1. Did Jesus ever clearly and explicitly say, in his own words, “I am God, worship me”? (If not, why do you believe he is God?) Do you not see that this is boastfullness? Did your father say "I am your father, honour and obey me" before you recognised and accepted his dominion over you? There is something called common sense and it automatically points out many signs and things we ought to see. And one fact that it shows us is that when we see a Law backed King and a Ruler they are never boastfull and are always humble. It is unlawful Rulers like presidents, governors etc who have to make noise and beat/bribe people before the people start recognising them as rulers. And that is why they are always forcing children to learn "current affairs" and force them to learn who is the latest president or governor or minister. And of course for you to force me to recognise you as a ruler means that you are not a lawful ruler and you are a bandit like Bello Turji. Faithscan: [ 2. If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, how can He be “killed” or “die” on a cross? [color=red](Who was running the universe during those three days?) What does all knowing have to do with dying? Do you not already know that you can die if you travel from Abuja to Benue, yet people are doing it everyday? Secondly, so as Steve Jobs died, the iPhone has stopped working, abi? So you see, from these 2 questions it can be seen that you are asking questions that are not intelligent at all. |
Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Honest Questions For Sincere Christians To Consider by Dtruthspeaker: 8:15am On Jun 25, 2025 |
If you are truly a genuine seeker of Truth, then you would know that raising 20 questions is you trying to bully and force people into falling for what you think made you fall. So now you are trying to make others unreasonably fall as you have fallen.
If in truth you can stand, then with only 1 or 2, a person can fall without you having to forcefully push them with 20 forces. |

Which means it is part of the Message for if a person gives a message that he had no authority to give then that message is invalid. Exactly why we go to consulates to get the true and valid messages from foreign lands and not just accept the message of any person just people because he is a foreigner |

BlackAdam65: 1) Genetic studies show most modern Israelis are of European descent, while the ancient Hebrews were a Semitic people indigenous to the Middle East... So as Nigerians have japad and are married to oyibos and foreigners, they are and their children are no longer Nigerians because of foreign descent? Did you not read that even Isrealites were married to foreigners eg Canaanites, Moabites etc hence they already were "foreign decents" even before all these happened? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Difference Between The Biblical Israel And The Modern Israel by Dtruthspeaker: 7:16am On Jun 25, 2025 |
BlackAdam65: Great questions! The ancient Hebrews never disappeared. After Rome's conquest (70 AD), many remained in the land while others mixed with neighboring peoples. Their descendants are part of today's Middle Eastern populations.
They originally spoke ancient Hebrew (similar to Canaanite languages), then switched to Aramaic. Modern Israel was revived in the 1800s as a separate project.
The Bible shows God's promise was always spiritual - true descendants of Abraham are those of faith (Romans 9:6- , not any particular nation today. When you say many remained on the land, do you real eyes that you also confirm that many moved/were taken away to foreign land as God had forewarned? Is it not the ones who moved/taken away who came back massively in 1946 as also prophecies? |

I have come to the sad conclusion that trying to have a discussion with you is like listening to a cracked record that skips and keeps repeating itself. I understand that the indoctrination is very deep but try to be objective when reading the Bible at times. This is a book riddled with contradictory beliefs, genocide, murder, incest, misogyny, and family incestuous relationships. The book has been translated, re-translated,edited,re-edited,imputed,inserted and distorted so much that no one can point to the original message of such a book. This is why there are different tales of the same story. There are two creation stories. There are two flood stories. Moses allegedly writes the story of his own demise. There are two death of Goliath stories. The gospels do not agree on the resurrection of Jesus story. Paul does not know about the virgin birth and never mentions it in any of his letters.
Like I said earlier talking to you is just a complete waste of my time and data. It is you who does not real eyes that you atheists have lost since here in Nairaland as you people have no valid argument nothing except to make endless argument shifting posts to another when you find that you have proven wrong on the issue at hand. MaxInDHouse: You can twist it anyhow you want but as it's written in God's word Bible Jesus was given a name after his earthly mission that name is the Word Of God. Why? Because he has been God's mouthpiece in heaven before all other angels himself being one of them but after he succeeded in making some humans God's children through his ministry and sacrificed his perfect human life to redeem them God gave him that name:
The Word Of God! Revelations 19:13
So the person given that name is totally different from the person who gave him that name! Now you are moving post to Him being given A Name forgetting that He has always had Distinctive Names especially when He pleases His Father by accomplishing the Task His Father gives Him. So, no point. |
