The way I see it Genesis chapter 1 and chapter 2 are two completely different stories.

In Genesis chapter 1 God created all land animals, all see bearing plants and man (man and woman on the sixth day. By the seven day God's creation work has finished and he rested on the seventh day.

Meanwhile, in Genesis Chapter 2, there were no timelines. God created Man alone first, he then created trees and and planted the trees east of Eden. He gave man instruction not to eat the tree of knowledge. Thereafter God created birds and other land animals. He then put man in charge of the garden. As an after thought and his last creation, he created woman to help man in his duties.

That is what a good friend would do, he would advise you and stop you from making a bad decision.

I personally don't believe that God needs man's council in his decision making.
