Diademk07: Efficient enough? Nope.
Don't get me wrong. They are good signing but a lot of them are overpriced.
Also, I wasn't on board with Mkhi signing, not that he isn't good but my ideal winger on the right would be a pacey merchant that can go down the touchline with his dribbling to put in crosses but also capable of drifting in to combine play in the middle.. This is because Martial on the other wing isn't of such player, eventhough he's quite pacey as well. That was why I wanted Dembele and when Dortmund got him, I signalled Mane and I was happy when we were linked with Ounas.
Mkhi on the other hand is more of an attacking right sided midfielder that mostly drift in to combine play. He's not a no 10 either. His play is all about drifting in while using the commotion his 'drifting' caused to his advantage by putting in a pass. He has a good acceleration but he's not as pacey as the aforementioned players.
Pogba on the other hand is a luxury player. No doubt, he's better than the negative Herrera in the middle but I think in a 3-man midfield where he's deployed alongside an orchestrator such as Verratti, all backed up at the base by a defensive midfielder would have been a perfect fit. But with him alone, we will always get dominated in the middle and it could be worse in Europe where a similar player in Yaya often got subdued.
Anyway, it's not as if we won't get dominated with Herrera. Hence, Pogba is the lesser evil.
As for Bailley, I don't know much about him and he's been good although he's a bit rash in his play.
Lastly, Ibra. I never wanted him. He would always stifle the development of Rashford who has seen little game time. Also, apart from his goals, his all round play hasn't been impressive. He looks languid and isn't even trying to drift around the wing to allow a fluid interchanging front trio. So is the squad an improvement of lvg squad.. That's what I want to know |

Diademk07: I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just saying the fact.
We've relied on individual brilliance thus far and haven't yet faced a Real test. I admit that Pogba is an improvement on Herrera because he was always positive on the ball however he looked more like a no 10 out there while Southampton dominated the middle and could have hurt us if they had Mane to finish most of the chances they created.
It's funny when people keeps banging on a title win when we haven't really faced a real test nd have relied on individual brilliance. The only positivity yesterday was Pogba constant probing passes but then, he isn't a playmaker that controls the midfield.
My only joy is that the fraud, Herrera is at least out of the lineup. I asked a qiestion that you didn't answer...do you think mourinho has been efficient enough in the transfer market and gotten better players |

GBR1: Nihilist na confirmed ABU. He majorly picks on Martial, Bailly or Pogba whenever they have a bad game. He'll go into hiding permanently soon.
Martial's case is complicated. I think he's getting fitter and once he gets a goal, it's BOOM.
Jose would do well to keep him in the team and get him back at his best. Martial's skill set is still unique as he's the only attacking player at an high level capable of running at opposition defenses and taking them apart with his dribbling. That always come in handy. And we shouldn't forget d issues in his private life like divorce and not having to spend time well with the kids..he's do young and it would tell on his game..I think he grew into d game just that he missed good chances..he would come good sha |

Diademk07: Just scoring goals? when he was the second striker? Lol!
The fact that most of our chances came from Young and Welbeck or Kagawa whenever he came on tells a lot. We hardly create chances with Rooney and Mata on the pitch. All we see is Welbeck either taking long shot and getting busy or Young putting in crosses as a wingback when we should be creating through the middle.
Even Chicharito was creating chances for your lump of wood in that controversial Liverpool game.
This finally tells that it's you who didn't watch the match if you actually responded to my first post of "RVp and Rooney looking like dunderheads in the 352 tactic because Rvp didn't play in the pre-season and one sluggish toad in Rooney was enough already let alone having 2 in Rvp and Rooney. I've not really seen your comment about mourinho in d transfer window.. Wud you say he has brought in the right players to improve our squad |

Lana1: I agree. Chelsea should ve seen at least a red.
Seeing them play one or two matches isn't the same as dem playing over 30 games together in a season. Besides France's setup in the Euros was mostly Matuidi and Kante. No? But its a general knowledge that pogba thrives in a 3 man midfield rather than 2,so having pogba playing as a pivot won't bring out his best..you need him to float around d oppositions box where he can shoot at will at least that's his strongest suit as a mf |

Diademk07: Pique had Puyol/Mascharano who were no nonsense player to play beside him. City has Kompany but he's a sick note nowadays and he's declining so fast.
People keep talking about Stones' ball skills which I don't see. His composure on the ball under pressure is terrible and he makes as many bad passes as good ones, coupled with the fact that he's a terrible defender. I made a statement at the time we signed Bailly that in as much as I don't know much about him, I'm happy we got him and not stones.
I just don't see what Pep sees in him, same as Sane who's all about pace with average skills. The only good transfer City has made is Gundogan who's becoming sicknote already. Don't know bout the 2 Brazilians 'the Gabriels lads' though.
Anyway na dem sabi! I have watched stones enough to know that I personally see him as a very fine footballer eho starts up play from the back like hummels nd when city announced pep signing I told someone that he wud sign stones and aubemayang...I personally dont like but one thing is that hes a visionary and sees football differently like having ball playing defenders..heck see how he improved boateng and mark my words come end of seadon you guys wud see a transformed stones |

Besides Everton dulled the whole game. Came to defend in a ceremonial fund-raising game. Did they purposely come to shiit on Rooney's day? It's quite sad IMO. These kinda games should be having 5-4 score lines for heaven's sake! I even expected Rooney to play for both sides @ some point. Unfortunately, I don't think he has an eye on the throne. Yea it suprises me that he doent want the throne..lf can NEVER come close to the throne |

Bobbybube: I get everything you're saying about frank but I think you are forgetting something important. The beauty in Frank Underwood is that no matter what, no matter shooting him, heather dunbar, his corruption, manipulation and lies, conway, his father's past, his wife's over ambition, and hatred from many angles, he always comes out on top. For one man to face bombardment from his party, his friends and partners, angry journalists, Russia, terrorism, and even his wife yet always triumph is extremely admirable. What has Baelish faced in comparison. He has always had it good. leaching from one person to another. He poisoned jeoffrey yet he is still as far from the throne. The eunuch has a far better chance of getting the throne because he always has the right allies. Littlefinger is presently an ex brothel owner that has the ear of a little boy in a minor Kingdom without any real ally. Even Sansa sees through him and cannot let him kiss her. Underwood is POTUS without a single election. That itself is enough. fact........I consider him more feasible than little finger.... |
