Please anyone here in my shoes I submitted for study permit on the 10th of November at Abuja vfs, till now have not heard from them, been to the embassy twice but was always told to check next week. I seriously don't understand anymore. Please anyone with similar issue here please.....advice...from gurus on what I should do please.

Glad i’m not alone, i submitted 14th november, nothing yet. Its just annoying!!!

Why does it take forever to get a feedback from Abj, my application is over 6 weeks now, aside the two weeks break ooo. The wait is just annoying, Lagos seems like the fastest place for SA visa application or maybe it just like this in Abuja for study visa application. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrgh!!!

Mine was dispatched same day, i'v been calling them, Infact iv called so much, the guy Now remembers my name, lol. called last on friday and they said they are still expecting, so i'ld advice u confirm before travelling to Lagos.

Tracked my application and it says my passport was dispatched 03/08/2017. I called Vfs today and they said they haven't received my passport... Should I just go there?

Hello, I can see we applied same day, mine was dispatched on the 3rd as well. And they said same thing when i called. I applied at Abj tho not Lag. I think its best to confirm your passport has arrived before going there. Lets just stay hopeful.

How do i calculate this to get the Naira equivalent, my 1 yr tuition is CAD13,400 am i to calculate by Canadian dollar N240x13,400 =3,216,00 or USD @360 CBN Rate. if by CBN rate how much should be the $13.400 to Naira. please help me out to avoid had i know.

I just made my payment, stanbic charged me about 272 naira to 1 CAD. Multiply that by 13400 and add some extra cash to be on the safe side and other bank charges too.

You have to overlook the 100CAD app fee for other schs and apply. Infact apply to a minimum of 3 except you are a first class graduate.
Pls don't ever put all your eggs in one basket. Its very risky.

Even if he graduated with a first class sef, It is risky. Cos there are other things to consider, sop, reference.And some other international applicants One will compete against have work experience or published article(s),research papers. I got to read about it on reddit after i had applied to some schools, i could understand why i didnt get admitted. Learnt my lessons late, so its just best to have insurance Unis.

Lol, still a learner o and im a lady. I'ld advice you apply to more schools just to be on a safe side. Iv actually applied to 3 schools b4 now and didnt get admitted to any, ubc included. But i guess that was due to a couple of factors sha, i was naive then, thinking canada dishes out admission lyk UK. So, play it safe and apply to more schools that are less competitive, hopefully pple can suggest some unis for u. You should prolly state the course you intend to study, some1 myt be able to help. Alternatively, try n read through the thread, you'll come across some unis. Or google somtin lyk "cheap canadian universities for international students". Such unis shudnt be as competitive as ubc, utoronto and d likes. Goodluck

No uni will contact ur referees until u pay ur app fees. Ur app isnt complete without Payment of app fee.

The agent explained to me that universities are expensive and college are more cheaper so he insisted in applying he is goin to apply for college for both me and my friend.
The agent ask me to pay upfront of 100k which he will pay to the school in form of an acceptance fee to secure the visa.
Meanwhile my friend that introduced me to him also wants to process Canada through the agent but hasn't got his passport and his gonna do that month ending

Hi, reading through the thread myself, but i would advise you do some research and forget about that agent. If you read just about the last 10 pages of this thread, you'll see why using agents might be at your detriment. I know you might feel its something very difficult or impossible to do, believe me, you can do it ursef. Just try google the course you want, read the requirements, apply. And read up and put your docs together for application. This thread is morethan enough to help you with your application, if u get stucked, ask questions here, enlightened pple will help, so far you are polite. No dash any agent your money, the agent myt complicate things for you. Goodluck

It seems most unis are closed for summer entry and most are yet to start winter admission. So, take this time to do some research. You might find some unis open for your intended course of study.Goodluck

Hello, im new here also, im still tryna read up to get some basic info, i'ld advice you do the same. what is the 800k for? Visa application fee? School fees? What kinda visa? You have to do a little research to understand the process, even if your uncle will assist along the line, you should have basic understanding of what you want, so that you can ask more specific questions, which im sure, alot of experienced people on this thread will be able and willing to answer.Goodluck

The application fee is the amount you have to pay for the school to process uour application, im sure you'll easily find the payment option while applying online

*post secondary transcript is ur uni transcript(the uni u just graduated from) or transcript for all institutions u'v attended after secondary school, contact your uni to send the school a copy or if they can give you? Scan and upload online to ur application.

*you need two reference letters from your uni lecturers to support your application, depending on what the school u wanna apply to wants, you can either provide the email address of your referees in your application(the school will then send them a request for reference update) or send/scan paper copies (if allowed).

*letter of intent is your statement of purpose, could be a page or two, you write about why u wanna study the chosen course, why the uni, how will it help your future plan(s), bla bla bla...

*resume- just upload ur CV

So get all this docx, scan and upload to ur application or send to the graduate dept of the uni, so they can add it to ur application.

Medical Passed : October 25th
Denial : November 17th
Conestoga College.

2nd Application
Submission/Biometrics: November 24th (Paper)
No medical request. I submitted my previous medical print out in the new application
Hadn't heard from them after 2 months plus, sent CIC an email, they responded and requested my new LO which I sent immediately.
Approval dropped this morning.

Purpose for denial were the generic reasons. purpose of visit, fam ties, length of stay, assets and financial status. In my previous application I had dealt with all of these reasons, still I was denied. I felt it was because I applied for a PGD.. so the only thing I changed in my new application was my School. luckily, I had an offer from Carleton .. that's what I changed.

Congrats... Please when did Carleton make you the offer? Did you apply for fall term? What programme?

For those with high scores i suppose, mine wasnt that great, so i submitted to only the school that asked for the test..
