@jjk24...common subset meaning certain similarities in syntax....d language has support for some nice programming styles...and d bulk of it is simple to understand ...so anyone cna learn it....d scripting interface i will release should b very 'common sense' |
@devs....will b releasing d binaries and scripting interface with docs very soon . Try going to www.lua.org to read up about d industry popular scripting languge for game devs. I'll also make . small demo to show features...so pls give me sometime as it'll help to see working code. Desktop grab of gamescreen running with engine and script on d side.... @designers....get to work

@jivi...will do dat soon hv to work on a very light but usable doc. i feel u can start a group on whatsapp and add everyone intrested on it...we can post progress to odas on nairaland as we go...let me know |
@jivi...i wont b able to share source now...first cos i dnt know who d devs intrested in working on dis game will b, their skillset and dedication, second cos i dnt intend making d source open and we all need to hv an agreement....IP u know. i can send binaries with d script engine interface and docs...but u know dats limited...same as Unity offers...no source... my github is dueal21 |
@jivi ..yes it has support for off screen post processing and supports d various shader languages. FSAA work well and is fast enuf so no need for a fallback for now. also runs at 58fps wit all systems active...subsystems can b shutdown or paused at anytime. also has utility for physics debugging. i made it for a fightibg game but its mostly modular and doesnt hv a bias towards fighting games |

@all...it will take sometime to get to modeling....we hvnt even agreed on a style. Draft for enemy NPCs. Thinking d xters should b very stylized so ppl dnt feel bad killing a human like xter.

so long as its 3 or 4 sided faces yes they work...but modeling packages let u do stuff dat produces faces with more sides or disproportionate tri(too long).if there's a function the checks for clean mesh in ur program then good...else use zbrush to load d mesh...if it doesnt complain and u dnt see holes in d mesh imported then fine |
tips...i quite certain we need clean models (meshs having only quad faces). these wont work |
