grin Bruv no consider that side ooh e don cast.

Only if you are a citizen, you have a permanent residency or a residence permit older than 6 months should you consider other countries.

If you read through the thread you would see that people have discussed this.

All the best.
What if I get their resident permit?

Hello, Good afternoon.

I have been granted Visa to do a Master Course in Ukraine but the issue is, I don't know if I can apply for Ph.D in Germany after my Master program in Ukraine? How possible is this?
Of course you'll be able to as far as you meet up the school's criteria.

Let’s not mix it up bro.
I live in Turkey, and these are one of the things that I do to get money for myself.

When you get a Tourist visa, or a student visa you have 30 days till you apply for your residence permit.

If you’re going to another embassy in Turkey, you need a residence permit.

So having to stay in a place for 6 months, I don’t think those things are really correct most times.

I was in Cyprus for 3 months, I applied for another visa at the Turkish embassy and I was given. With my wife.
One of my friends got US visa after 3 months also.

A lot of things are on the internet for the sake of it. And also, you can decide to stay for 6 months to be in a safer side.

All the best
Wow. I'm glad to read this then. If I'm able to move to Germany in 3 months, that's even my prayer.

I'd be glad if you can host me sir.

I agree with you but I don't understand what you mean above. The moment your application for residence permit anywhere is granted, you are no longer a tourist but a resident.
Exactly! According to the information I've got, for a tourist to get a permanent residency in Turkey, the applicant must apply for resident permit after staying for a maximum of 3 months. A tourist is not permitted to stay in Turkey beyond 3 months without getting a resident permit.

MrAAA2:
I think the application is online and only interview (if they do) will be physical in their visa section of their embassy.
But then, you want to leave Nigeria for study and you do not wish to travel for your own visa application process? Or personally Google visa application mode and visa requirements?
I've got all the information I need. You'll notice this in my questions. But you know it's always right when you get more, especially practical, knowledge of the whole thing.

Yes you can, but you'll have to live for six months there before applying. See the attached screenshot.
Thanks, Donnieben.

But tourist visa a long term visa or shot term. It is included in the screen shot that someone on short-term visa cannot apply for permanent resident permit.

Modified:

I now understand that I can apply for long resident permit. I need help on on how to get flight and hotel reservation now.

Thank you.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you mean you applied for Ukrain study visa without having a school admission
Another question is: Must one go to Abuja to apply? Can't one apply in Lagos?

We’re still saying the same thing. I’m not a visa expert or an agent so I don’t know how it works if someone else is sponsoring you, but you can google online and check requirements for Turkey visa if someone else is sponsoring. As for the Money aspect, I don’t think they will grant you any visa if you submit that you earn 15-20k . because they need proof that you’re financially stable and will be coming back to your home country after the holiday . For mine it was self sponsor and I provided 2 personal bank statements with 1.4m in one of them and 1.3 in the other. So just try and do a little research and ask others who have had sponsors. I hope this helps. Cher’s
Bruv, how did you go about your flight reservation and hotel reservation?

Unfortunately that’s a question I can’t answer. I only know of my circumstances and my own experience
You know I'm asking because I don't really earn a big amount of money. My earnings vary from 10k to 15k to 20k like that. What do you think about this?

What Turkish visa do you want to apply for?
Are you going to be applying from Nigeria?

Anyways, whichever visa you get to Turkey, you’ll have to live in Turkey for six months counted from the day you got stamped in before applying for the German visa.
Yes, I would be applying from Nigeria.
Can I apply for German student visa if I go t Turkey as a tourist?

My Letter of introduction from employer
6months bank statement
6months payslips
Letter of employment
Passport photographs on white background
Print out of the filled online form
International passport.
P.s you can add any other documents that can strengthen your ties to Nigeria.

At point of submission I was asked a few questions.
What was my reason for traveling?
Where do I work and what my position there entails?
Where have I travelled to before ?
How long I’ve been working
It was an interactive session , more like I was answering the lady at the same time gisting with her. She was pleasant and very nice.

The visa fee is $135 dollar with additional $5 dollars
Then 5500 naira . So in total you’re paying
140 dollars and 5500 naira in cash at the point of biometric and documents submission.
What if I'd be sponsored by someone else? Do I still need letter of employment, letter of introduction and payslips?

In this thread, there was an applicant that used that route but he said they told him it wasn't need to wait for six months...

I can't remember the country again... Didnt bookmark it.

He applied and got the visa. It was recently posted like not more than a week or so.

Check back on past transcripts maybe u will see his testimonial and can try chatting him up...

Oh and it seems it came late or so like he already in Germany of over 3 months before he came back to give the writeup...

Try going through past transcripts.

Goodluck.

This is a guy who used the route but required six months...

I bookmarked this one.

Search for the guy who didn't...

For Lagos you don’t need an appointment, it was just a walk in. And yes you submit your documents and do your biometric the same day.
Can you please list the docs you submitted? Were you interviewed? And what is the cost of the visa fee?

Many thanks.

TESTIMONY
Although it's coming late but I know it will be a good source of information for those that are already in Ukraine and want to move to Germany on a Student visa.

My Journey to Deutschland is a case of Determination and Gratitude to God.

I started my Deutschland journey January 2019, I got 5 admission from different schools by May 2019...exactly the month the German Embassy in lagos started this Category A and B of a thing...with thier conditions I fall into Category B. I booked an appointment with category B in May 2019..I prayed and fasted for a month for an appointment and that's to no avail...middle of June I booked category A with a leap of Faith and got an appointment immediately for 6 days later being 24th of June 2019.

I went for my appointment that day after check with Mr Paulinus I was allowed in...when it's my turn to be interviewed..the visa officer was so nice to me but had to turn me back as she said I can't be interviewed cos I didn't belong to category A...I was devastated but it didn't kill my spirit...I had to come back home and rebooked category B with my fasting and prayers. The winter semester 2019 passed no AD, I got an admission for summer 2020 booked and appointment again for Category B the summer semester passed no AD.

By May 2020 I told myself the truth that if I must achieved my dream of studying in Germany I must do it the hard way...I checked up for Ukraine as it will be a good route for me...I applied for Ukraine study visa and got my visa by August 2020. I moved to Ukraine in October after thier lockdown lifting on september 28.

Getting to Ukraine I registered with a school, Got an accommodation and also got my residence permit by end of November 2020. I also got my admission for Germany summer semester 2021 but I was confused whether I will stay in Ukraine for six months before applying from there...I called thier visa center..( Visametric).that was in December of 2020. I told them that I came into Ukraine in October that was 2 months back as of then...if it's possible to apply immediately or stay for 6months...They gave me a wonderful news I wanted to hear that I can apply immediately....they gave me date of on the phone immediately for December 11 which I later cancelled cos my block account wasn't ready..and rebooked for end of January 2021.

On the day of my appointment I went to the visa center ( visametric) at kryshatric street in Kiev.. as they told me on the phone..that there won't be any interview for the visa....It was only me that came for the submission that day..They just checked my documents and confirmed it was ok..I paid my vfs fee, visa fee and thumprinted.

Exactly a month after I received a call from the visametric that my documents has been returned from German Embassy and will be delivered the next day...my BP was on the high side as I wasn't aware of the content but I was very hopeful...when the parcel was returned the visa was stamped to the Glory of God. I was given a 6 months visa as against thier normal 3 months because of corona.

I arrived Germany two weeks ago... Germany is beautiful... Germany is powerful...I have been to Ukraine but seriously u can't compare the two..I just moved into my apartment in Nuremberg city and in the process of my residence permit at the moment.

THE GERMAN DREAM WORTH IT..... PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP..
Hello bro, please I'd like to connect with you as regards the Ukraine Student visa.

Hello guys, I'm here to share my whole admission to visa experience on this German waka. I hope this lightens the mood here because I know the mood around here is down .

So I've been on my German journey since late 2018, I tried applying to many schools for Msc admission and got loads of rejection which dampened my mood but I decided I was not going to relent. So all through 2019 I was seeking admissions in public schools and I wasn't getting any, I guess because my course of study was in high demand (Data science) which requires the best Bsc result.

In the midst of this rejection offers I decided not to relent and was a follower of this German visa thread on nairaland. I began to notice that even with admission letters, appointment letters at the Embassy was not forthcoming and so I decided to leave Nigeria.

Early this year I decided on moving to Turkey, with the aim of staying six months and then moving to Germany, at this point I had no German admission yet but I decided on pursuing it. I came to Turkey in March and during the whole lockdown I started looking out for more schools to apply to in Germany.

My plan was very simple, I would come to Turkey , stay for six months with their residence permit and then apply for German visa after getting admission to Germany. So, I was sending applications here and there while I was in Turkey here and BOOM I finally got an admission to one of the best schools in Germany (top 10 percent worldwide). At this point I already had my Turkish resident permit and was waiting for my six months to complete before I apply for the German study visa at the Embassy here.

Finally, the six months elapsed, and then I began the visa application process which was very simple and fine .

The Process here in Turkey is very simple:

1. They have a third-party body (iData) that you book visa appointments through.
2. You pay about 69 Turkish lira which is an equivalent of (4500 naira) and then they tell you in two weeks you'll get an appointment to go to the Embassy. Mine came in 9 days.
3. They sent me the required documents and everything I needed to take to the Embassy which was not a problem at all. Required documents were blocked account confirmation ( I used expatrio), health insurance which expatrio provides, original copy of your degree certificate, visa application form and biometric passport photographs and most importantly 75 euros and motivation letter.
4. And so I went to the Embassy, guys it was very smooth there.. no stress whatsoever. I got to the Embassy on time . Had a wait time of 20 minutes and then it was time to talk to the visa officer.
5. The interview questions were smooth though plenty, I advice for preparation and calmness. So at the end of the interview the visa officer told me I will be given a visa decision in 4-6 weeks and so I left.
6. Guys, exactly one week after my visa interview , I received a call from the Embassy that my passport and other documents are being shipped by UPS and they are calling to confirm my home address. I responded accordingly and they said in 2 - 3 days I will receive my documents.
7. I am glad to say I received my passport with the visa stamped.

I can say I am ready to travel to Germany and start a new phase in my life..

Cheers Everyone!! For everyone still trying and hoping to leave Nigeria for Germany or anywhere else, I believe everyone's dreams and wishes will come to pass.

Hi Guys. It’s been months I put up this post here and I’ve received mails and requests on the process and how everything went. People have asked about the cost implication and the possibilities. It appears my post wasn't totally informative and will like to update it.

So, I left Nigeria for Turkey on a study visa. Before I left I did some research on the kind of permit I will be getting and if it will be eligible to apply for a German National Visa in Turkey.

I went as a student and got a student residence permit but from the new laws I see now going as a tourist will save you more money and you would still be able to apply for the German National Visa. All you need to provide is proof that you are a permanent resident in Turkey and this is done by showing you have been living in Turkey for the past six months.

This is my student route process: As I said I went as a master's student from Nigeria. Another new law in Turkey which I noticed from most of their schools is that they don't grant Msc admissions for February intake, though I was fortunate to get mine in February 2020. So I went as a student. The university I applied to had a tuition fee of $4,000 for the whole program and you will have to pay $2000 for the first semester and for registration before you are recognised as a student and granted eligibility to apply for your long term resident permit when you get into Turkey.

For living expenses in Turkey, their national currency is the Turkish Lira which is not so stronger than the naira. For accomodation you can have a budget of $150 to be paid monthly. the houses don't come furnished but you can furnish them from the second-hand market. With a budget of $300 you can get a bed and mattress, kitchen items , a sofa and maybe a washing machine. Internet home subscription is unlimited though you will have to pay $10 monthly. Water, electricity and gas bills can go for $30 dollars or slightly lesser based on your usage. For feeding you can live on $200 (it all depends on how you eat). The job market in Turkey is not so good, most foreigners engage in trading - they buy clothes and ship to customers in every part of the world. Some people do tile exports, door exports and others. Ready available jobs are home cleaning jobs with minimum monthly earnings of 1,400 Turkish lira or 1200.

The reason I had to update this post was so people who decide to go through this route have a good understanding of what is involved.

I really hope the embassy situation in Nigeria improves so people don't have to go through this stress.

For those wishing to come to Germany my suggestion is you start learning German anyway you can and also if it's possible the schools you choose should have proximity to the big cities where you can readily find jobs and the language will not be a barrier.

I wish everyone the best.
Hello, bro. Do you know whether if I book for Turkey Visa I can be able to apply for German Student visa over there.

And would I have to stay for 6months?

Thanks.
