donbuscka: Hi guys... thank you all for providing so much information in just a single platform and thread. I applied for tourist visa with my wife and when i called the consulate in lagos to ask if i could submit our documents myself, the person told me that even I myself did not need to come to submit it. That i should send them through courier with a prepaid self addressed envelopes for both of us so that they will return our originals and passport when processing is done. So i did that.
I packaged our applications in separate envelopes and I paid in a bank and put each teller in each pack. Then went to DHL to post them. I paid for self addressed envelops and put them inside each pack and then put the 2 packs inside one envelop and sent them both to Consulate in lagos.
The pack was delivered next day morning and by the end of that next day, our applications changed status from "Sent" to "Under Review".
So we are just praying and hoping they send back our passports with visas in them. Please, can you tell me the documents you submitted and the number you called. |

mekanta7: Currently I'm still in the school accommodation for now, but I will be moving out next week to my own rented accommodation. The infrastructure here is absolutely great. As a student your bus pass is free, medicals is free upto some certain extent. The power supply is steady, the power has never gone off since I arrived here. This is a perfect retirement Island for Europeans and Americans. Can I come in as a tourist and extend my stay? |

Ricost: I did click the link on the email where it was approved, but the date I saw was January 2024 Something is wrong somewhere. You can email the consulate. While you do that, if you haven't been denied visa before, switch to Abuja, pick any available date and apply for Emergency there. They should give you. |

MelaninGemstone: Please, someone should advise me No give yourself any unnecessary headache. Ensure the new passport is available before January 13 when you'll be going for interview. Go to the consulate with the two passports. There would be no problem whatsoever. |

Ricost: I received two emails today, 1 of them said that my EA has been approve and the other said that it has been denied from lagos consulate. I was confused and decided to check my dashboard to see things for myself. At the left hand side I saw Cancel Appointment, Reschedule Appointment, Emergency, logout. And then I checked the reschedule appointment the dates I saw was January 18 2024, meanwhile the initial date given to me was September 2022, and my school is supposed to resume by 13of January 2022. Please what do I do now On the email where your appointment was approved, there would be a link which would direct you to reschedule. Click that link and you should have a closer date to be selected from. |

OTZgh:
Been to Singapore severaly from Ghana being a seaman and I tell you its not an easy place to even enter.A very expensive country with a higher standard of living. They really don't treat West Africans cute refferring to our ecowas passport as 'the green leaves'. I personally witnessed yr two Ghanaians, two Nigerians and a south African denied entry at the airport based on the immigration officer on duty's discretion only and sometimes end advanced countries such as Ireland and UK,(witnessed).Ofcourse I went there with a work permit from the shipping company so I gotta little freedom and don't fear so much going everytime.Singapore is a delicious place where workers earn decently but not easy to get there. No hustling there please! channel that to the States and other western countries as well as schooling, its super expensive. ask any question and will gladly assist you -OTZ. Hello, boss please can I also travel to Singapore with Ghana work permit? |

sbot: Oh wow,
Thank you boss.
Please do you have an idea if I’d need to submit a POF to get an I-20 form? Yes, if the school does not give you funding. If the school does, and it covers your entire cost of the program, you don't need POF. |

Appreciate your kindness, boss.
But should the new school go beyond the time your visa expires, what’s to be done, please? When you resume there, meet with the immigration official of the school, that would be fixed out easily. |

Austin1450: Thanks a lot for your reply but that would mean that I would be getting a language course visa instead of a student visa right? Because Studienkolleg is still under student visa type because after the Studeinkolleg exam” FSP “ you get admission directly into University without having to come back. From what little I read, with language course visa you will have to come back but with Studienkolleg you apply to your choice of University afterwards. So please how do I go about it? Not true. You can go ahead and resume in your school. |

Austin1450: I am going for studentkolleg, I applied March and got an acceptance that was based on the invitation to write the studienkolleg entrance exam that was scheduled for August 3rd. Somehow along the line, I didn’t get that invitation because they said” the spaces were full” but I personally believe it was because they knew the visa situation here in Nigeria. I currently have my B1 Goethe certificate and they even evaluated my WAEC. This is the reason I decided to ask questions in order to find out what exactly to do because I can only make a new application in March for the Summer semester. So I would like to know what I should do incase I get an appointment date this December and what is the likelihood that happening? Go for your interview as far as you have your block account. Quickly get a language school admission. It doesn't take more than two to three days. |
