Can Silva handle the pressure of attackers in a 4 man defense especially in cases where the full backs like to drift to attack with the way Poch sets up his fullback. Silva is like over 40yrs (unofficial age)... On the counter we would be toast

Chelsea won trophies nd did well both pre Hazard and post Hazard. Hazard left Chelsea since 2019, Poch isn't the first person to coach Chelsea without Hazard

Those four guys were all scorers. William was had the poorest output but he was a free kick specialist...and really contributed his part too. Pedro was scoring delicious screamers from outside the eighteen. Little said about hazard and Costas contributions.

Conte also had magic, Kante and fabregas in the midfield. Only Enzo can make the bench of that team or be a substitute...cos both matic and kante held their own.

Bottom line is the team we have now are mid table boys that don't know the importance of playing for silverware. They are not hungry...they are not dossapointed for losses. They lack the ambition to fight for top honors.

It still boils to the coach. With Costa, Hazard, Pedro we didn't get past the RO16 in the UCL with all their experience. But Tuchel won the UCL with likes of Mount nd Havertz.

If i also recall these guys also finished 10th the season before Conte came in and twerked his system in and we won the EPL. Poch experimenting on what he knows little about. Clearly not being decisive enough on his team selection nd performance. The only reason Enzo is stepping up to pick the pk is clearly cos there was no planning on who plays it. Enzo was missing empty net in preseason there's no way he wouldn't have missed that. No technique.
As a coach you got to have a plan ahead before time not useless experiments. We look very mid cos of his selections

Conte made the most of the players he had at his disposal
Not playing LB Chiwlell as winger and carrying out stupid experiments like Poch has done for the past 2 matches.
If Hazard was left isolated in front we still wouldn't have achieved anything

What sort if bottling manager throws in Caicedo into such a tensed match while losing for his first ever match. It has never worked in the past and was never going to work. Only one person deserves the blame and ofcourse it was going to be Poch. I remember when the match was about to start and i saw the mid lineup i told those around me Poch was either going to learn the soft way or the hard way and ofcos he chose the hard way.
I only pray he has indeed learnt. If not those billions spent would end up looking bang average after a run of bad results and loss of confidence

Pochetino isn't Conte. With the rubbish experiment Poch has been doing in these 2 opening games which is totally different from what we saw in preseason is evidential the man is already mixing his bottling recipe and cooking for failure.
I pray this doesn't turn to a very long season. With the formation, players selections and decision making of Poch i already zeroed my mind into us getting anything from the match from the first minute.

chelsea should not waste money to buy a dm. we can convert a defender to 4,James can play there sometimes,chalobah can still. guardiola converted stones to dm,chalobah is a better shooter and faster and more aggressive than stones. he can definitely be converted with slight training and adjustments. in fact, that should be pochetinos challenge in Chelsea as a versatile coach, you can't have everything. pep did not have everything, but he kept winning with tactical and player adjustments. he played debruyne as false nine and won, and now stones as dm and won cl. players have definitely been adapted before, bale from defence to attack. pochetino is welcome, but if we do not get an affordable dm, his challenge starts there.
