WhoDeyHause:I think the board and this new owners have been more than fare. Under the previous Marina led administration Kante would have been begging for that 3 year contract cos they probably wouldn't have offered more than 2 years. I believen Kante still has upto atleast 2uears in him of solid performance. But these injuries are now going as far back as from the 2019/20 season. Meaning its been an off nd on thing and seems to be getting worse as the years goes by. Kante has too quality normally. But when he gets those injuries it usually affects our progress cos our midfield immediately takes a stumble. That's why i would love us moving on from him and getting a suitable replacement who's still young and vibrant. Even if not same quality with Kante but can do the major job required |
forgiveness: if you actually know Chelsea as well as you claim you do. Then you would have been smart enough to know Chelsea over the years hardly gives players above 30 more than a year contract. No matter who that player is. It's always been a year contract. If he does well then it's extended if he doesn't he leaves.Kante getting more than 2 years contract with an option of a third is the new board being generous and trying to make some changes.

forgiveness:Lol. When a kid is 5 he calls himself old cos he's no longer 3. When he's 10 he calls himself old cos he's not 5. This one has been here for a minute and thinks he's in the advance class to talk football with me. Lol Anyways apologies for thinking you were a Barca fan. You're in your rights to make the Kante argument however you please |
WhoDeyHause:Oh wow. Seems i have been away for quite a while now. I no dey updated on the affairs of the thread anymore and all these new monikers flooding in here . My bad.But still on still wishing Kante on the club for another 4 years or miserable absence due to injuries isn't a progressive thought view |
Ballzproblem2:Definitely won't. Probably never will. But someone consistent enough should be fit enough to do the necessary nd basic job All this on and off thing with Kante dey usually stall our progress in matches |
forgiveness:Focus this your energy on beating Inter on Wednesday cos if una no win that match Kante fit wave goodbye from Uropa league ![]()

Chelsea no wan give Kante the 4 years contract. Most Chelsea fans ain't complaining but suddenly na Barca fan carry ham for head ![]() Wonderful |
forgiveness:Oga like i said Kante will be free this summer. Make una go sign ham. All this shalaye talk isn't taking us anywhere |
Ballzproblem2:Kante has 2 years at best to be @ the top. Chelsea should go shop for a suitable replacement for him |
Ballzproblem2:Big man na simple metaphor. Football is a huge investment... As you could be a legend for joining the right club at the right time or you could be a nobody if you don't take your chance. In 2022 Crypto can be regarded as one of the biggest investments in the world. Normally i shouldn't even be replying this but anyways you have your answer |
Trevor012:The main issue is being underpaid. Kepa was signed by Marina for world record fee for a goalkeeper from Bilbao for about 70M. Mendy was signed due to Kepa falling out with the coach (Lampard) and clumsy goalkeeping. Tuchel came in and made him the undisputed choice. Now Mendy isn't great tactically, not great at controlling the ball with his feet, clumsy at times and made quite a number of errors leading to goals. Not good at saving penalties either. He's just great at making saves which of late since last season he has been barely average at best in making saves Chelsea has been trying to get rid of Kepa for a while but that hasn't worked out. Mendy rejecting that contract... A contract which was worth more than his current wage was a very dumb move. Is he expecting over 200k a week? Very dumb move |
At some point you'd expect these players to know that playing football isn't just a profession or mere job, its an investment. When you make a wrong investment on your footballing career you'd only have yourself to blame for not achieving more. A perfect example of that is Jay Jay Okocha. Talented, good. A delight to all who watched him but there's hardly individual achievements Willian gambled with Spurs and Chelsea and was quite lucky he chose the right investment cos he did win lots with Chelsea. Hazard at Madrid is hardly a bad investment (achievement wise) but career-wise it didn't favour him. Willian left Chelsea when offered a 2 year deal cos he wanted 3. Turned out to be a bad investment And now we have the Kante/Mendy dilemma. Kante has been offered a good deal. But cos Koulibaly got 4 years. He's screaming for 4 years. Mendy was offered a good deal as well but cos Kepa earned 190k, he felt too big nd started rejecting contracts(someone who was Jobless just a few years) now chilling on the bench earning peanuts of about 60k Chelsea's like a Crypto Investment. You snooze, you lose |
forgiveness:How exactly does this relate to Kante staying or not? It's very simple. It's obvious you value Kante more than we the fans. You can have him for free next summer. Give him a lucrative contract for 4 years and go win the Champions League with him It's a logical and simple solution. Doesn't require digging documents from 500AD. Oga ![]() |
forgiveness:Oga focus on your club. You can get Kante for free and pay him his wages for 4 years next summer. |
drisham:You can't shame the shameless. Atleast we no use "Apian way" sign players only to dey fight for Europa league place |
I hate English coaches. This Potter na fool Clearly no show of charisma. Mo®on |
BlueAngel444:Chilwell was even worst in the second half than the first. Tuchel was sparing him more blushes. The substitution was right. But the replacements weren't as he didn't do like for like changes but experimental changes like moving Reece James to Lwb. If Kouli was taken off that man probably would have left James at Lwb for maybe extra 15 mins while Cucurella was right there. |
BlueAngel444:Getting into which game. Fantasy football? |
I remember scenes when Cucurella was just signed... Folks here were like "Tuchel's a fool, idiot. Todd is stupid. Chilwell is the best thing after sliced oranges. Thunder fire Tuchel... Cucuruku has not played for national team before, overpriced fowl, idiot, scaliwag, he go chop bench, Chilwell will bench him, Chilwell is better than him, Spanish flop, only British boys like Chilwell should play, waste of money" After Match day 1. "Hmm Cucurella is good tho, Hmm Chilwell's still recovering from ACL for the 8th month, Cucurella can pass sha, Cucurella is amazing. God bless Todd for signing him" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Playing Cowill next to Sar and Chalobah was a brilliant setup. ![]() |
posty56:Kennedy was the most impressive player in that second half. If Odoi and Ziyech did half of what he did in that 45mins then we won't have been fasting nd praying for Raphinha to come |
BlueMann:Glad sugar mummy Marina is out. If not Raphinha would probably be going home with not less than 180k a week if she was the one on the wheels for the deal. |
OpenHeaven2019:Hoping this happens for some obviously selfish reasons |
BlueRayDick:Lol well u no go too blame ham. The girl planned out a crafty backup lie which ofcourse has to revolve around Rape which she initially told her parents to appear as the victim. Ubi Franklin come sprinkle salt and pepper to the news. Buh as soon as the video came out everything became clear. |

Android22:Lol. You're Funny. I like that... It's all good |
Android22:Lol your example doesn't really coronate with what we are talking about. You said Positionless. In this context normally anyone would think you refer to a player being versatile enough to fit or suit different styles or positions of play. But you claimed it isn't the same thing and Positionless was a term that has a meaning of its own different from Versatility. But then in the footballing world that word "Positionless" seems not to have a meaning which prompted me to ask for a source where such word has been used in connection to football since the history of the sport and here you are making explanations with examples that still doesn't connect |
Android22:When a manager assigns a player to a specific position then he's not positionless na. That word doesn't exist in Football/Soccer. If it does please show us. And please not from a positionless source ![]() |
Android22:Versatility is the word. Positionless is like saying he doesn't have a position. That makes him no different from you. Jesus is a striker who's versatile and can play both the wings and the 9. But i'm more interested in the second paragraph of your speech. Makes zero sense cos i don't know which club or manager in his right senses would sign a striker only to convert him to a midfielder. |
if you actually know Chelsea as well as you claim you do. Then you would have been smart enough to know Chelsea over the years hardly gives players above 30 more than a year contract.
