My Dear 'Powerful' Pastors,

There are many of you out there who have made us believe you are powerful. We see many of you who just go near people and they fall to the ground and you claim that the Devil in them has thrown them down just as it happened with Jesus while he walked the earth.

As a Christian myself all I want is that these claims are true. Also, as a Christian, I wouldn't want my faith to be brought to ridicule all because of the fraudulent acts of some impostors and charlatans.

I know that there are people who would protect their religious background no matter what happens. But true Christianity is all about the truth, not just religious affiliation. Many people have wondered if you people are real or not and many have accused you outright of being imposters. Now, there is a real opportunity for you not only to prove beyond doubt that you are of God but also to serve the Church of Christ in Nigeria when it needs you most. That situation is the current menace of herdsmen who are kidnapping pastors, killing priests and threatening the Church.

All the miracles Jesus performed (from turning water to wine, to feeding 5000, to delivering demoniacs) were all performed in the face of great needs, right there at the point of need, and not just to make shows. So, anyone who claims to be following after Jesus will not be expected to follow any other pattern apart from this.

There is nothing else that will make someone go on a killing spree, killing those who have not attacked them or offended them in anyway, except demon possession. So those of you whom we have seen on TV countless times go near supposed demoniacs and they fall to the ground and begin to confess, it is time for you to start going near the herders and other Boko Haram members. Or, does it mean you don't care if the Church of Christ in Nigeria perishes?

Imagine you Father Mbaka, Prophet TB Joshua, Jeremiah Fufeyin, Pastor Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, Apostle Suleman, Pastor Muoka, and others like you starting a deliverance project meant to deliver the herders from the grips of the blood-sucking demons that have possessed them! Or, does it mean that you don't care about the souls of the herders or about the threats that they constitute to the church in Nigeria? These demons that have possessed them that make them kill, have sex with cows and do other abominable things are exactly the kind we have supposedly seen many times desert their victims at Synagogue Church of All Nations, Omega Fire Ministries, MFM, Chosen Revivals, etc. So, why not meet them where they are as Jesus would have done? Why not deliver them?

Now, Jesus performed miracle as a means of proving his authenticity. As he said "The works I do in my Father's name testify about me" (John 10:25). So, you guys need to prove your authenticity too by means of this raw situation of need. Otherwise, you have no right to insist that people believe in your ministries. Thank you.

My own view is that, out of the four meanings here, only one has the idea of overthrow of government and which would involve violence and Sowore has already said there would be no violence - which means that that is clearly not the one he meant. So, why is the government afraid of the people's protest if they have no skeletons in their cupboards?

The Nigerian Police have tried to justify the arrest of Sowore based on the the fact that he used the word 'revolution' in referring to the protest event he is organizing in spite of the fact that he made it clear that there would be no violence. This is why I went and checked the Merriam Webster's Dictionary to see how right they are. Now, see the screenshots and tell us what you think about it lest we err in our judgment of the matter.

You are crying more than the bereaved. Americans and Europeans still believe in God in their numbers. Let Nigerians realise that in a democracy such as we have in the country, the people are the Masters and the government is made up of the executive, the legislature and the judiciary. It is not made up of the executive alone. So, in this situation where the executive and the judiciary fail and the legislature doesn't do anything, then let the Masters (ie. the masses) do something. Otherwise, let no one blame the president only after this because we should all share the blame for the failure of democracy in the nation.

Of what use is democracy in a milieu where court orders are flagrantly disobeyed by the executive arm and nothing happens afterward? That is the situation with Nigeria under Buhari. Where there is no effective separation of powers with mutual checks and balances, there is only dictatorship, not democracy and that's what Nigeria has turned into under Muhammadu Buhari. The situation is even worse when his disobedience of the law is leading to the death of thousands of the Citizens of the country he presides over.

The president only uses the judiciary to achieve his aim rather than to preserve the laws of the Land. One case that has brought this out very clearly is the current imbroglio with the IMN (Shiites). Consider how the president has disobeyed an order of the High Court to release El-zakzaky for years yet he remained the president of the country whose laws he swore an oath to preserve and protect and represent.

Now consider how the president has obtained an order of the same High Court to ban and proscribe IMN who have suffered the President's injustice all these years. It means that the judiciary is simply a tool in the hand of the president which he uses as he pleases. This is a total ridicule and destruction of democracy in Nigeria and by this the president of the country doesn't deserve to be president anymore. So, let him resign or be impeached accordingly.
